Is anyone practicing atm ?

Nah, but as I won't have to go to school tomorrow (God bless holidays :) ) I'll be practicing at some time.

Oh man, is there SO much good stuff in those races Geeky :D

are we really the only one running around 2:08-2:07?

this makes me push for next season's power to weight rules...

It was meant for the second season, but I think the Volvos deserve a change.

Although if you do change please make sure it is all the volvos that change, I dont want the volvo team with one new volvo and one old volvo.

Wont the stage 3 turbo help? Changing mid season seems a little strange tbh could open a can of worms.:nervous:

thats true, shuld have thought about that,

I believe it would be best to leave it as it is

From someone who's won in the Volvo C30 in my races, don't make any mid-season add's - test the car so it fits in much as posisble with the rest for the next season 👍

Wow, that video looks nice Geeky! Now just remember to catch ALL the excitement of turn 1 in highlights of race 2 :D

And feel free to add my photos to the website :)

Volvo may have the chance to use turbo lvl 3 instead of changing the car, I think it would make us more competitive, what do you think geeky? what do you think teammate?

i think changing car mid-season would be inappropriate. I guess racing and testing at the autumn ring gave us a wrong indication of the car's potential :P

turbo lv3? wouldn't that be un unfair advantage? ithink someone here tested turbo lv2 and said on autumn ring it would make the car almost 0,5s faster... a lv3 would be even better than that?

or maybe not, beacuse it's the weight the main disadvantage? i'll test with lv3 turbo today if i have the chance and post results.

please m3 take some flying laps on the car and check the times comparing them to mine. After last race i feel I'm slow more than the car :P

@rallymorten: thankyou :)

@M3one: we do not want anyone to have an advantage, some cars are good at monza, some are good at other places.

7/8 seconds is rather alot though which is a shame tricky to tweek stuff now i guess others may want the same.:indiff:

I too will test the Volvo with stage 3 tomorrow probably, just to see.

we should have tested better before starting :P

also for next season i keep saying let's try to use power to weight ratio.

can you guys post the weight of each of the cars in the championship?

Bottom line is theres too many cars with too many variations i mentioned at the start of this it was very ambitious:lol:
On the plus much will no doubt be learnt and put towards improving Geekys second innings.👍

The BMW can be downtuned to 1240 kg (what was used in the test races) but as you know we were forced up to 1300kg, and with my success ballast from Suzuka it'll be 1350 kg.

Speaking about success ballast, does the ballast we win in Suzuka have to be applied in Monza too? And if yes, doesn't that mean the winners from Autumn Ring must have their ballast?

Which is why I thought it was a better idea just to include 2012 BTCC cars, eg...

S4, Vectra, Focus, Civic, 330i, Golf

...still, I think it's going pretty well for the first season 👍

YES that sounds like a great idea.

wow someone agrees! :D

I agree fully with the above posts. The regs have been set and should stay as that. The idea is that the cars are tested so they're all close and then the season commences.

Ok it is offical,
Next seasons cars will be as suggested earlier in the threads but done by power to weight ratios.

dont worry, you've got 6 more races before we change ;)

Great!! I looking forward to the next season:tup:, but first we have to finish this :ouch:. Ive been trying our Volvo and my best is 1.55.7. I think the set up is really good, but its difficult to go faster.

We are only 5s from the top. Can we change our name for HRT?

You mean this one?

Honda Civic '08
Ford Focus ST '06
BMW 330i '05
Vauxhall/Opel Vectra 3.2 V6 '03
Volkswagen Golf V GTI '05
Audi S3 (nearest to the A4)
Volvo S60
Alfa 156
Honda Accord
Peugeot coupé 406 3.0 V6 '98
Toyota Corolla
Honda integra TYPE R '04 premium
Alfa 147
Seat Ibiza (instead of Leon)
Holden Commodore
Nissan Primera (you forgot it for this season)
Volvo C30
Toyota Soarer (can be used as Avensis replacement)
Honda Integra '99
Older Honda Civics
Renault Megane Renaultsport

And, no offence, what's keeping race 2 back, really want to see it :)

RobFocus
This one I assume?

BTW, are we racing with the chicane on Friday?

That one too but was also thinking of 90es Civics.. And I hope we race with chicanes on Friday, we have to if we want weather change

The difference can be made up by a lot of things, maybe an unintentional corner cut or not using the chicane version, there's many possibilities.

Personally I look forward to a (unconfirmed) rainy Monza as long as we can do better than this, this, and, not to forget, this and this

Maybe we should put some sort of safety-barrier, say if water-on-track reaches e.g. 30% the SC (if interested) will deploy and by 50% we'll make a red flag?
