As for the turbo penalty if there is no difference then we can get rid of it if everyone agrees? :sly:
 
Yeah you're right, ditch turbo penalities and just keep the FR/4x4 penalties.

Btw, are we running Sports Softs now?
 
also we should start checking who is interested in participating in the championship... and see if we can came up with some same-cars teams too...

i'm thinking to go volvo and going to participate

Once the regulations have been sorted I think we should start a sign-up thread in the main section, then the car/team choices will come into it.
 
With the BMWs, especially the 330, they are going to be much heavier so I reckon we can even them out.

Is the Civic still the fastest of the FFs? If so I'll go tinker with the BMW so that it runs similar times to the Civic. I expect the 330 to be slower than the 135 because it's a bigger heavier car.

As an aside - will the rules enforce mandatory spoilers? I prefer to run without as I always end up fighting understeer without adjustable front downforce...

I'll do 'em both in RH and SS.
 
the tuned volvo is slightly faster, by a couple of tenths... the civic was mostly untuned tought so all the FF are quite even beside the dreadful alfa
 
Using the 330 on SS I ran similar times in the Civic. Tested on Nurburgring GP/D as I know it well.

The Bimmer did a 1:39.4 and the Civic only did a 1:40 - but will go faster as I was often 0.6s faster in the first section before I'd make a dumb mistake.

The BMW had every tuning part and weight modification done and then used the Engine Limiter to reduce power to 290.

The Civic was tuned in exactly the same way but limited to 300hp so it seems the power limitation is about right.

The BMW has the corner speeds but the civic will destroy it on the straights. Any more penalty for the BMW and it'll be completely uncompetitive come race day.

rallymorten in both / BMW 330i / R.M.R. Motorsport (1-car team)

If it's possible I'd like to become an independent or something similar as the start might be a little too late but I'll do what I can to be there most of the time

oh if we get to play with teams of 2 with the same car, i would suggest for each team choosing an unique color, and for each teammate an unique rim color, so that in replays and photo after the race all players can be identified!
 
i noticed you forgot to add points per place to the list, along with pole position bonus points...

I was hoping drivers would do that, I have added points, and do people ant a extra point for pole in the first race? (not second as it will be a reverse grid ;))

If you can/want we can make bonus points for PP and fastest lap in each race and fastest lap of the weekend

Just saying, you might wanna change it to:
1pt for pole position in race 1
1pt for fastest lap in race 1
1pt for fastest lap in race 2
1pt for fastest lap of the race weekend

And are we doing official preseason tests Friday?
 
Hi guys, would like to take part.

italianfiat / chicken_pop_pops / BMW 330i / Ebay motors

I'm not the best driver, but am a big fan of BTCC

Can't make the first race on the 18th I'm afraid, but will be fine for the rest of the season.
