Not being able to put the power down was killing me on Eiger, like the first half of the lap was just wheelspin. Kinda OK with that result though.

Ok guys I've updated my previous posts, I have to admit VTiRoj surprised me,
a Toyota 86 GT 2012, is a nice car, but I was expecting somthing more, well customizable for one! I mean for goodness sake Roj! your the only professional
tuner here!
(that I know of) But it makes the budget, EXACTLY!
So since Roj is the only Professional tuner here what does that make me?:embarrassed: The only UnProfessional tuner here?:lol::lol:
I tuned the brake balance. :sly:
Actually on that note, the only tuning I ever do to BCC cars is brake balance and sometimes downforce. Usually I just pick a grippy set of tyres and spend the rest of the budget on power adders.
I tend to agree with Roj on this one for what its worth. In a season where tires were part of the budget you will most likely find more performance upgrading the tires than you can get from a either the height adjustable or fully customizable suspensions. That being said the stock suspension generally can only handle so much power for a given tire before adding more power can actually degrade performance. I used a second car as a test mule for this season and replacing my height adjustable suspension with a low rpm turbo (both cost Cr.4,500) actually produced lap times that were close to 2 seconds slower despite adding another 20hp and 30ft-lb of torque. I'm pretty sure that if the car was still on its stock Sports Hard tires there would have been either no difference in lap times or the extra power would have been faster.

As several of you driving FRs have stated you've had trouble getting your available power to the ground on these tires. Adding more power only makes that worse, while taking steps to help effectively apply your power could pay serious dividends in the cars performance.👍👍

I found the car was much more stable with a lot of ballast pushed to the back (weight distribution on the Nissan is ridiculous, 60/40 ), but I wasn't able to capitalise on it sadly.

So know I'm just waiting for McRoflSandwhich, who had missed an item on his list which put him over budget, is rerunning his tests. In the spirit of good sportsman ship I'm shure your won't mind waiting for the official results.
Thanks Guys!

Sorry about causing the delay guys! I've just emailed Viper with my time. I stupidly went over budget by 1,000Cr without realising :dunce:

Shows how good my addition skills are

EDIT:

My drift score is now submitted too :D

:Banghead: No no, um yeah, I just meant he's the only one with a shop, and I did say in parentheses, that I know of. BTW, wait till you see McRoflSandwhich's time!

Ah, if you want the results today looks like I'll actually have to try the challenge today :P

EDIT: Right well I set myself a target to reach for this, and I reached it pretty quickly. Whether that means I'm a good drifter or I set my expectations pretty low I dunno, but I've submitted my score anyway :P

I'll send my week 2 score in about an hour. Giving it one last go before I call it good...well probably not good but as good as ole Harvey Wallbanger here gets.:lol:

Week 2 full lap drift at SSR5 score emailed to gt4viper.

Do I also need to send it to Airrider?

XDesperado67
Ok sent to Airrider as well.

Going to be interesting to see if the FR bunch have a big advantage over us 4wd types in this weeks challenge.

Yeah I'll be interested to see how is 4WD types fair against the FRs. To be fair, my Impreza wasn't too bad at drifting. It had a nice amount of power to keep the tyres lit up and it was easy to throw sideways. A quick flick of the handbrake on certain corners too to help it change direction.

I'm impressed with it :sly:

I don't think my drift score is going to be top of the board. Poor little GT86 couldn't hold slides around some of the corners. It only has 200bhp.

My car seemingly had too much power for the poor comfort hards. Shame this wasn't a donutting contest :P

Slirb ?????

Just wanted to get my post up before Airrider put up the next challenge. I will edit later as usual.

Back where I belong down the bottom

Not to bad for first EVER drift trial

especially in an evo!
It was the walls fault really...I just ran the inside front corner into a wall then goosed the throttle...:lol:

That and setting the height adjustable suspension up so its almost impossible to drive in a straight line...:embarrassed:

Seems like I did ok.
I was aiming for 36k , but putting it together would have required a bit more time and some luck than I had.

I hope nobody accidently ran the sector mode or at Clubman Stage Route 5 .

Given that you finished ~10k above anyone else, I don't think a few extra hundred points would make a great deal of difference >__>
