Bugatti thread.

Bugatti Chiron, anyone? W18 engine, although it was a prototype.
Also the ID90:

The Bugatti, being confirmed for GTMobile, is almost obviously going to be in GT5.

I thought its "Quad Turbo"?

Well i dont care for the Veyron, i think it looks like a Mercedes SLR had sex with a VW Phaeton and its their baby. But i would love to see a EB110 or the Type 57 Bugattis.

Yes I would love to see them too and...lol.

Brilliant! First we get Ferarri. Then we get Buggati and Lambourgini. Now all we need is Porshe and Grand Tursimo will be nearly complete. Now, what about Koenigseggseggs?

Fixxor'd it for you.

I hope they add all characteristics of the veyron like the bad handling and the 2.5 seconds to 60 and the right top speed. I don't want the bugatti to dominate all the others everywhere, it needs to have the flaws that would make the enzo beat it in the corners.

The voice of experience?

Gordon Murray - designer of the McLaren F1 - says the Veyron handles remarkably like an Elise, despite the weight, power and 4WD. I'd hardly call that "bad handling".

It's heavy, which makes it not too fast around the corners, as nimble as it is. The Zonda F roadsteer, Ascari A10, Gumpert Apollo and Caterham 7 are all faster than it around the TG test track, and they all have much less power, but are all 700kg+ lighter.

Not a bad argument I guess :P

Yeah cause the top gear test track is the only track in the world and the only way you can tell if a car is fast or slow around a track.

The Veyron is meant for a top speed thing, not really for corners as that was probably a second thing on the to-do-list when creating the car. But the Veyron can hold it's own for the weight it has to carry.

I'm just using it as an example. It's the only track that all have been tested on.

It lapped the top gear test track in a pretty good time, 1.18:3 It's ahead of the Enzo Ferrari, Maserati MC12 and Lamborghini Murciélago... yea, Bugatti handles terrible.

Theres nothing to worry about. While the noobs will be like "omg ill poonz online w/ veyron" the real online drivers will pick the more lighter, agile supercars and being a GT game, mods will bump up the HP of your car of choice to help against the veyron's straight line acceleration :sly:

says who?

Calm down tiger, besides, Top Gear track is rather about handling, and that indicates that the Veyron has maybe quite good handling for it's weight, but compared to other supercars not that great and certainly worse than an Enzo (of course I only suppose now, I can not know)

I am calm  just people are going against the AUP
You will not post any material that is knowingly false, misleading, or inaccurate.

If you've never driven a Veyron how can you calm it handles badly or terrible and going off what you see on tv and videos doesn't count.

It's capable of braking into and accelerating out of any corner faster than anything in the world (Autocar 0-100-0mph test). Its weight and 4WD keeps it stable during the corner, making it more predictable.

But since I haven't driven one, I shall refrain from making definitive statements about its handling...

faster than it around the TG test track

It was the opinion of many watching it that the Veyron's timed lap was under conditions where the driver had been told to tone it down. It already had a slight battle scar on it from an on-track incident we never saw and it went through the tyres - typically the fastest part of the track - at a pace which seemed unremarkable considering the sheer accelerative effort of which the car is capable.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to take the TG Power Lap time as representative.

How ever we look at it I would have a guess that the Veyron a good handling car, of course it will never match Wesfield or a Radical but I would say that it is quite compariable to other big GT cars and certainly not bad for a 1000bhp car.

As for the TGTT, well there is not a huge difference between a Veyron and some of the other Supercars in terms of acceleration. Cetainly the advantage a Veyron has accelerating would never make up for it being an ill handling car if that was infact the case.

PS

With comparing Laptimes on TGTT we must remember that the cars are not on control tyres and times are taken in vastly different conditions etc.

Do you ever get tired of being a Ferrari fan-boy?

If you actually stop and THINK before you talk, you might just stop yourself from saying such bloody silly things.

Yeah, it may be heavy but it's fast. 👍

Like the new Scirocco. It's explosive.
