Bugatti thread.

I'm not a Veyron fan at all - I am very impressed by the technical achievement of what that machine's capable of, but it's just not for me. Still, what car enthusiast wouldn't want to go 253 MPH from the comfort of their living room?

Just one question: will the Veyron cost as much in GT5 as it does in real life, or will its price be adjusted to match that of other supercars?

I'm no ferrari fanboy, I simply like ferraris. Does that make me a fanboy? My opinion is that the enzo would win in the corners. We will just have to wait and see if that's true.

The Enzo is likely quicker on a corner but the only comparable lap times between the two cars show that the Veyron is a quicker track car.

Same here. It was fun making a super Supra into a road rocket and setting blistering lap times around Froza 2's oval - for about a day. While this is excellent news in general, I'm doubtful I'll race much at all in the Veyron. Much rather see the aforementioned 111.

But what I'm going to be doing most of all is sitting behind the wheels of 240SXs, Supras, 355 Challenges and GT-Rs. And hopefully race modding a bunch of hatchbacks. That's what I'm talkin' 'bout.

I don't know what you are, but your attitude towards some cars and sports (namely NASCAR) is not something I'm enjoying to see around here.

I would laugh my 🤬 off if the Veyron won. Just how exactly are 1000hp useful in corners? Add 500kg to the car, and I must say I would be very surprised if the Veyron would win. The Enzo Ferrari did a 7:25 in Nürburgring, while the Veyron got 7:40. I think that speaks for itself. The Nürburgring is full of corners. There are a few long straights on the track, along with the final straight, but that isn't enough for the Veyron to win what it lost in the corners.

I would love to see what can the Veyron do with 500kg off it along with that extra power. Then we would be able to see whether it actually has some work done to it or if it just a power-hungry behemoth.

Anyways, on topic, I think it is a good thing the Veyron is in the game. Many people will enjoy it, no doubt about it. Let's just hope it will indeed be in GT5. Myself, I don't think I will drive it much, but it will be a must drive to me if I ever get GT5, and the car is included.

This is my essential Bugatti list, the few cars they have produced are amazing so its not like PD have to model loads of cars... :sly:

Robin.

It's heavy, which makes it not too fast around the corners, as nimble as it is. The Zonda F roadsteer, Ascari A10, Gumpert Apollo and Caterham 7 are all faster than it around the TG test track, and they all have much less power, but are all 700kg+ lighter.
MIND YOU ALL PJ IS 12 years old....

Though, He post's like a middle aged man.

not dissing middle aged men, just saying.... :sly:

Gran Turismo 5 will likely factor in Fuel consumption even in online races, making the Veyron almost unusable at 9.75 MPG US with a 26 gallon tank. So Veyronites, you have about 15 minutes to shine. :D

Then he would know that "heavy" does not necessary mean "bad handling". And thus, it's useless to compare it to other cars. Maybe if they weighted the same as the Veyron does, they wouldn't handle as well as they do right now. One of the reasons they handle so well is because they are light. Caterham 7, "too fast to race". What kind of a comparison is that? :ill:

Well, sorry, as good as everyone says I post, i'm not perfect, please pardon my imperfections.

oooh a veyron! I am sooo looking forward to driving that!. Afterwards be nice to get into something a bit more agile---like a Panzer!!. If they do put the overpriced, overpowered, overhyped VOLKSWAGON in I reeeally pray they put realistic damage in as well. Lets see, 200mph, concrete wall, yep, job done!!

Agreed with the not likeing but respecting the Veyron and ability of those that made it and the b******* lucky enough to own one.

As for the question I wouldn't care if it was relative to the ferrari's/other supercars or not as I will enjoy earning the dosh for one or maybe two.(Yes I'm going to tune every car possible on GT5 simply because I can.👍)

Now this on the other hand...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Bugatti_Type_41_(Royale)_Coupé_Napoleon.jpg is one Bugatti I would love to see in the game.

and peoples oppinions on these?

Can't wait to take the Bugatti Veyron out on the Nurburgring!!! Finally We will have a production super monster car!!!
By the way, do any of you realize that RUF is Porsche, just under a different company? Seriously, the cars look almost exactly the same except for a few variations.

Well said!!! To add to what you said, The Bugatti Veyron has a 3MPG rating at 253 Miles Per Hour. That car won't last too long and will probably have to pit in more often than any other car in the game. But anyways, its not like i am not gonna drive the hell out of that car WOOHOO!!! 253 MPH easily owning all group C cars Stock!!!

Keep them in, even just to make the dumb fanboys say "cool a bugatti, this game is cool" and instantly get sucked in.
