Its a riced up version of the Enzo, by Ferarri itself. It has a white stripe down the middle, different headlights, aero mods, and does 60 in under 3 seconds.

The view and shape of the first picture greatly reminds me of it.

You've got the overall 'feel' of the Zonda spot on though.
ahh cool. thanks:tup: I'll have a fourth one up here sometime.

say, I went to Indycar.com and found something called "design your own car" and I see these cars nicely done, however, I can't seem to due the same. here's my hauler and the corresponding cars. if anyone here knows what I'm talking about, can they give me some design tips?

The title says drawings aswell as car drawings, so here's my work in progress. So far spent 4 hours on it, using 2B and HB mechanical pencil with standard eraser and blending stump.
The image shown below is only a portion of the final piece which is the entire face drawn on A3 paper.

I really should get around to finishing it though, i started it in 2004

Well I just got hired to do 9 walls of a tuning shop's garage with some paintings of cars and a hint of graffiti. My proposal was a 996 GT3 RSR rendering. He loved it so much that he kept it and hired me to do the whole garage, instead of one wall as anticipated (I didn't scan it - dummy). My next preview to him will be this Lotus Elise sketch. The Porsche was far more crisp and clean, but the whole thing took 4 hours to complete. This one took just one, but it is a lot rougher.

I'll make a whole thread for the progress of the job when I get to see the wall in person, but for now you Photography and Graphics guys get a little preview.

Here's a rather sloppy cartoony sketch I did last night of a Porsche 997 GT3 Cup. It will be painted on a wall at a garage over the Christams break, along with a Corvette C6-R and Ford GT.

been a while, but I'm taking requests so post away whatever four-door Sedan you'd like for me to turn into a DTM car.

Awesome work man, just awesome. The first pic is a little sloppy but it flows nicely, the first of the new update is perfect, I love it. Same goes for the other two; very detailed.

What colour markers you use? I'd love to be able to use markers like that. 👍

And where is Alexwrc? I'm sure he'd have a pic or two to show many.
I'll have to get a few of mine up here one day...

Thanks for the comments. The front shot of the GT3 really got messy. It wasn't used for anything though. The others are gone.

I used a more detailed technique for the Mustang, that's why it stands out far more and looks less cartoony compared to the others. It works better that way, but it does take a lot longer.

I use normal cheapo Prismacolour markers that you can get at any common art store. They go dry pretty quick compared to others (like Letraset - 5$ each) but for the 2$ they cost apiece, I can settle for just buying more.

Unfinished but here's my WIP. 45% done. Need to reserve another 20 or so hours to finish. What do you thnk of the tail lights, there's obviouse influence but any opinion is fine.

Things to do/finish:

Front air dam
door handles
rear diffuser
rear wing option
full visible motor
original wheels currently using pre-made temps
full intrerior, seats dash gadges. inside door panels
mirrors
possible re-do of tail lights based on feedback

Uses same Inline 5 from my Vigma 5R

Fair enough, it still looks brilliant. Amazing how you used them to render the Porsche 911.

That is a really nice work in process.

Thanks.

For the Porsche's body I used a couple of different Warm Grey markers, mostly on the lighter side to get a creamier white. The Mustang was done with the Cool Grey set, gets a far more metiallic feel to it.

I'm working on my portfolio all day, if anything interresting takes form I'll post it.

edit - I'll just edit in a sketch I ran today. Nothing serious, just getting the creativity moving. It's sort of a spinoff of an older design I drew up a long time ago. I found a pile of original sketches in my room of that older design and was surprised at how it survived time (both in design terms and my drawing ability changing) so I revived the Renault coupe idea into this. The tail end is rather long, but whatever, this was just a quicky sketch. Enjoy:

I'm working on an Escort RS2000 at the moment, it's ok, but not fantastic, my old approach would have been trace the roof line, then add in the rest, sometimes i would also trace the wheels because mine usually look awful

First try at "Koolart" style, I know the lights are wrong, lol. No wheel pattern, because I knew I would mess it up, and would ruin the rest.

Why aren't some of you working for automotive mags? Most of you have some real talent....

Me on the otherhand, I have problems with my dimensions, I'll start out with a perfect front end, and then the back end will end up flat, creating a "bent" look. :yuck:

I did a pretty good Renault Hatchback today, dubbed 'Sage SV-R'. No, not after the SuperMod. Ill enter it in the comp if or when I get pictures.

Fancy sharing some of these techniques? Cause every time I use markers, they either completely obscure everything else or... just dont look good. Then again I should probably draw bigger... :indiff:
