All the more reason to drop Rhino and pick up 3DS:

done by Dangeruss.
He should be a HUGE inspiration to anyone wanting to learn CAD programs.
I've hyperlinked the image to his deviantart account.

It was done on 3DS with VRAY (whatever that is), and touched up on photoshop.

Cheers massradia1.

@tonypanda, loving the speedster Porsche pic, very artistic.

@zedextreme, love the 3rd pic/design, my favourite part/feature is the curvature that leads into the rear air intake (just before the rear wheel), nice design man.

@AOS, Dangeruss + his 3DS work... has blown my mind!, i think iv'e seen some of his work before (mainly the race bodykitted stuff), but iv'e never seen his 3DS stuff until now, i only hope i can get somewhere near to his level when i'm his age, truly inspirational work.. thanks for posting that AOS.

I'm finding things quite frustrating at the moment, as i want to spend some time drawing cars.. but instead (by orders of the boss) i'm sketching T-shirt designs.... Thanks BOSS!!! :(

I gotta take pics of my later ones... i'm in a drafting and design class so i'm learning a bit on stuff...

Learning how to draw in Isometric and Oblique uh...forms? But anyway, some of it is getting better but some is getting worse, i'm still trying to work on proportion :/

IMO Isometric drawing and cars don't mix well unless it's a exploded view or blueprint. It's simple geometric shapes that work best when communicating form in isometric.

That kinda makes sense, i can see how it's more for blueprints.

omg what are u talking about 0_0
=(

Isometric sketches are done along two 30 degree lines... kinda hard to explain, but if you were to draw the lines on which the front and side faces lie on, they'd equate to 120 degrees in between, or 30 degrees from either side? ugh i just realized how confusing i just made it... if i could draw an image it'd be much more understandable

Use pens, guy..Pens and markers.

Rollerball pens to be exact. If you use writing pens then you won't be able to any shading at all. And even if you do use pens, you still have to use pencil to draw the outline. Personally I avoid pens when drawing altogether because to get the best drawings possible, in my opinion I shouldn't have any fear of making a mistake. The fear of making a mistake is higher when you know you cannot correct it. If I do make a mistake, then at least I will be able to correct it if I used a pencil.

And in my opinion, being given the option to continuously fix mistakes won't help you draw confidently.

And there are methods to shading with non-ballpoint pens.

I agree with this. But it is a preference for me to use pencil for both the outline and the shading. Let's not turn this into an argument 👍 .

Here's one drawing I did yesterday. Has been a long time since my last car drawing :)

Good job! I like the way you draw the headlights, and they look like they are actually made of glass. In my drawings there looks like there is no glass in front of the lights.

Do you guys realize you quoted an image that was posted just one or two posts before yours? Kill the image tags like Vandenal has already. We don't need to see the same image 3 times. :odd:

Some 15-20 minute drawing.
Made up the style just now.
Laid out loosely with pencil, quickly scribbled on with Prismacolor Cool Grays (30, 50, 60, 80), and Copic Ciaos (Lipstick Red, and Black)

Click for full-size.

It takes you only 15 minutes to draw that, I envy you. Amazing drawing

I usually spend more time than just 15 minutes on most of my drawings but for the time that the drawing shown took I have to agree that it is quite an achievement.
