How is through hybriding...all over GTP now. You can swap chassis, drivetrains, motors, gearboxes etc. I can't, but others can. Same as any other car, just put it on share. Tradeable too. I don't even have it myself yet...I will soon though. I borrowed it as well.

So what would be the easiest way to get a fleet of these out to members of a group? I know how to trade but I've never done the borrow glitch or even read about how to do it. If I put one on "share" on the ORCA_Champ account could people grab it from there? Of course there's only a 6-10 or so of us racing anymore, would be easy to get them all traded around through the normal channels.

Not sure if I'd make these an official "car of the month" but it could be fun to bust them out at the end of the night or on a non-official night. I enjoy racing the karts but their gearboxes are so terrible that they're almost useless.

May I suggest to do train trade, A send to B, then B send to C, then C send to D :) I sent the kart that JP drive (125 with 59HP + 6 speed ) to Naptown/NC, he can share/send it to you Brandon :)

Building kart 100 stock with only 6 speed, 125 with 45HP and 6 speed, and another stock 125 with 6 speed, I can even add turbo or supercharger on it  Pick chrome colors - gold or silver or other nice colors too.

Trading would be the easiest route. With a little planning you can go 2, 4, 8, 16. Easily a whole field in a week.

This particular kart is great fun, but it's "expert" level for sure. I'd love to do this, but I'd suggest starting off at stock 125 with a gearbox for something a little more manageable, which is on the way by the way, thanks to Rido. Track selection will be important, and custom Eifel tracks and Tokyo Bay (ovals!!) are just awesome of they are done right.

Once I have it, I'll put it on borrow and you can drive it. It will blow your socks off!!

Forgot to let you know, that I can change the default tire to suit the power level and track, but it won't be changeable in game. I can fit Racing Hard on the kart so its easier to handle or comfort soft for even more fun with stock power karts.

Forgot about tuning sheet, yeah default tune is stored on sheet A, so you can always use default in game tire by switching to other sheets. Just be safe, copy over sheet A to B and use C for default tire.

Expert level is an understatement...

I jumped in this thing at Tsukuba and it was near impossible... The throttle, steering and braking are at a whole new level of sensitive, especially for me being a DS3 user, I was barely able to complete a lap. I had to completely change the way I drive to manage this thing.

I finally went to Suzuka East (very smooth, sweeping corners) and used the power limiter to achieve max detuning of the engine... I hit the track at 49hp/29ft-lbs/85kg/592pp and was able to turn laps in the 51 sec range, naturally topping out at 126-127mph at the end of the straight.

I can't wait to get my hands on the other 3 karts Orido has in the works!

If ever there was something that made me want to get a wheel and set of pedals, it's this thing!

EDIT: Kart was fitted with Sport Soft tires.

I've used the borrow "glitch" to gain a 2J so the same process should work well for a kart. Strictly speaking, it's not a glitch but a program you run against your game save file. I just made sure I had two copies of my game save file. And of course, once you have the kart, you should be able to gift it to someone else. Could speed up the whole process.

All of the karts are done, kart 100 and 125 stock with only 6 speed, kart 125 with 44HP and 6 speed, can also do the junior with 6 speed. What sort of tires would be best ? I can fit comfort soft or sports hard on stock 100 and 125, comfort medium on junior and racing hard on 44 HP 125 :)

Tires will be only one sheet A, sheet B and C will be with default in game. Copy A to B and leave C just to be safe.

I has 1.5 million HP Audi R8. LoL

It's a complete waste of time. Utterly stupid.

I'll send it out to anyone wanting it though.

^Probably due to my close vicinity to New Castle. :nervous:

In high school NC was THE place to go on Friday nights and "cruise" downtown with all the other high schoolers. I went once and thought "Really? This?".

I'd advise against any 'hybrid' for car of the month. We don't want to scramble for a new car when PD ends the party.

Yeah... I don't think too many people from NC actually did this back when I was in high school, mostly out-of-towners... Luckily it died out and no one does it anymore.

^ I have no idea what the infatuation was with it.

Anybody planning on coming out for some racing this evening?

Calm down, no need to all shout at once. :P I should be around tonight, if it's a really low showing then I still need to try out the poll cars.

I should be in attendance this evening, if I am still awake. Slept about 4 hours of the past 48. I may try something new.

.snip....

I can't imagine it on a DS3...lol. Try a few kgs of ballast on the front...might help. You have to do most of your braking in a straight line as well, as karts only have rear brakes in the game (4 wheel disks on the shifters in real life) Biggest problem is the bumps. They were bad enough on the old karts, it's multiplied with these. But the 100 and 125 should be much more manageable, but you'll still be best off at places like Suzuka, the two Nurbs, Tsukuba etc. And custom tracks of course.

Barring work, I should be around tonight.

He's shared the "spec" 100cc and 125cc shifters and they are awesome... So much better to drive than standard, and not a handful like the higher powered hybrid karts. The 44hp shifter is a little edgy, but still quite nice on smoother tracks.

I'll probably be around tonight as well.

^ Room open around 7:30pm EDT, "qualifying" starts at 8pm and racing will begin around 8:15. We'll probably get 3 or 4 races in so just show up whenever you can. 👍

The ORCA_Champ lounge is open, we'll begin racing a little after 8pm EDT. If you'd like to join us send a FR to ORCA_Champ on PSN.

Good racing last night guys, I think that was some of the best we've had with these cars. IMO, GVE always produces fantastic, close pack racing and I really enjoy it. Nice to see a good crowd, thanks fellas. 👍

After 12 laps the top 4 were within a half second of each other and an equally hot battle just behind them for fifth place. Good stuff!

EDIT: In case some didn't see it, I've created a poll to vote for next month's car selection. You can also find the link in the second post of this thread. Take each one out for a spin and cast your vote for your favorite. 👍 Interesting to see the Audi doing so well, I was surprised at how well it drove but I had a feeling it wouldn't get a single vote. When I throw out the fake votes the Roadster TC and Audi are tied right now.

The Audi feels a little too safe to me. RX7's have been a favorite since childhood and always a blast to drive, but the interior view on the Roadster is just too cool, and its a fun little firecracker as well. Vote cast.

GVE isn't my kind of track, but the car is great & so is the ORCA company on track. If I'm in the mood later, I might just drop by for a few races.

:)

Hope to see ya. A reminder to those across the pond, it will be an hour earlier for you this week and next week. 👍
