This is the cause of the blue bug and not the cure.I just spent and hour testing this idea and could not get rid of the bug once it appears.

You & I got very difference results, the bug did disappear when I changed track, & my lap times improved by 0.6 seconds too.

@ Brandon: The Mazda TC should be on Comfort Soft tyres imo, it has plenty of grip stock, & nice progressive slip too. On Sports Hard there is horrible snap oversteer, & the car has silly amounts of grip.

I'll check it out. 👍

I drove the Mazda TC at Laguna on CS and SH and it was terrible. Every high speed corner where there was no weight transfer to the front through braking the car pushed like a boat. But at Tsukuba and Deep Forest Reverse it was great. I agree, the Audi, S2000 and Beemer are also great choices:tup:👍

Mazda RX7/8 will also be good, Mazda Roadster will be good if a little on the slow side. Any Impreza will be good for a 4wd option.

This is the cause of the blue bug and not the cure.I just spent and hour testing this idea and could not get rid of the bug once it appears.Lounge/standard,lounge/very high, pub room/standard,pub room/very high makes and the results were the same each time.I opened the room as Laguna, exit the pits in the BRZ and watch the rear tires turn sky blue then darken as the car travels to the end of pitlane. The car brakes and the fronts lighten in color and both front and rear tires have retained heat.

Reset the room by selecting Laguna, click ok,and exit the pits. The rear tires change color slightly but before the car has crested the hill the tires are dark blue, just like they would appear if the car was parked in the pits. The fronts lighten for a second under braking at the end of pitlane then loose all of their temp.

Changing from Laguna to DFR and back to Laguna and the results were the same.Tire wear off/on and grip real/low made no difference either.

I just did a more through test, & you're absolutely right. The only way to get rid of the bug is to load the track with the room & not change it. I put down my previous erroneous results to warming up on the first go, & thus driving naturally faster on the second go when I reloaded the track.

My first lap without the bug was a 1'46.3XX, & my fastest was a 1'46.2XX. With the bug my fastest lap time was a 1'46.3XX, but it took ages for the tyres to warm up so the laps leading up to that were much slower.

^ Good to know. I'll be sure to preset the room to Laguna before opening and hopefully we'll have some better racing today. Lounge will be open in about 90 minutes.

I just left the room. Was only Nick and I left. Was a short day with a small field.

That said; if a few of you want to run some, I'd be more than happy to join you.

Well, I turned up an hour late due to not accounting for EST going to daylight saving, DOH! :dopey: I should make it on time for the next event. Had some very close & clean action with Marcus, that is until he drove off into the sunset. Hopefully we'll get a few more show up & race for longer next time.

Thanks guys. :)

Did a little swap to the cappuccino as well, but the Suzuki GSX-R engine in it, 252 Bhp and a nice sound track, the added bonus is the interior tachometer reads to 12k, so those who like their interior views have a fully functioning tac.

Found that in one of the hybrid threads. Don't even pretend you wouldn't be interested in driving that (assuming he's talking about the RM anyway)!!!!

When did the clock's change for you guys? I wasn't even aware of this!

Should I move the Saturday time slot back an hour for the rest of this month then so you guys can attend?

I've created a poll for everyone to vote on which car we race next month.

A 7pm start is fine for me, no need to change it.

RDArdvark, what about you? I know you're usually not available until 8pm Irish Time, we can move it back an hour for a couple weeks if it allows you to race.

In case some didn't see it, I've created a poll to vote for next month's car selection. You can also find the link in the second post of this thread. Take each one out for a spin and cast your vote for your favorite. 👍

A corvette wagon? Id imagine Bob Lutz is headed to GM now and gonna kick some body square in nut sack for such ignorance.

Owens, you're also a family man... You can't appreciate even the functionality (if this actually makes it more functional) of something like this?

As an aside, I saw a CTS-V wagon the other day and it rendered me completely useless for a good 5 seconds. All I could do is stare and listen. I think I'd look good in one of those, with my kid's Recaro car seat strapped into the back. :dopey:

Wagon and Corvette should never spoken in the same sentence.

Now take the LSX and apply it to something sedan like made wagon. I'm good with.

But GM's flag ship sports car molested into a wagon is pure blasphemy.

If they make it. Call it the Corvette Neutered Edition.

My suggestion for Car of the Month for May:

Just in case you don't think it's realistic, here's the real thing...

JP - How? Can you share it?

Brandon - No need to change the time. It's just I wasn't aware of it and I should be good for a few weeks. I have some brownie points to cash in!

How is through hybriding...all over GTP now. You can swap chassis, drivetrains, motors, gearboxes etc. I can't, but others can. Same as any other car, just put it on share. Tradeable too. I don't even have it myself yet...I will soon though. I borrowed it as well. Rido is also throwing together a stock 100 and 125 shifter and a 45 hp shifter to match real life 125cc specs. This one is closer to the real life 250's in performance. It's not an easy drive even though the immense pilot skills in the video make it look easy...lol..and only works on smoother tracks.
