Driving the RX Vision last night was not a fun experience. If you weren't precise enough with your throttle control or steered a little too hard at the wrong time, you'd begin to slide almost immediately. Never mind the brakes which didn't always work in the way I expected. Sometimes I'd pull up too soon and sometimes I'd pull up too late. I was happy to leave it behind.

The biggest issue I ran into with the Mazda RX Vision, wasn’t its inherent handling issues and causes (those were apparent right off the bat)…but how to drive around them
I think that front fender scrape should come stock on this car from the dealership
I was very pleasantly surprised when I stepped into the cockpit and discovered that this vehicle was a 6 speed H-pattern instead of the paddle shifted modern supercar I was expecting. Right from the start, it was apparent with what was the Achilles heel of this car…

Nope. Not gonna happen.
Try braking at a reasonable distance - while taking into account its PP rating and relative speed? Nope. That’s not going to happen either. What you’re left with is an imaginary supercar that has a GT3-stiff chassis - with none of the aerodynamics and grippy tires that will aid in getting the power to the ground, or slowing its mass.
Or getting it around a corner at a good clip without the tires melting
Myself and my friends at YouTube.Com corner are still trying to figure out what these “camera sin screen” side mirrors still do…
The best way I found to drive this car, was to short shift it like a Demio, make all downshifts earlier than you expected - in a straight line - while maintaining a gear higher than you would think.

Damn. Coulda sworn it was an H pattern. I’ll have to go back in the headset and check. I know that in stock form, I was missing gears and getting false neutrals if my timing wasn’t great

I stand corrected fine sir. Upon further inspection, the animation does show that of a sequential, but the transmission action is that of an H-pattern. And it does have 3 pedals…but so do all the other Super GT and 2010ish GT3 cars that utilized a clutch pedal to start and stop irl

Ah! The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE Package '18 a great car and some great racing memories with this car. I think what amazed me with this car is that we were racing at Blue Moon Bay Tri-Oval and it was on the final lap and heading into the final turn. I managed to pull along side another member pull off a pass on the outside. Somehow I kept it there and crossed the line in first place.

The Mazda RX-Vision, Mazda’s concept of a future rotary sports car. Unlike the RX-8’s RENESIS engine, notorious for questionable reliability and poor fuel economy that could be summed up as ‘Burn more, that’s what I was born for’, the RX-Vision’s SKYACTIV-R is touted by Mazda to be more efficient and reliable while also cutting back on emissions.
In game though, the RX-Vision is a difficult beast to wrangle. Its rear is highly prone to stepping out in corners when flooring the throttle (like the final kink of Deep Forest) and this is complicated by the 6-speed SKYACTIV-MT gearbox, which is geared a little too short for my liking. Wheelspin is a constant issue when accelerating in 2nd gear and the SKYACTIV-R gets uncomfortably close to redline while in 6th gear down Conrod Straight. While short-shifting helps to arrest the wheelspin and loose rear end, the RX-Vision’s Brembos aren’t great at stopping power, and the resultant long braking distances are a lot harder for me to adapt to.
While the RX-Vision’s handling is much better than its fellow cover car the Porsche VGT (not like that’s a very high bar to clear), the RX-Vision remains a challenging car to drive. It certainly isn’t a car that beginners can get in and just go, it demand attention and care from its driver like an old-school sports car.

I have a lot to say about this week's SPC, but first - my only successful run:
I don't have much to say about the Camaro - Northern Isle is an extremely compact track where the difference between the fastest and slowest speeds achieved on a flying lap is about 21 MPH. It's in an environment where the car is being supported by steep banking, so trying to assess the impact of the downforce and the car's natural handling are both moot points. About the only thing I can infer is that the Camaro isn't as stiffly sprung as it'd seem to be - it frequently hits end of travel/bump stops on the banked turns and that causes the steering to spaz out.
Now about the SPC:
I genuinely do not comprehend what the intention was behind setting this SPC on Northern Isle. I would have set this to Daytona Oval or Road with the same distance (90 miles) to achieve the same NASCAR effect without the endless frustration.
This challenge is pretty skewed against even skilled players due to pure RNG and AI induced stupidity.
A couple of examples of issues I'd spotted over 5-6 hours of trying the challenge:

- The AI are not able to control the Camaro correctly. I frequently see them spinning out due to bottoming out. I also see them losing the rear over the slight crest out of 3-4. They like to draw out the recovery, so it leads to the out of control car flying across several lanes of traffic.
- The AI are very contact-happy. Count how many pit stops are made in the first 30 laps. Now imagine you're stuck in the pack.
- The AI do not know how to resafe joinly after a pit stop. Their immediate reaction/primary programming is to dive for the racing line, which means they drive straight across all four lanes at 40-50 kmh below the flow of traffic. It's not uncommon to see an AI car get stuck in an endless loop of exiting pits, immediately wrecking, then entering pits to repair the fresh damage.
- The rubberbanding (even on Boost: Weak) causes the AI to become incredibly suicidal when they're trying to unlap you. There is absolutely no logical way to race side by side with them. The only safe approach is to pull over and let them roar by on the inside line. Even then, it won't be guaranteed. Many of my runs were stopped on the spot by an AI botching the pass and killing me anyways, even though I am giving more than enough margin to let them go by.
- The AI are immune to penalties, so the only driver that will be forced to serve wall contact penalties is the player...
- The AI do not have any sense of corner rights and will forcibly shove themselves up the inside line where possible - makes it impossible for me to take my specific line of starting high and dropping low to maximize speed.

Best Looking Car
There are a list of choices, but this one's, on the whole, easy. It's the Lamborghini Miura P400 Bertone Prototype from Week 63. I know I didn't get a choice on nominating this, but seeing you all just die in general behind the wheel of it makes up for more than all of my dismay with how that went. And of course: it's a classic. THE classic.
You can nominate a Ferrari, the 917 Kurzheck or even the E-Type, but don't expect a different answer here.
Worst Looking Car
This one's also easy. Following last year's nomination of this, nothing is more perfect than the Toyota Aqua S from Week 74.
The Most American Car Award
We're on a roll with these easy choices, and nothing speaks America like an overcompensating off-roader that started the trend of giant domestic 'my ego is also a big genitalia' truck like the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor from one half of Week 50. That 60s muscle car hole still exists by the way, and I do aim to fill that in.
Beater of the Year
We had bad, but nothing stinks as what's being offered from the Ferrari F8 Tributo from Week 43. Just too much of everything in general is what's running here, and that also includes too much salt and tears.
Car of the Year
So, I'm going to gather my Top Sleepers, and they are as follows:
Suzuki Jimny XC, for being hilarious good fun whether it's on or off the road, in addition to its affordable package.
Renault R5 Turbo, for surprising us on how well it drives like no other, despite getting close to its last breath... RULES OF NATURE.
and the Alfa Romeo 4C Gr.3, for being a car that cannot fail to impress me and keep me smiling, beating every other Group 3 nominee this year in terms of everything it offers.
I'm going with the Alfa Romeo 4C Gr.3 from Week 64, mainly because it has a metric of balance to measure from, is the prettiest of the choices, and it's capable enough in Group 3 that it's not a crutch for the brand's exceptional Group 4 offerings.
Not to mention: it's an Alfa Romeo! They exist purely to be pretty, and this one's more than just pretty.. even though I specially requested to get it on, it was worth it.

That being said, the purpose of my pick is not to focus on the big flashy bewinged special with the VEE-AID MOWDURR, but to cast a light on the most neglected form of racing in this game.
Turnleftlol.
Think about it - when was the last time you've seen a proper oval daily race? The last one I can remember was the Corvette C8 at Daytona, an eight-lap romp that was more of a wreckfest than Wreckfewst and a case study of why the automatic car reset needs to be disabled. The last time trial off my tip was the Chaparral 2X, also at Daytona, and there it was clear that PD's ideas of track limits do not coincide with reality. "NEVER cross the double-yellow lines," quoth Daytona 101. "But muh gold time," quoth everyone else.
So, two and a half miles, thirty-one degree turns, eighteen-degree tri-oval. Foot to the floor and turn left, right? Wrong. The trick to these full-throttle speedways is to make the turn-in as wide as possible so you can enter the turns with as much speed as possible and to have steering lock applied once the physical turn starts. Daytona has a noteworthy bump on the top lane entering turn 1 and exiting 2, which can unsettle a loose car. 3 starts more suddenly than you think, and the exit of 4 tightens on you, so don't let off the wheel until you feel the car become fully settled. That is, if you're driving a settled car, because the only thing looser than the Camaro is a B/S driver in Race C. There's too little downforce over the rear axle, making each turn a precarious balancing feat between hitting 200mph laps and painting black graffiti over the apron. It's the same story as with the Corvette, only with more power. Note that I didn't say any of this is a bad thing, though - the precision and detail that goes into driving and racing at this place goes beyond normal road courses. Three curves? Every last millimetre counts. Flat-out? They don't call the crashes Big Ones for nothing. Just like drag racing, it's the process of stripping elements out of an activity that can highlight just how important the remaining ones are in the grand scheme of things. (unless it's Power Slap)
As-rated, and it's a good rating.
I need to get something out of the way right now - this is one of the best original tracks in the game. Lambda-VMOsidewaysMsidewaysMdS Northern Isle is as pure as it gets - no massive locations, no heavy braking zones to stick it up the inside in. It is 9/16 miles of four-piece tarmac inside an American coliseum. There is nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, and nowhere to apologize. You hit the wall, you hit the wall. You hit the apron, you make a donkey's flank out of yourself, and then you hit the wall. You might think that turns 1 and 2 offer you a nice slingshot onto the backstretch, and you'd be right. But heaven forbid you assume the same about 3 and 4, because the way the final turn is banked less than the others is what gives the arena its character. It will catch you out on the first time, and every subsequent trip will make you realize just how much your tyres are being tortured. It is the most wear-unfriendly circuit in the entire game by a long shot, so races here depend on whether you want to maintain pace or minimize the amount of stops that you do. Not that it matters, because you WILL crash here. The AI does so as early as lap 2 and every time they change lanes with the same level of awareness as a Nissan Rouge driver. But as you sit there in your 3800-pound muscle car, which is a perfect fit for this track, getting banged and beaten and patched up more times than you'd care to admit, remember that you could have been driving a rented GR Supra at Spa for the 2187196097841896th time.

You know Pocono? This is no Pocono. Sure, they share general look of a three-turn triangle, but the philosophies are much, much different. Let's focus on what we have available. Turn 1 approaches, and I raise my hand to question if Blue Moon Bay really is an oval. You have to downshift - twice - and use the full brake to tackle the east corner, a short bowl that you drop into and climb out of. A low line, straddling between the bottom and second lane, is what works best for the Camaro, because you need all the speed you can get down the highly-banked straights. Speaking of, they are one of the most annoying features in the track roster. They make the act of driving in a straight line a chore as your car is constantly pushed away from the SAFER barriers. I'm not sure why, because I'd rather hit those on as narrow an angle as possible. Turn 2 is more straightforward - a deep, flat-out banking that allows for multi-lane action, but will spit out anyone daring to take the top lane. The stretch before 3 holds some online significance, as it was a popular venue for quarter-mile lobbies in GTS before Special Stage Route X returned. On a full lap, it becomes your miniscule breathing room to prepare for the long and flat turn 3. I still cannot find an ideal line through here, but the general idea is to treat this as a road course turn by slowing in for the first half and hitting a late apex before exiting right next to the wall. Could this track work as a daily race? Maybe, maybe even as a Nations Cup location for the X2019, but the track was made for Group 3 machinery tuned to the now-discarded oval BOP. Maybe if someone were to slip something in Kaz's drink...
Beater? Sleeper? I hardly ever knew 'er.
Hello, Route X here, coming to steal all your drag lobbies. This oval has hit the GT playerbase like crack hit the 70's and we never recovered since. What more can I honestly add here? Everyone already knows about the elusive infield layout, the hacked 3000BHP Civics and 100,000BHP Red Bulls of yore. It's the only other track you can raw-start a lobby with and have it populated within minutes. It is filled with an airport, radio telescopes, wind turbines, reservoirs, and dockyards, with employees watching by as the S13 with the turbo LS touches 320mph again and again. It's that pursuit of a big number, the process to make your car as fast as it can possibly go - rolling a good wind, adjusting gear ratios and ride height, setting the suspension up for the gargantuan turns - that gave Route X its staying power. And no, using the downhill to gain extra speed is cheating unless you're still accelerating after the fact.
Essential. It could do with rain, though.
Okay, it's getting late and I have two more ovals to go. So, the snowval. Pictured here is the reverse version because this week was all about turning left. And it does, but I need at least 20 Jägermeisters before I can be convinced that this track is an oval. The front stretch bounces its way uphill into the alcove of the tight turn 1, where traction is at a premium but you'd rather keep your money. Turn 2 is deceptively difficult. You kick out the rear end both for the purposes of a cool picture and to swing the Camaro around as fast as possible. There's no special oval techniques you can apply here - this is a snow road course made to look like one. After that, it's downhill into the banked turn three lined with the most pointless bollards in the history of mankind. Why are they there, trying desperately to stave me away from the ideal driving line? All they do is make players curse at the screen for invalidating their laps in the few time trials they reared their ugly heads in. Still, it's a pretty... no, I'm not going to.
As-rated.
...what is this place? Is this even an oval? Why is turn 1 so square compared to the rest? Why does every turn have a decent banking but the dogleg is off-camber? Where do you exit the pitlane? Why is there a modelled mini-oval in the interior that I can't drive on? For what purpose would the Japan in the GT world build such a track? To confuse NASCAR fans? They went extinct in March 2018. Their Slapshoes's final video was on this track. Super GT doesn't race here either. Is this man the mastermind behind all this? He's not even a 3D model, but a sprite with no back, just like the SS in Doom II. Is he one of them?
So in conclusion... ovals. Good. More please.

You have to downshift - twice - and use the full brake to tackle the east corner, a short bowl that you drop into and climb out of. A low line, straddling between the bottom and second lane, is what works best for the Camaro, because you need all the speed you can get down the highly-banked straights. Speaking of, they are one of the most annoying features in the track roster. They make the act of driving in a straight line a chore as your car is constantly pushed away from the SAFER barriers. I'm not sure why, because I'd rather hit those on as narrow an angle as possible. Turn 2 is more straightforward - a deep, flat-out banking that allows for multi-lane action, but will spit out anyone daring to take the top lane. The stretch before 3 holds some online significance, as it was a popular venue for quarter-mile lobbies in GTS before Special Stage Route X returned. On a full lap, it becomes your miniscule breathing room to prepare for the long and flat turn 3. I still cannot find an ideal line through here, but the general idea is to treat this as a road course turn by slowing in for the first half and hitting a late apex before exiting right next to the wall. Could this track work as a daily race? Maybe, maybe even as a Nations Cup location for the X2019, but the track was made for Group 3 machinery tuned to the now-discarded oval BOP. Maybe if someone were to slip something in Kaz's drink...
Beater? Sleeper? I hardly ever knew 'er.
Hello, Route X here, coming to steal all your drag lobbies. This oval has hit the GT playerbase like crack hit the 70's and we never recovered since. What more can I honestly add here? Everyone already knows about the elusive infield layout, the hacked 3000BHP Civics and 100,000BHP Red Bulls of yore. It's the only other track you can raw-start a lobby with and have it populated within minutes. It is filled with an airport, radio telescopes, wind turbines, reservoirs, and dockyards, with employees watching by as the S13 with the turbo LS touches 320mph again and again. It's that pursuit of a big number, the process to make your car as fast as it can possibly go - rolling a good wind, adjusting gear ratios and ride height, setting the suspension up for the gargantuan turns - that gave Route X its staying power. And no, using the downhill to gain extra speed is cheating unless you're still accelerating after the fact.
Essential. It could do with rain, though.
Okay, it's getting late and I have two more ovals to go. So, the snowval. Pictured here is the reverse version because this week was all about turning left. And it does, but I need at least 20 Jägermeisters before I can be convinced that this track is an oval. The front stretch bounces its way uphill into the alcove of the tight turn 1, where traction is at a premium but you'd rather keep your money. Turn 2 is deceptively difficult. You kick out the rear end both for the purposes of a cool picture and to swing the Camaro around as fast as possible. There's no special oval techniques you can apply here - this is a snow road course made to look like one. After that, it's downhill into the banked turn three lined with the most pointless bollards in the history of mankind. Why are they there, trying desperately to stave me away from the ideal driving line? All they do is make players curse at the screen for invalidating their laps in the few time trials they reared their ugly heads in. Still, it's a pretty... no, I'm not going to.

...what is this place? Is this even an oval? Why is turn 1 so square compared to the rest? Why does every turn have a decent banking but the dogleg is off-camber? Where do you exit the pitlane? Why is there a modelled mini-oval in the interior that I can't drive on? For what purpose would the Japan in the GT world build such a track? To confuse NASCAR fans? They went extinct in March 2018. Their Slapshoes's final video was on this track. Super GT doesn't race here either. Is this man the mastermind behind all this? He's not even a 3D model, but a sprite with no back, just like the SS in Doom II. Is he one of them?
So in conclusion... ovals. Good. More please.

I have to say, the Camaro ZL1 1LE is a really good car with great handling that really makes it predictable. It feels a lot more balanced than the RX Vision, with the grip coming at just the right moment - given that you don't jump on the throttle too soon. I got caught out a few times but I can't blame the car for that. Nor can I blame @K31thc0m for my skill issue at The Chase. I guess I pussied out... Anyway, I think that the Camaro ZL1 1LE is a sleeper, performing in a way that not many similarly-sized cars can.

Quick Review
Have you ever notice someone and you knew right off the bat they were not to be messed with. This can be easily said about the 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE Package. The 650 HP 650 ft-lb American muscle car is a track weapon for the street.
American cars have really never been my taste. I love all automobiles don’t get me wrong, but if you told me to hit a mountain pass, an America muscle car wouldn’t be my first choice. Getting in the Chevy Camaro ZL 1LE can change one’s thinking very quickly. In the past 10 years or so, I would say American cars have stepped it up from styling functionality and performance. The Camaro is a full testament of this, it can terrorize the streets and track, but at the same time take your grandmother to the store to get her favorite cakes. Yes.. the 640 hp monster can take your grandmother to get her favorite cakes with the switch of a button, you can switch the exhaust into quiet mode and it takes all of the bark and some of the bite out of the Camaro. Let’s be realistic though we’re not driving the Camaro to take grandma on cruises. This is absolutely for street supremacy!
The exterior styling from the gate gives this aggressive I am not to be played with look! The front part of the Camaro looks mean and non-approachable however it is all functional. The front splitter, side canards,19 inch forged wheels, and rear carbon fiber spoiler comes with the 1LE package. This is basically the track package. The front end of the Camaro generator downforce from the front splitter, helps direct air flow with the canards, and the front bumper with its wide open space helps with the cooling. This is a recipe for a track weapon and to take it further Chevy combined the Camaro with 19 inch forged wheels, which are surprisingly light. The rear is fitted with a carbon fiber wing to help with downforce to keep your rear stable. Driving the Camaro you can easily understand why it turns heads on the road.
Interior wise first thing you notice is the small window of visibility you have as a driver. While it’s not too much of a problem for me, I can see other people being affected by the small driving view. I do like the fact that AlCantera is wrapped around the steering wheel, dashboard, door panels, and seats giving the Camaro the supercar feel. Another important factor concerning a driver in their vehicle is the information you can get from it systems. Tire pressure, tire temperature, oil pressure, oil temperature, are just a few to name what the Camaro gives the driver on the center display.(Full hud display) With just a touch of a button You can get the full diagnose of your Camaro which is perfect for track driving. This indeed will help you go faster and also keep your car from blowing up. This is by far one of the better interiors from Chevy that I have gotten into.
Driving wise the Camaro is a lot for the streets thankfully Chevy have separate driving modes to help tame this beast. This car can scare even your seasoned driver, if not fully focus while behind the wheel. To fully get the capability of this car you would have to take this to the track. For example, the tires cannot even get up to temperatures while street driving.(Sport Hards/street events Sport Mediums/track events)To get the full capability of the tires, you would have to get enough heat in them, which can only be obtain on the track. The aero doesn’t get activated until you’re close to the triple digits on a speedometer. With four different driver modes, you can fine tune the Camaro for the driving application, on the streets I use sports mode(ASM Off) (CSA weak) (TC 2) which still gives the driver the ability to fill the edginess of the Camaro, but at the same time have the safety nannies keeping the car and you in one piece. There’s also touring, track,and snow mode. The speed this car can get to are insane and you have to be careful. I couldn’t see an immature person driving this car for the fact that it is too easy to get to illegal speeds. The exhaust note is addictive, and persuade the driver to constantly push the accelerator, it’s one of the best sounding cars I’ve driven. I know its motor is shared with the Corvette but combined with the Camaro, the sound gives the car more sinister aura. I truly wish I could’ve took this car on the track, but I’m thankful for Chevy for giving us an opportunity to drive this car. Here is a small video of me driving the Camaro around town.

The Toyota S-FR was a lightweight, two seat open top sports car shown by Toyota at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2015, even appearing in a special version of GT6 at said event! Slated to be an entry level sports car, it looked to be the second step after the 86 in Toyota's radical transformation of its brand image to "No more boring cars". It would've been interesting to see if the corporate muscle of Toyota could've brought the fight to the one car dominant in this niche market of lightweight, open top, FR sports cars, but as we now know, the S-FR sadly never went into production. We GT7 players will at least get to sample another tantalising "what–if" here in GT7, though!

As of late, I've been feeling extremely discouraged from writing. A big part of it is due to how often GT7 physics and PP seems to change so often without warning, meaning that none of my testing and writing have much of a shelf life to them. As someone who writes as a hobby, I'd like my creative works to remain and stay relevant for as long as possible, but I guess PD don't see things the same way as I do.
The Alpine A220 Race Car '68 however, is a standout car in GT7's roster, simply for its evergreen relevance in a game constantly undergoing panic hot fixes and changes, and it achieves that thriving longevity despite not being a categorised racecar in the rather e–sports centric title. Early in the game's life, it was a hot favourite for grinding the WTC600 Tokyo money making race, because it was an extremely lightweight and fuel efficient car that was decently powerful, meaning that not only was it capable of nearly 300km/h in clean air, but it could also slot in very easily under 600PP with minimal modifications. The reason why that previous sentence is written in past tense isn't because the A220 doesn't serve that role anymore; it's because it got better at it. After all the tomfoolery with physics and PP updates, the A220 is one of the excruciatingly few cars that have their PP dropped instead of raised, going from some 601.75PP to 578.79PP. It's performance relative to the other cars in GT7 didn't change; the way it was rated against other cars in GT7 changed, meaning that, given the same 600PP cap, the A220 can actually be upgraded instead of having to be nerfed!
Money–making antics against the brain dead AI is one thing, but how is the A220 to drive? After all, said Tokyo race is at a half–wet city track with high average speeds and almost no runoff, and antique race cars have a bit of an image for being utterly unhinged and unsafe at any speed. The A220 displays a bewitching blend of responsive agility and stability, even by modern standards. It simply doesn't feel like a 56–year old car at all in that regard, but that's almost just a feint, a false sense of security to lull a modern driver into trusting it, because the rest of the car is proper horror. Its peaky engine and low drag means that it can hit some frankly harrowing speeds considering the age of this car and how little downforce it generates. Lift at speed does become a bit of an issue; despite the settings sheet showing that this car makes some minuscule downforce, the steering wheel does lighten up slightly at speed, and drivers will not only have to brake deceptively early from high speeds, but also pitch the car into high speed kinks earlier and earlier the faster the car goes. The race–tuned NA engine, like most in its era, is rather peaky, with a disconcerting torque spike near the top end, though this thankfully does happen very near the rev limit, so the car is most likely straightened out completely by the time that torque spike happens, meaning it's a quirk that's mostly unnoticable until the car is driven in the wet. And, while the dash is mostly lit, the tachometer of all things isn't, so if you're a PSVR2 user or simply drive in cockpit view without HUD for immersion, you'll really have to get well accustomed to the sound of a peaky 3L V8 picking up revs quicker and quicker as it nears its 8,300rpm limit.
All of that however, pales in comparison to the biggest (un)sticking point of the A220: the tyres. They are Comfort Soft by default in GT7, and for the speeds the Alpine can hit and feels otherwise capable of, the stingy grip on offer lets down the entire experience massively. I also find it incredibly difficult to get a read on bias ply tyres in GT games, making the driving experience a bit of a crapshoot. As a racecar from the 60s, the A220 of course doesn't come with ABS, and it very much wants to be treated as such in trail braking zones, and appreciates the game's retrofit ABS being on Weak rather than Default. The last point of caution is to just be smooth when driving the A220; chassis rigidity is always going to be an issue the older the cars are, and as such the A220 doesn't like sudden, snappy movements. It's a fast car, but it definitely demands a very skilled driver to keep it going fast.
Despite having its PP rating massively lowered in relation to other cars, the A220 is still rather hopeless in a sprint scenario against cars close to its current PP rating. In our Saturday lobby "featuring" the A220, cars like the F40, XJ220, Taycan, and much more effortlessly destroyed the A220, despite all the aforementioned cars downgrading their rubber to match compounds with the Alpine. For that reason, it's only real niche is in endurance races with high fuel usage. It's less a sprinter and more a marathon runner that can run a marathon at a pace almost matching the sprint pace of much younger athletes, and that I think is massively impressive.
The Alpine A220's constant relevance in new environments is a testament that, if something is made well, it will stand the test of time and be appreciated even by people younger than it, sometimes just as a window to see into the past, and sometimes, just as it is for what it is. It's a heartening reminder that it's worth putting in heart and effort into something that just might be be remembered for years to come.

The A220's mirror case is chrome, so it actually acts as a mirror from the front of the car, too. Interesting to see what lurks behind the Scapes scenes, and shocking that PD actually thought that far "ahead" and have shot photos behind the visible Scapes scenes, too!

This post I'm about to make isn't me begging to come back into the group, but rather an admission of my own stupidity and horrendous lack of accountability. I don't exactly give myself a good name by whinging about the umpire's call, (or rather the judge, jury and executioner) and coming up with totally bogus claims in an attempt to win sympathy does not help me. I should've known not to push my case but I did anyway because I'm an ignorant little bitch who lets his frustrations get the better of him. After everything I've said, I feel like such a fool by acting like a dumbass child and not stopping to think about my comments. It's just a Saturday night lobby Scott, don't act as if your life depends on it. You should've let Keith go through so that you could fight another day instead of pushing your luck. I really don't want this bad moment to ruin things for me in the online space because I'm not a toxic person. I just get a bit heated when I'm in my competitive mindset. Even so, I still respect the decision made to remove me from the PSN chat. I'll let all of you carry on whilst I ponder my poor choice.

SPD Writes Gran Turismo 7's Car Of The Week: Week 86 - Mazda RX-VISION

It's many times it comes about of certain questions in life. Particularly for this week: what would we do without rotary powered engines?
Truthfully, we did a lot, but there hasn't been quite a spark like something so unique, yet so niche.
I guess we better get this out of the way: the RX-8, while a fine well respected car on its own, didn't meet expectations of carrying the true and tested legacy of Mazda's in-house beating heart. But the failure of holding up a bloodline didn't kill the engine. It was how the future was going to come crashing down for the setbacks the rotary had to face. The engine burned hot with a capital H, reliability wasn't up to spec, and it drank up car juice so much so that checking it periodically can make you wonder if it walked out into the desert for days. But it didn't stop the people from loving it. And more importantly, Mazda themselves weren't going to leave this innovation of theirs in the grave.
The end of the RX-8 was like a momentuous occasion for then Mazda design chief Ikuo Maeda. He can't let the future of this planet hamper those that he wanted with the company, and what he saw with Mazda for the 30 long years he's had designing the cars under this brand. Thanks to the momentum made by the newly released ND, as well as Mazda evolving their KODO design mindset with said cars and many more in their lineup past 2010, an idea hatched, and that idea soon materialized a concept car presented in the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. Named the Rotary Sports Concept, the RX-VISION embodied an idea Mazda explains that they hopefully one day make into reality. It's a front engined rear wheel drive 2 door sports car inspired by the FD RX-7, with a conceptualized Skyactiv-R 4 rotor inspired by the Le Mans winning 787B. Other little details come to mind as well, meant to homage a lot of Mazda's past design glories.
Alongside capturing their KODO mindset that inspired the car's design and flow, the car had more than just a vision: it had a light to show. Maeda-san would then presume to the likes that the rotary engine is something Mazda can only produce, and if they forget that, it will die, thus so will the soul of Mazda themselves, and also the spirit carried by their engineers. Moreover, to Maeda-san, who lived his life with an FD designed by his father before him, he thought to put more than just soul. A quote that's frequently said about the car is "I truly put passion and soul into the design to make it feel like a living thing.". It's unfortunately still a concept, but it don't take me a second for me to consider if I would [insert word of your imagination here] with this car, I would.
While it remained in its current 517 horsepower, 1.3 ton trim for however long it existed, its beating heart of passion still persisted thanks to two other Mazda concepts. One being the 2 rotor SP Concept unveiled late last year. The other comes as the RX-VISION GT3 CONCEPT that's screamed its way into Gran Turismo since its late entry into the Sport era. I'm afraid for that car, a mere mention on this car would be the only thing you're getting as a writeup, alongside probably Maeda-san's aspirations to see the car run at Sarthe. Still better than the whole load of fictional Grouped racers.

Jake Ross: "I think the collective we've gathered here can cover just about every base we need to bolster. Might I address you firsthand, your majesty?"
As he takes a stand, he began to speak as soon as his subtly bouncy hairdo starts to remain still..
Lysander V: "Majesty is simply much too grandeur a title. A simple milord will do, but you can just call me Sander, no faff."
Learning more of this out of place noble, this discreet outlaw then continued..
Jake Ross: "Sander is it? This noble one is quite well known in the classic car scenes in Goodwood. And more importantly.. he knows how to feel what any automobile needs like it's in his own nature. Say your piece, then."
Lysander V: "Oh, absolutely! I for one am quite interested in the philosophy of KODO. Mayhaps I rub off a hint of magic that I can learn from a few tests of that raceworthy hot hatch. And that museum piece too, of course."
Jake Ross: "Your contributions be accepted, milord."
As he heads back to his seat, the lecture carries on..
Jake Ross: "To know yourself as a driver is just as important as to know your car. Power.. limits.. and how exactly to make it work. But I hope you don't mind backup. My little Asian flower?"
It was her cue, and she rose to the occasion.
Candy: "You called, dark one?"
Jake Ross: "Oh yes. You own the fastest MINI I've ever set my eyes on. Supercar slaying in a compact space, powering the front wheels.. Some of that FWD speciality might come in handy."
Candy: "Say no more.. I'm getting paid a chunk of credits out of this, right?"
Said banter however was shot down quite quickly..
Ayumi: "Eh?! Rubbish!"
Jake Ross: "That ain't important yet. You done?"
Candy: "I know. I jest. Anything for a friend. And.. I guess I'm done too!"
And this next person in Jacob's mind is a man whose importance he cannot describe as high as he can think it..
Jake Ross: "Hmmhmm... Keith, you're up. What's your expertise? Why would he have call you? Go and sell your poison, baby brother."
Keith: "Aww yeah. Used to run Autopolis since my career in Super GT, and I haven't lost a step. Yumi-san, you might want to come swing by me if you want some tips to knock down sector times."
Ayumi: "I almost forgot about that, to be honest. Not to mention your Corvette running circles around.."
Now time to take the lead, she thought, Ayumi then wondered as she stood..
Ayumi: "And how about everyone else?"
Jake Ross: "We're pretty much moral support, ain't that so?"
Rin: "[imitating Keith] Aww yeah!"
Hideki: "We have your back anyways! Let's make this whole teamwork thing work now, Yumi-san. Go on.."
She's also having trouble collecting her words like her idol did beforehand, until a moment later..
Ayumi: "I.. emm.. I might not make it out as intended, but I.. I.. APPRECIATE THIS EFFORT! I'll do my best!"
Rin: "Teehee.. ganbatte, Yumi-san!"
As everyone began to move about to their roles, the dark one moved to the little lady..
Jake Ross: "Short and sweet. Nothing like a rookie stepping up to grow, but.. she's lucky."
Candy: "Lucky?"
Jake Ross: "Yeah. Imagine if she.. don't got us around?"
That question finds itself questioned with Candy's quick rebuttal..
Candy: "I.. you know.. I can. Hello, my backstory is literally lone wolf?"
And a reply is what she got quickly after..
Jake Ross: "Would you say you're lucky being this high up the food chain before meeting the likes of us?"
Candy: "I.. can't be too sure about luck. I mean.. would you see how small I am?"
Jacob then remembered a piece of the past he's went through..
Jake Ross: "Y'know Paul's gimmick was luck?"
Candy: "And?"
Jake Ross: "It's bul[BLEEP]. We can't say he's lucky. He knows his stuff.. feller just wasn't confident or even outgoing bout it. You know Graham kept telling me.. whatever lucky or not, with the draw you get, all you gotta do is play the cards right. You can see where his mistake was, that Paul."
Candy: "That's sound advice. Wild with an e sure is smarter than he seems. Why haven't I seen him in such a long time?"
Jake Ross: "I bet.. since his nasty crash at my debut, he's got his eye sights on Group 4. What say you.. get included?"
Candy: "There's a tempting thought. Let's see if I can get that draw."
Although without much else to follow with, this last fact had him ask..
Jake Ross: "One more thing.. you said you want some.. pay? I can see through you: you want some compensation."
Candy: "Guiltyy~"
With a face cross enough to smash boulders, he quickly spoke out against this behavior..
Jake Ross: "You taking my beloved's one liners is going to bite back, I can guarantee."
Candy: "Ohh, big sis.. after earlier, I'll take that chance. So, about payment.."
Jake Ross: "Here."
She then receives an electronic car key on her hands, and after a quick look then spoke..
Candy: "Mazda.. don't tell me.. this is the.."
Jake Ross: "Yup. You got eyes. It don't take an enormous intellect to tell it says RX-VISION. Might be the last time you get in one. I suggest you go get a few laps in. Have Ayumi tail you, push her a bit."
Candy: "Alright.. Deal."
A deadline reached, the rotary race pundit wiped her sweaty forehead clear, as she walks to her young husband waiting by..
Ayumi: "It's done.."
He's expecting the best result, but her face speaks miles on how that's not what happened..
Ayumi: "Deki-san.."
Hideki: "Y-yumi-san! Umm.. I.. I can see that.. I'm sorry."
Ayumi: "JYAAN!"
A quick trick later, and that energetic smile she's known well for in Kyoto then came to be, and to her beloved: it's obvious as he reaffirms..
Hideki: "Wait! Yumi-san! Does it mean.. you did it?"
Ayumi: "Yes! Of course!! But since it really pushed my stamina to the edge, I'll be missing the rest of the season to work on it, and then they want me back in action as soon as they can!"
He's been tricked, but his smile hints that he would gladly take this final result rather than that false face be the reality.
Hideki: "Oh my! This indeed calls for.."
However, she knows him much too well for her to suddenly leap on to him..
Ayumi: "BANZAI!"
Hideki: "W-waaaahh!"
As they crash to the floor, she brings the man back up at lightning pace, and she speaks with a similar pace in her excitement..
Ayumi: "Now a run with the RX-VISION!! Okay, Deki-san.. I know it's coming.. enough with the surprises."
Hideki: "Surprise? Like I would think that would even.. well, h-here.."
The celebrating pair then found the red menace just waiting, but not just by itself.
Ayumi: "Nya nya nya.."
Hideki: "Stop clawing me! Over here.."
As he leads while being under attack, they then see another waiting pair in the Ross brothers..
While the lesser brother then greets with a smile..
Keith: "There you two are! Well, You ain't keeping up with the likes of him yet, but.."
This conversation isn't complete with a clash drenched with brotherly sentiment..
Jake Ross: "She's still racing next season. I'll see personally what they'll do to her."
Keith: "Bro, I was getting to it.."
Jake Ross: "I know. I know how you think, baby brother. I always do."
Keith: "Yeah? I refuse to be treated as one dimensional, you know?"
The dark hero then walked on towards the one car out of place and announced..
Jake Ross: "So, the superfan got a taste of a good result for the first, and you still found favor.. not just mine, but about everyone else in Mazda Spirit."
Ayumi: "I have the spirit.. for Team Spirit after all!"
Jake Ross: "Right.. now I must uphold my promise. You ready?"
And with that done, he then opens the RX-VISION's driver side door..
Ayumi: "A-a... excuse me.. A-a.."
She melts down quickly seeing the red filled interior of Mazda's concept sports monster.
Keith: "All honesty, I forgot she's quite the character."
Jake Ross: "You doubt that?"
Hideki: "It's why I love her. Something you seem to not have found yet."
And upon mention of that fact to the one man out of place, Jacob thought of a perfect follow up to that stinger..
Jake Ross: "Whoa, Deki-san packing some heat on you, baby brother!"
Keith: "Whatever, brah. At least Sonny's not here to mess it up."
Jake Ross: "By the way.. don't tell them I told you that.. the RX-VISION's going on Brand Central sometime soon."
Finding a surprise like that, he hasn't words to say, but..
Hideki: "Ohh? Quick opinion, Yumi-san?"
As if she unmelted herself, she kicks back up from the asphalt, and formed an opinion.
Ayumi: "Ohhh is right. Much as I was already ready to toss my credits, I bet it's not going to be cheap."
Jake Ross: "Nothing inside feels cheap, so you know.. but I'll let you figure out the rest."
He makes gentle pushes to the Rotary Queen into a prospective carriage of hers, of which she then refuses to stop filling herself with hopes and wonders..
Ayumi: "Oooohh.. red.. and shiny.. this is like a dream come true."
Keith: "Bet that ain't the first she mentions that."
Jake Ross: "After the blue haired stint with a 787B in Tsukuba, that makes.. well, not like I do keep count."
And the shy artist moves to the other side and enters too, revealing to the brothers..
Hideki: "Oh, we're having a nice little celebration race, so.. let's get comfortable?"
Ayumi: "Come on then, Deki-san. Be my co-driver."
Hideki: "Alright! I'm by your side!"
As they start messing with the car's insides, the brothers leave them be, walking past their cars.
The little brother of this pair then asked..
Keith: "You know what, Jake?"
Jake Ross: "What?"
Keith: "This whole mood. Your whole character today. I mean, your soul! It's refreshing."
Jake Ross: "What nonsense is this?"
Keith: "Oh, you know.. your old self. The you that I experience playing with on The Great Split, up until being Paul's sidekick. A less aggression fuelled you, bro! No raised choking. No threatening. No violence. No machete. No chemical nonsense.."
And a coup de grace came to his mind soon after, which he then chose not to waste..
Keith: "And especially no harm! It's like Jake's Greatest Hits if you were an 80's hit band, bro!"

Feeling lost once again with his current and past selves in the game, he then has words to say.
Jake Ross: "Those who gather round ain't due my ire. Nothing else."
While the older brother knows all about the younger one in this case, to say it's vice versa is not quite accurate, but a possibility is rising.
The silver tongued devil then observed, happily expressing..
Keith: "Hmph, well, don't see any of my bul[BLEEP] scanners ringing from that. By the way.. ever feel you're being.. watched?"
Jake Ross: "Jess is that kind of person, don't you remember?!"
They both walked on further as they watch the RX-VISION leave the pit lane, but behind a pile of tires lies a little lady doing a little snooping about..
Candy: "There it is. That seldom seen heroic side in him.. there has to be some trick on getting that out."
Only love is with us now. Something warm and pure. Find the peace within ourselves; no need for a cure.
It's many times it comes about of certain questions in life. Particularly for this week: what would we do without rotary powered engines?
Truthfully, we did a lot, but there hasn't been quite a spark like something so unique, yet so niche.
I guess we better get this out of the way: the RX-8, while a fine well respected car on its own, didn't meet expectations of carrying the true and tested legacy of Mazda's in-house beating heart. But the failure of holding up a bloodline didn't kill the engine. It was how the future was going to come crashing down for the setbacks the rotary had to face. The engine burned hot with a capital H, reliability wasn't up to spec, and it drank up car juice so much so that checking it periodically can make you wonder if it walked out into the desert for days. But it didn't stop the people from loving it. And more importantly, Mazda themselves weren't going to leave this innovation of theirs in the grave.
The end of the RX-8 was like a momentuous occasion for then Mazda design chief Ikuo Maeda. He can't let the future of this planet hamper those that he wanted with the company, and what he saw with Mazda for the 30 long years he's had designing the cars under this brand. Thanks to the momentum made by the newly released ND, as well as Mazda evolving their KODO design mindset with said cars and many more in their lineup past 2010, an idea hatched, and that idea soon materialized a concept car presented in the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. Named the Rotary Sports Concept, the RX-VISION embodied an idea Mazda explains that they hopefully one day make into reality. It's a front engined rear wheel drive 2 door sports car inspired by the FD RX-7, with a conceptualized Skyactiv-R 4 rotor inspired by the Le Mans winning 787B. Other little details come to mind as well, meant to homage a lot of Mazda's past design glories.
Alongside capturing their KODO mindset that inspired the car's design and flow, the car had more than just a vision: it had a light to show. Maeda-san would then presume to the likes that the rotary engine is something Mazda can only produce, and if they forget that, it will die, thus so will the soul of Mazda themselves, and also the spirit carried by their engineers. Moreover, to Maeda-san, who lived his life with an FD designed by his father before him, he thought to put more than just soul. A quote that's frequently said about the car is "I truly put passion and soul into the design to make it feel like a living thing.". It's unfortunately still a concept, but it don't take me a second for me to consider if I would [insert word of your imagination here] with this car, I would.
While it remained in its current 517 horsepower, 1.3 ton trim for however long it existed, its beating heart of passion still persisted thanks to two other Mazda concepts. One being the 2 rotor SP Concept unveiled late last year. The other comes as the RX-VISION GT3 CONCEPT that's screamed its way into Gran Turismo since its late entry into the Sport era. I'm afraid for that car, a mere mention on this car would be the only thing you're getting as a writeup, alongside probably Maeda-san's aspirations to see the car run at Sarthe. Still better than the whole load of fictional Grouped racers.

Dawn barely breaks to a half filled track packed with intensity as cars blaze through the morning dew this far southern side of Japan.
One such car is a red MAZDA3, serving currently as the Rotary Queen's current car on her way towards Group 4 superstardom.
However, there's no hiding the fact things aren't going so smoothly..
A minor collective of other Group 4 racers come to terms they are the standard she needs to follow.
And that's not all..
A Kent born noble brings over his Signature Car for a whacking good time as he takes little effort putting the red Mazda in its place.
And once again: that's not all..
A silver tongued Blue Devil intrudes the peace, perhaps even moreso from inside the race tuned hatchback.
Having overtaken and gone through sector 2 without hassle from 2 less track worthy cars is signal enough there's trouble afoot..

Ayumi: "I don't know how they do it, but.. but.. how am I supposed to cut off 3 seconds?! Deki-san!! I NEED a miracle!!"
Hideki: "Ai.. Yumi-san.. I.. don't mean to bear the bad news if you don't reach the quota.."
Ayumi: "Deki-san, don't remind me of that cruel fate. It's cruel, I tell you.. CRUEL!!"
She shrieks, worryingly.
Hands thrown back, the artsy youngster captures a thought, as he declares soon as he rearranges his spectacles..
Hideki: "Oh my.. this is much worse than.. than.. it's probably worse than any trouble we've faced thus far! I hope my trump card can help with all this.."
His confidence soon turns to naught as he sees his target beginning to sob..
Hideki: "Yumi-san.. dear.. don't cry. I know it's all nice to see we getting a chance at attaining our passion, but.. I.. I truly am at a loss for words.."
And now just as lost, he takes what's left of his courage, and resolves to get back on track, suggesting with a whimper..
Hideki: "I.. I.. please! This is the worst time for me to struggle, and.. and.."
Ayumi: "Deki-san, I don't care if you can't muster up a rallying cry: it's good to see you're trying like you always have been for me."
She spoke, while wiping away her sorrows.
Her partner, now built better than a few seconds ago, now spoke up..
Hideki: "Let's keep our spirits up, Yumi-san.. I mean.. I've prepared some backup for when things go really wrong."
He however wasn't ready for the swift carress that doubles as a light tackle, suddenly shrieking..
Hideki: "-eep!"
Ayumi: "I'm no romantic, Deki-san.. but your heart's always been in the right place for me.. I suppose I need some time in the office before I head out and prove myself."
And as she readies to walk back to her car, the young man had one word left from her to ramble on to himself as he scratches his hair..
Hideki: "O-office? I, uhh.. I don't think we do have something of that sort around here.."
Hideki: "Now where could they be.."
Walking to the back of the pit lane, the artsy youth found his trump card..
..by his definition anyways, as he too feels unsure about their presence here being in some form helpful.
As he walks closer, he overhears a young American hotshot expressing his charm to a racing noble..
Keith: "Don't mind me asking, milord, but.. why'd you keep a cane about? I mean.. you don't look old, frail or anything.."
Lysander V: "Ohh, there are a bevy of reasons that such a stick would come in handy, I'm sure you'd think. But this is my late father's stick, so it indeed is quite special to me."
The little racer nearby then follows with some comic book knowledge in mind..
Candy: "All this style.. it reminds me of that comic book character.. Daredevil? The blind lawyer. The horned devil from Hell's Kitchen?"
Keith: "Ohh snap. It does.. your Grace, you're not blind, are ya??"
Lysander V: "Heavens no! My eyes are perfectly fine, if you do wish to know, sir. And.. mayhaps I can explain the cane's functionality in more depth soon. But tis not a weapon!"
He spoke with his eyes half closed; the catalyst for Keith to mention..
Keith: "You know how freaking cool it'd be if that's all a cover story.."
Lysander V: "Oh perish the thought."
He may approached silently, but Keith has instincts enough to greet..
Keith: "What's cooking, Deki-san?"
Hideki: "N-nothing. I mean.. we're cooking, but nothing's come up that's getting her to better senses."
Understanding her good friend and business partner, Candy then queries..
Candy: "You know, I don't believe Yumi-san would take seriously a role in the international leagues so suddenly. On the track.. I feel.. she's so green. Compared to you, I mean."
There's a compliment, he thought, but he instantly led her back to the main focus, insisting..
Hideki: "Still I owe my whole prospective career on the circuit to her.. and a big chunk of my everyday happiness. I must make things right for her as she has for me."
The little racer however, using her past as a base, has other thoughts..
Candy: "Right, but I truly suggest we have her stay local. You seen my friend Lulu stressing her hair out?"
Hideki: "Huh.. I agree too, but.. that won't do her any good with her current goals."
Interfering, Keith then exclaims in a mild hint of shock.
Keith: "My ears deceive me? CURRENT goals? She put international touring cars on her immediate bucket list over flourishing niche tuning garage?"
Hideki: "Yes. I don't know what comes into her mind.. H-how else was I going to answer that??"
His Lordship then set out an opinion..
Lysander V: "Truthfully. Well.. I say It's not quite so simple, but not quite so far fetched as well, Dame Candy."
Candy: "She seems to have a grasp to the reality on procession."
Lysander V: "I say.."
His resolve in mind, the young man then explains..
Hideki: "I'm pulling all kinds of strings behind her back for today to bring a result that lets us all win, Kei-san."
Keith: "I hear you, and that's like the bajillionth time you mentioned it, Deki-san. Matter of fact.. I got my own string behind my back to show later. You'll like this one.."
More surprises now in the equation, he replies confused..
Hideki: "Coming from you.. it's.. well.. wait.."
..but figures considering who he talks to..
Hideki: "That might as well work."
Keith: "Have me figured, don't you? Ahh.. But considering your body language, my dude.. it's still a stretch. Just ask these two superstars."
And the smaller of the superstars proceeds to assure..
Candy: "Intriguing, eh? I'll take any advantage if I was Yumi-san."
Lysander V: "Indubitably."
Still unsure about what's coming, he then spoke..
Hideki: "If not Shinigami-san.. then.. I hope what comes.. comes! Because she's praying for a miracle."
Keith, with a quick nudge to the only lady around, jovially questions..
Keith: "You know who I'm referring to, right, Miss Lam?"
Candy: "Obviously. Saw him today with something out of a museum exhibition."

And the smaller of the superstars proceeds to assure..
Candy: "Intriguing, eh? I'll take any advantage if I was Yumi-san."
Lysander V: "Indubitably."
Still unsure about what's coming, he then spoke..
Hideki: "If not Shinigami-san.. then.. I hope what comes.. comes! Because she's praying for a miracle."
Keith, with a quick nudge to the only lady around, jovially questions..
Keith: "You know who I'm referring to, right, Miss Lam?"
Candy: "Obviously. Saw him today with something out of a museum exhibition."
And that last word once again comes to his focus, as he questions..

As the sun comes higher up, so does the hope of a red Mazda racecar has to reach its goal..

And just ahead comes even more bad news to the driver's psyche..
Ayumi: "That white MAZDA3's just running circles around! It's like there's a bona fide champion driving it! Uuuuuuhhhh..."
Just as the day goes from bad to worse, something else comes by..

Looking at an approaching concept sports car, the energetic racer gets electrified..
Ayumi: "That's.. what? But.. it's soo alien, but yet so.. familiar. It's the RX-VISION?! YES IT ISS! B-b-but..."
Despite an overtake, her intrigue of the car distracts her feeling of sorrow, mumbling to herself....
Ayumi: "Why would it pace down.. does it.. want me to push??"
Now willing to follow, a chase ensues..
As laps fly, the rotary specialist finds a middle ground between comfort and performance, as she dreams further..
Ayumi: "Whoa.. it's taking me for a ride.. how I would kill to ride such a machine.."
Now on another edge of the circuit, the white Mazda's driver then spoke to her radio..
Candy: "Calling big sis, over."
And over by the command post..
Rin: "I hear you, number 86! Guguheehee.. you think Yumi-san took our hint real nice?"
Candy: "I've some doubt on how shady this whole operation reeks.. what about you, dark one?"
And now to the portable radio placed in the RX-VISION..
Jake Ross: "Candy.. I promise there ain't any hint of shady. But up close like this?? Humm.. ever tell you the time I choked the lights outta her, my little Asian flower?"
Rin: "Jake, you know how I dislike how your first meet with Yumi-san went!"
Jake Ross: "Afraid that be the truth, missy."
Obviously on the horizon, she had to ask..
Candy: "I wonder what kind of game you had to play to have a run in that RX-VISION?"
Jake Ross: "Oh, it's a bit of me, and a bit of Jess's."
Hearing her big sis's name gave her question..
Candy: "Whu?"
..and revealing that to her little sis gave her.. I guess it's fury?
Rin: "Jake, we promised not to spill that!"
Jake Ross: "Ahh.. we did? I apologize I guess."
Rin: "Don't make me take a page out of Zumi-san's book and.. book you!"
Jake Ross: "Poppycock. You know she don't got the gall to be able to do that."
Holding back laughter of this dishonest husband wife dynamic, she only could not, mumbling..

And the agent of chaos knew that they're plotting against her, as she began to raise her voice..
Rin: "WHYY! YOU TWO!! How dare you doubt my.. uprising of my.. assertive nature! Yeah!"
Jake Ross: "You know one time when Keith finished her favorite brand of cookies, her tender soft instincts ensured she couldn't even move him.."

Opinions refuse to change, but a laugh now obvious from her little sis would also mean her intent too refuses to change, as she declares loudly..

For something that doesn't functionally exist, there sure is a lot of soul and passion for it to end up being theorized into existence in here. But having no basis to work with has its flaws. I mean, I could give it a rocket powered booster or something. Yes, I should really clarify further the issues the car has for me.
But what's good? Unless you're blind or something like that, you can't argue that this is easily an amazingly good looking car. It's like if the style of the ND Roadster was formed atop something sleek, but also beefy. Something like a Dodge Viper. The car however isn't quite so balanced like the evenly distributed Viper. This you'll notice more when you drive it, which is odd: it stands at a modest 48:52. But anything in terms of handling that you can surely make out is anything but modest. Anything else? Umm.. you can't say a rotary revved this high is bad.
Let's go to what's the most glaring thing you notice with the car: its presence in a few special events you see on Sport Mode. In those, the custom road cars come with quite a chunk of downforce, but in return would get well.. decorated. This car's the exception, and a quick peek at the numbers is what'll give you that idea: it comes with 200 and 300 on the front and rear downforce values respectively. This is all quite bizarre. These are levels you get in Group 4 cars, and one car I can think with this is the Veneno (post edit peek says it's 250 and 350 for said Veneno), which has holes, fins and a rear wing on a wedge shape. There's none of that on the road going, streamlined Viper-like RX-VISION, breaking that immersion. Now comes the problem when you come in GT Auto: you can't change any of this with a rear wing, or removal of this all. I'll detail this further on why this is a detriment later on, but a good chunk of you might've got a clue what I'm on about on this.
Speaking of GT Auto, the car comes with the lack of option to do anything, which also includes no license plate. This is something I should've mentioned with the Diablo (but grr grr Nirvana grr grr): this is a detail I approve (because yes I made a plate for the hateful hag all those years ago). The RX-VISION unfortunately is going to stick with the road going car without a plate like the masses of Vision GT cars. And it's not one of those, despite the name.
But now you might notice with the body of its trait intending to run the tires real wide. It's not about chonkiness or wide Putin memes, but this is something you get with a lot of sporty coupes like the Porsche 911. It's meant to keep the drive stable, and ensure grip is more manageable on RWD cars especially, like what we're seeing her of course. But.. of course there's a 'but'. But then, the car exhibits from a strong and sharp sense of power oversteer, especially noted at both low (obviously) and high (not so obviously) end RPM. Something doesn't feel right. Usually with a car like this, I should be able to twitch react it back to form, but it's a whole more strict in here.
I'd suggest you short shift, but then: there's a problem, explained by two amigos. Amigo uno rambles on about the low RPM that climbs and proceeds to give poor acceleration to cover that low RPM oversteer.. which is familiar? Hmm. Onwards to amigo dos: the car's turning. It's got that nice aerodynamics values, but generally the car takes turns with a natural sense of understeer that comes from that wide shape it adopts. It also means that said aero values just wasn't going to cut it unless you promote the tire compound. Sports Hards indeed is too soft, just like what we got last week. However, take some time and discipline, and you'll find the car does turn like a Group 4 car. That's a good thing, but it's more of a tightrope balancing act. And I remember the brakes: they're.. okay.. causes a little bit of weight shift to the front, so you might want to brake straight and true here. Like another car I reviewed weeks back..
Well, alright: it can't turn for a car with downforce values akin to the BAC Mono. So how about speed? Well, surprise big not: it sucks there too! It's all thanks to the downforce values, by the way, and boy can I be more obvious about that or what? While the acceleration isn't bad at all, in here that's not quite the case. The lack of aspiration means you're going to be chugging along on later gears rather poorly. I'd say something to the likes of no aspiration doing that, but that's not quite the case with all supercars in this range. I know they're all wondering, past SPD, so I took the chance to rip it up on Route X, and on there, the car tops out at 197 MPH. Now, unless you're something light or fancy like the BAC Mono or the BVLGARI Vision GT, you'd say this isn't quick, and you're right. But then again, it does have aero, so it's fine. But then again again, that aero is doing one hell of a botch job, so it's not fine!
And now the moment everyone has been waiting for.. it's just me? Fine. Well, I'm sure to hint as much detail that all I've said gives the idea that this all is comparable to the Carrera GT, only that it's the literal dollar shop variant to the premium invite only Porsche LM F1 supercar. Aside the lap times, that dangerous piece of Porsche is arguably the better car in offer, sans the undesirable Invite feature it's locked behind, as well as the double asking price. The RX-VISION, while quicker, is also not drastically quicker, with lap times divided by under a second as observed on Spa, and with similar pace on more speed oriented tracks. Not to mention similar, sub half a second difference in times from me on Yamagiwa. This is a 10 PP difference, which usually carries a more substantial divide in terms of pace.
And now to add salt to the wound: I present to you a comparison with Forza Motorsports 6's flagship: the Ford GT '17. While being my next nominee (hint hint how dare you hint hint), it's now gotten the "I'm you but better" now for the second time after the Maserati MC20. And something else: it shares this sentiment with the Forza Horizon 2 flagship: the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4, and both these cars are only 5 PP ahead, while also miles better in every metric, especially in price, and might I say GT3 racecar conversion?

Now more into intrigue that such a rotary powered sports car came to be in Autopolis, the self proclaimed queen of these powerplants started a short search with her goal in sight not long after..
And nearby was what looks to be Candy Lam, already awaiting..
Ayumi: "What a shocker.. I knew it had to be someone like my good friend slash cheapskate Le Glace Pacer trying to amp up the experience."
With a not quite discreet approach, the little lady then began to greet..
Candy: "Umm.. ohaiyou?"
Ayumi: "Ohaiyou.. so.. this is what Deki-san meant by having a surprise of sorts, ehh?"
Candy: "Hehe.. yes! I mean.. it's fascinating, really. The experimental rotary car. You don't get these kind of things in the States."
Ayumi: "States?"
Candy: "Yes! I mean.. I'm still right, Yumi-san."
She talked back in a more confused tone, but Ayumi chose not to heed, as she wonders..
Ayumi: "So, why today? Not just any ordinary day.. and.. and.."
Candy: "I'm no genius, but I know enough you want a ride in it, I bet?"
With such a reveal she can give her this, she surrendered, but with the volume upped significantly..
Ayumi: "OF COURSE!!"
Unable to hold back, she faced an issue with Candy, noting a rather alien scent off her body..
Ayumi: "Though.. Candy-san.. my.. what strange fragrance you have?"
Candy: "The better I must mask my scent from yourself, of course.."
And she further noticed that this Candy had a taller physique, leading too..
Ayumi: "And.. ooh! I see you must've gotten yourself a leg extension! I mean.. what long legs you have?"
Candy: "Ulp.. the better I.. I.. must chase my lit-big sis when she decides to screw with me once more!"
Ayumi: "Oh, Candy-san.. you're getting more and more silly with your money choice. And how about this? I never seen this pendant before.."
An instant filch of the Jacob-Rin pendant however ruined this so-called Candy's composure, as she shouts..
Candy?: "HEY! Give that back.. Umm.. How dare you? YES! HOW DARE YOU!!"
And as Ayumi holds her back with one hand, the other has said pendant in display, as she describes her analysis..
Ayumi: "Uhmm.. you have a picture of Rin-san and Jake-san.. when you mean you really hated your family, Candy-san.. I didn't think it was that bad."
She however then turned back to return this jewelry, but..
Ayumi: "Ehh?"
Another woman arrived, in the form of the agent of chaos Rin, but.. sized down?
Rin?: "Big sis!"
Candy?: "Candy-san, you're ruining the moment!"
Ayumi: "EHHH?!"
(names are for real now, no more confusion)
[clears throat]
As the real little racer rids of her false headgear, she then explains..
Candy: "Drat. The jig is up, Rin-san. Wigs off.."
Still in a mix of the emotional spectrum, the energetic tuner then queries in confusion..
Ayumi: "Wait wait WAIT! So.. which one of you is Candy-san?"
The unofficial sisters then looks at Ayumi, concerned..
Rin: "Did she just.."
Candy: "I have no comment, Rin-san. Your impression of me isn't spot on, by the way. When you say 'how dare you', you have to put a lot of emphasis in the rage.."
Rin: "What, I thought it was perfect! I tried my hardest; I really did!"
The snooty side of Candy however decided instead to spill the beans..
Candy: "He's right: you're real sof-"
What came however was a slap that's definitely not soft.
Candy: "BWEHH!"
Rin: "How's that for soft?!"
Not giving her time to gloat, she gladly shows she has height enough to return the favor..
Rin: "ITEHH!"
Candy: "Gurr... Rin-san. This is a 1,000 yen makeup you just ruined!"
Rin: "Nnnn... I'm a cop! I can do anything legally!!"
Candy: "Yeah? Two can play THAT game!"
These sisters would scuffle, and everyone around started to watch the carnage unfurl.
While no major damage would be seen, they eventually held each other, stopping their arms from being useful in the violent moment.
Furious and ekeing out her tears, the phoenix spoke with pain all around..
Rin: "Urghh.. for someone so short and cute, you sure know how scuffle.."
Candy: "HRRRR!! Who are you calling short and cute?!"
The one other woman in close proximity however didn't find this all entertaining, as she panics..
Ayumi: "QUIET!!"
And then puts a mix of that panic with rage, holding a tool..
Ayumi: "Until I know who's who.. nobody moves, nobody gets hurt."
The sisters stopped to look, as the little racer then noted said tool..
Candy: "UAAA-ANGLE GRINDER?!"
Rin: "Yumi-san.. please, take it easy.."
Those words were enough to show her proficiency of said tool..
Rin: "EYAAAHH!!"
Candy: "WAHHH!"
Ayumi: "You better let me do the talking, or.. or.."
But she remembers.. today is a big day for her, and she can't take any more stress to show a violent side, weeping further as she slumps down and drops the tool.
Rin: "Is she.. crying?"
Candy: "Deki-san explained.. this whole situation with her career is stressing her out, Rin-san. He.. wants this day to be perfect."
Rin: "Ooohh.."
The sisters then nodded at each other: a sign of agreement, as they now focus on what might be a potential third sister..
Rin: "Well, I'm sure if you can't go past our masterful disguises.."
Candy: "Uh-huh.."
A nudge followed with a warning..
Rin: "I said MASTERFUL disguises.. umm, you can figure out we're here to support you, Yumi-san. See.. well.. it's me! Your buddy! Nishimura Rin!"
Now with a confirmation, the name of Rin would have her think of the one other person associated with her..
Ayumi: "Does it mean.. that.."
And like a shadow, he strikes..
Jake Ross: "Hell has frozen over? Perhaps."
Entering with her artistic spouse alongside him, the dark one once again greets without a hello about.
She wipes away any sign of weakness, and instantly tries to get her spirits up again..
Ayumi: "Jake-san.. you're here to see me?"
Jake Ross: "Congratulations. You got me, no bul[BLEEP]t. And you want me.. looking down at'cha, doing your best not dawdling about like a fish outta water."
Hideki: "I didn't even schedule for him to be around, Yumi-san. But that Kei-san schemed away.. rather uncharacteristically.."
A tip of the hat later, he then explains..
Jake Ross: "Well, baby brother told us of some secret mission. I figure.. what the heck? Never been down to this part of Japan before."
Hideki: "But aren't you both far away from home with little reason?"
Rin: "Visiting my little sis's new cafe isn't little reason."
The disposable hero then spoke further..
Jake Ross: "I should mention my hand in team Mazda Spirit's pocket today's going to be quite useful."
Hideki: "I'm going to ask, just so you know."
Candy: "Me too.. I mean.. it's yesterday I found, but the reason behind it.. it's a mystery to me too."
As the odd couple come together, big sis Rin then began to tale..
Rin: "Well, remember that day in Race of Champions?"
Candy: "Which one?"
Jake Ross: "The day your little spine told me you don't got love for press conferences. Thing is.. to some degree I'm quite famous in Japan. Exhibit A."
He gestures to the other not-as-odd couple..
Hideki: "F-fan club, right?"
Ayumi: "YES, Deki-san. Fan club. Six hundred strong, with around two hundred driving Fords."
The shining light then followed..
Rin: "Plus that time he's been reaching out after rumors circulate of his moment defining role as The Guts.. if not Ford, Mazda would've signed him for Group 3."
Jake Ross: "T'was a dark day in Mazda when they found out I had to say no. I pity them fools."
Rin: "Not as dark as say.. when he found out I started my stint in Group 3 behind his back."
Jake Ross: "You can ask Keith for the little details on how I.. exploded that time."
The Hong Kongese racer however wondered what happened when he meant that..
Candy: "An explosion without the need of Manh or whatever experiment you had concocting there? Color me curious."
Trying to get back on track, the dark one then had a riddle..

He stepped forwards once, enough to shake the ground about, and then declared..
Jake Ross: "You're looking at him."
At an instant, she then held strongly by his leg, to which he replies, embarassed..
Jake Ross: "Goodness.."
Ayumi: "REALLY?! HE'S IN GROUP 4 TOO?!"
Jake Ross: "Indeed. I can see she's eager to stay by my side."
Ayumi: "YES YES! Well, that and I can follow suit to your pace. Oooohhh, I didn't even know you're also doing Group 4.."
Jake Ross: "Y'know, Yumi.. you can look me up, this calculated biker fellow in the care of Suzuki, and Luce's big brother Williem racing for Audi."
It's not a plan he's devised, but for whatever Hideki schemes, this goes in line quite well with this usual Ayumi reaction about.
Ayumi: "How fascinating!! Williem, I mean.. That cool and charming character! Is he the one in the white Mazda 3?"

Back to him, Jacob then described..

And surprisingly, being a witness to all this chaos, it finally comes to the center of attention.
Ayumi: "The RX-VISION? THIS RX-VISION?!"
Hideki: "I'm just as shocked when I saw it scream too, Yumi-san!"
She's unable to stop gleeing and weaving as she describes to the group..
Ayumi: "I know all about these rotaries, and that's like.. the first time I saw it in action. And now it's here.. with me.. I never knew I could even.. I'm.. I'm in love.."
Jake Ross: "This is the exact reaction I was gunning for. Well.. Deki-san, come with. And my beloved.. do us a favor and get her ready for.. let's say it's class."
With a playful salute, she acknowledges..

Ayumi: "What a shocker.. I knew it had to be someone like my good friend slash cheapskate Le Glace Pacer trying to amp up the experience."
With a not quite discreet approach, the little lady then began to greet..
Candy: "Umm.. ohaiyou?"
Ayumi: "Ohaiyou.. so.. this is what Deki-san meant by having a surprise of sorts, ehh?"
Candy: "Hehe.. yes! I mean.. it's fascinating, really. The experimental rotary car. You don't get these kind of things in the States."
Ayumi: "States?"
Candy: "Yes! I mean.. I'm still right, Yumi-san."
She talked back in a more confused tone, but Ayumi chose not to heed, as she wonders..
Ayumi: "So, why today? Not just any ordinary day.. and.. and.."
Candy: "I'm no genius, but I know enough you want a ride in it, I bet?"
With such a reveal she can give her this, she surrendered, but with the volume upped significantly..
Ayumi: "OF COURSE!!"
Unable to hold back, she faced an issue with Candy, noting a rather alien scent off her body..
Ayumi: "Though.. Candy-san.. my.. what strange fragrance you have?"
Candy: "The better I must mask my scent from yourself, of course.."
And she further noticed that this Candy had a taller physique, leading too..
Ayumi: "And.. ooh! I see you must've gotten yourself a leg extension! I mean.. what long legs you have?"
Candy: "Ulp.. the better I.. I.. must chase my lit-big sis when she decides to screw with me once more!"
Ayumi: "Oh, Candy-san.. you're getting more and more silly with your money choice. And how about this? I never seen this pendant before.."
An instant filch of the Jacob-Rin pendant however ruined this so-called Candy's composure, as she shouts..
Candy?: "HEY! Give that back.. Umm.. How dare you? YES! HOW DARE YOU!!"
And as Ayumi holds her back with one hand, the other has said pendant in display, as she describes her analysis..
Ayumi: "Uhmm.. you have a picture of Rin-san and Jake-san.. when you mean you really hated your family, Candy-san.. I didn't think it was that bad."
She however then turned back to return this jewelry, but..
Ayumi: "Ehh?"
Another woman arrived, in the form of the agent of chaos Rin, but.. sized down?
Rin?: "Big sis!"
Candy?: "Candy-san, you're ruining the moment!"
Ayumi: "EHHH?!"
(names are for real now, no more confusion)
[clears throat]
As the real little racer rids of her false headgear, she then explains..
Candy: "Drat. The jig is up, Rin-san. Wigs off.."
Still in a mix of the emotional spectrum, the energetic tuner then queries in confusion..
Ayumi: "Wait wait WAIT! So.. which one of you is Candy-san?"
The unofficial sisters then looks at Ayumi, concerned..
Rin: "Did she just.."
Candy: "I have no comment, Rin-san. Your impression of me isn't spot on, by the way. When you say 'how dare you', you have to put a lot of emphasis in the rage.."
Rin: "What, I thought it was perfect! I tried my hardest; I really did!"
The snooty side of Candy however decided instead to spill the beans..
Candy: "He's right: you're real sof-"
What came however was a slap that's definitely not soft.
Candy: "BWEHH!"
Rin: "How's that for soft?!"
Not giving her time to gloat, she gladly shows she has height enough to return the favor..
Rin: "ITEHH!"
Candy: "Gurr... Rin-san. This is a 1,000 yen makeup you just ruined!"
Rin: "Nnnn... I'm a cop! I can do anything legally!!"
Candy: "Yeah? Two can play THAT game!"
These sisters would scuffle, and everyone around started to watch the carnage unfurl.
While no major damage would be seen, they eventually held each other, stopping their arms from being useful in the violent moment.
Furious and ekeing out her tears, the phoenix spoke with pain all around..
Rin: "Urghh.. for someone so short and cute, you sure know how scuffle.."
Candy: "HRRRR!! Who are you calling short and cute?!"
The one other woman in close proximity however didn't find this all entertaining, as she panics..
Ayumi: "QUIET!!"
And then puts a mix of that panic with rage, holding a tool..
Ayumi: "Until I know who's who.. nobody moves, nobody gets hurt."
The sisters stopped to look, as the little racer then noted said tool..
Candy: "UAAA-ANGLE GRINDER?!"
Rin: "Yumi-san.. please, take it easy.."
Those words were enough to show her proficiency of said tool..
Rin: "EYAAAHH!!"
Candy: "WAHHH!"
Ayumi: "You better let me do the talking, or.. or.."
But she remembers.. today is a big day for her, and she can't take any more stress to show a violent side, weeping further as she slumps down and drops the tool.
Rin: "Is she.. crying?"
Candy: "Deki-san explained.. this whole situation with her career is stressing her out, Rin-san. He.. wants this day to be perfect."
Rin: "Ooohh.."
The sisters then nodded at each other: a sign of agreement, as they now focus on what might be a potential third sister..
Rin: "Well, I'm sure if you can't go past our masterful disguises.."
Candy: "Uh-huh.."
A nudge followed with a warning..
Rin: "I said MASTERFUL disguises.. umm, you can figure out we're here to support you, Yumi-san. See.. well.. it's me! Your buddy! Nishimura Rin!"
Now with a confirmation, the name of Rin would have her think of the one other person associated with her..
Ayumi: "Does it mean.. that.."
And like a shadow, he strikes..
Jake Ross: "Hell has frozen over? Perhaps."
Entering with her artistic spouse alongside him, the dark one once again greets without a hello about.
She wipes away any sign of weakness, and instantly tries to get her spirits up again..
Ayumi: "Jake-san.. you're here to see me?"
Jake Ross: "Congratulations. You got me, no bul[BLEEP]t. And you want me.. looking down at'cha, doing your best not dawdling about like a fish outta water."
Hideki: "I didn't even schedule for him to be around, Yumi-san. But that Kei-san schemed away.. rather uncharacteristically.."
A tip of the hat later, he then explains..
Jake Ross: "Well, baby brother told us of some secret mission. I figure.. what the heck? Never been down to this part of Japan before."
Hideki: "But aren't you both far away from home with little reason?"
Rin: "Visiting my little sis's new cafe isn't little reason."
The disposable hero then spoke further..
Jake Ross: "I should mention my hand in team Mazda Spirit's pocket today's going to be quite useful."
Hideki: "I'm going to ask, just so you know."
Candy: "Me too.. I mean.. it's yesterday I found, but the reason behind it.. it's a mystery to me too."
As the odd couple come together, big sis Rin then began to tale..

Candy: "And poorly, well.. according to him, that is. He set his expectations much too high."

And now ready to get the show going, the cowboy starts the quick lecture..

Lysander V: "Oh, absolutely! I for one am quite interested in the philosophy of KODO. Mayhaps I rub off a hint of magic that I can learn from a few tests of that raceworthy hot hatch. And that museum piece too, of course."
Jake Ross: "Your contributions be accepted, milord."
As he heads back to his seat, the lecture carries on..
Jake Ross: "To know yourself as a driver is just as important as to know your car. Power.. limits.. and how exactly to make it work. But I hope you don't mind backup. My little Asian flower?"
It was her cue, and she rose to the occasion.
Candy: "You called, dark one?"
Jake Ross: "Oh yes. You own the fastest MINI I've ever set my eyes on. Supercar slaying in a compact space, powering the front wheels.. Some of that FWD speciality might come in handy."
Candy: "Say no more.. I'm getting paid a chunk of credits out of this, right?"
Said banter however was shot down quite quickly..
Ayumi: "Eh?! Rubbish!"
Jake Ross: "That ain't important yet. You done?"
Candy: "I know. I jest. Anything for a friend. And.. I guess I'm done too!"
And this next person in Jacob's mind is a man whose importance he cannot describe as high as he can think it..
Jake Ross: "Hmmhmm... Keith, you're up. What's your expertise? Why would he have call you? Go and sell your poison, baby brother."
Keith: "Aww yeah. Used to run Autopolis since my career in Super GT, and I haven't lost a step. Yumi-san, you might want to come swing by me if you want some tips to knock down sector times."
Ayumi: "I almost forgot about that, to be honest. Not to mention your Corvette running circles around.."
Now time to take the lead, she thought, Ayumi then wondered as she stood..
Ayumi: "And how about everyone else?"
Jake Ross: "We're pretty much moral support, ain't that so?"
Rin: "[imitating Keith] Aww yeah!"
Hideki: "We have your back anyways! Let's make this whole teamwork thing work now, Yumi-san. Go on.."
She's also having trouble collecting her words like her idol did beforehand, until a moment later..
Ayumi: "I.. emm.. I might not make it out as intended, but I.. I.. APPRECIATE THIS EFFORT! I'll do my best!"

As everyone began to move about to their roles, the dark one moved to the little lady..
Jake Ross: "Short and sweet. Nothing like a rookie stepping up to grow, but.. she's lucky."
Candy: "Lucky?"
Jake Ross: "Yeah. Imagine if she.. don't got us around?"
That question finds itself questioned with Candy's quick rebuttal..
Candy: "I.. you know.. I can. Hello, my backstory is literally lone wolf?"
And a reply is what she got quickly after..
Jake Ross: "Would you say you're lucky being this high up the food chain before meeting the likes of us?"
Candy: "I.. can't be too sure about luck. I mean.. would you see how small I am?"
Jacob then remembered a piece of the past he's went through..
Jake Ross: "Y'know Paul's gimmick was luck?"
Candy: "And?"
Jake Ross: "It's bul[BLEEP]. We can't say he's lucky. He knows his stuff.. feller just wasn't confident or even outgoing bout it. You know Graham kept telling me.. whatever lucky or not, with the draw you get, all you gotta do is play the cards right. You can see where his mistake was, that Paul."
Candy: "That's sound advice. Wild with an e sure is smarter than he seems. Why haven't I seen him in such a long time?"
Jake Ross: "I bet.. since his nasty crash at my debut, he's got his eye sights on Group 4. What say you.. get included?"
Candy: "There's a tempting thought. Let's see if I can get that draw."
Although without much else to follow with, this last fact had him ask..

With a face cross enough to smash boulders, he quickly spoke out against this behavior..

She then receives an electronic car key on her hands, and after a quick look then spoke..
Candy: "Mazda.. don't tell me.. this is the.."
Jake Ross: "Yup. You got eyes. It don't take an enormous intellect to tell it says RX-VISION. Might be the last time you get in one. I suggest you go get a few laps in. Have Ayumi tail you, push her a bit."
Candy: "Alright.. Deal."
And later on in the morning, a threesome of race worthy machinery course through the sunny but cold circuit..
With race communicators set up between these cars only, from the RX-VISION..
Candy: "Come in, Yumi-san.."
Ayumi: "Loud and clear.. you're not Jake.."
Jake Ross: "I'm still nearby, ladies."
Candy: "Well, of course I'm not the dark one. I'm not Rin-chan levels of imitation yet. But.. well.. I'm going to push hard. Really hard. He instructed me, see? Tells me you need someone to follow."
Jake Ross: "Them's the words. I'll step up too. How about it?"
Ayumi: "I got enough tutelage as is, Candy-san.. I'm ready for you both."

To be honest, do I even want to do tuners?
There's a lot that's off with the car, and.. this is the time to show if it can shine. I mean, I should do it. I've been running a 600PP SH RX-VISION for as long as I've bought my first one early in the game's lifespan, so I might get some value out of me relooking what I did, and of course changing it.
First: let's get this out of the way: no, I cannot justify it carrying these unchangeable downforce values! This is the thing: the numbers are greyed out, and on the FD, that's not quite the case (for the rear). This means.. if you frequent expressway speed races, you might want to pick another car. But should you have another thought or aren't listening, you can instead give the car the only changeable parts in the exhaust section, and a fully custom CPU. Then you don't want to dump with the weight reduction, and put the ballast on full send. Loads of water in the car, so much that you can fill a whole oasis!
This means to make it work, we have to use its power. And did I say it was limited power? In this car, you can't add power forcibly, or even put on a turbo. As I've said on the Wednesday, the car's PP is strangely overrated. You get the car all muscled up, and it'll have barely in the range of 400 HP, at about 1.2 tons on 600 SH. This is pretty nasty for this power range, and like I always ALWAYS say: kids are cruel. This is one kid you can mold; manipulate into performing all kinds of atrocities. And there's nothing like a good atrocity to keep a war going. It does mean that you don't need to tune for wacky changes in power band at least. And it brings me to the next thing..
Transmission! Again, I'll stick with the manual, but I can let it slide if you want to slap on the race T's if you want. Since the car hates both low and high RPM, I was thinking on how this is to be tackled. Putting thinner gears is going to promote that high RPM oversteer, and I need a solution.. that came as soon as I had a peek on the legend Praiano, and what he's done is generally widen the whole gearing. If you make the power oversteer more gradual and probably less sharp.. okay that's pretty good (YOU'RE PRETTY GOOD/PRETTY... GOOD..), so I yoinked it (credit him for this idea not me eksdee)! I didn't yoink everything since I do have a few ideas I prefer going my way instead.
While I'm glad the car has no weakness to curbs at least, it still means you have to touch upon suspension. This will depend on how much ballast has messed with your car's current weight balance. My setup is mainly a well balanced (similar front and back values), more generally hard setting that's the norm for this segment, while the car rests on a 50:50 adjusted setup, plus with toe and camber mostly untouched. You can have a little extra value for the back, like one step or something. While you're at it, do get race brakes, and the increased body rigidity: more stopping power and stability are complete lifesavers to a lot of the unsavory road cars, especially this one.
To complete the car, have the differential settings akin to mine. You will need some number on initial torque. Mine's at least 15 in initial torque and braking, and my goodness that's the power oversteer taken care of.
And surprisingly with all these changes, my run with a 600PP SH class has me see the car's many issues are fixed, and if you've done it right, you have Group 4 stability and pleasure in a road going rotary that wants to, at first, end your existence. Trust me: this is all good, mainly because can't say that to a lot of the Vision GT cars!

Putting thinner gears is going to promote that high RPM oversteer, and I need a solution.. that came as soon as I had a peek on the legend Praiano, and what he's done is generally widen the whole gearing. If you make the power oversteer more gradual and probably less sharp.. okay that's pretty good (YOU'RE PRETTY GOOD/PRETTY... GOOD..), so I yoinked it (credit him for this idea not me eksdee)! I didn't yoink everything since I do have a few ideas I prefer going my way instead.
While I'm glad the car has no weakness to curbs at least, it still means you have to touch upon suspension. This will depend on how much ballast has messed with your car's current weight balance. My setup is mainly a well balanced (similar front and back values), more generally hard setting that's the norm for this segment, while the car rests on a 50:50 adjusted setup, plus with toe and camber mostly untouched. You can have a little extra value for the back, like one step or something. While you're at it, do get race brakes, and the increased body rigidity: more stopping power and stability are complete lifesavers to a lot of the unsavory road cars, especially this one.
To complete the car, have the differential settings akin to mine. You will need some number on initial torque. Mine's at least 15 in initial torque and braking, and my goodness that's the power oversteer taken care of.
And surprisingly with all these changes, my run with a 600PP SH class has me see the car's many issues are fixed, and if you've done it right, you have Group 4 stability and pleasure in a road going rotary that wants to, at first, end your existence. Trust me: this is all good, mainly because can't say that to a lot of the Vision GT cars!
Laps pass, and the little lady's experience with a concept, while exhausting, was refreshing, as she spoke..
Candy: "At this pace.. wow: how impressive. This has been.. quite the ride. Yumi-san?"
With the Jaguar out and ahead, the Mazda3, now in the hands of someone more comfortable than before..

Ayumi: "I.. I see."
Jake Ross: "It don't take half a brain to figure out what it is."
Ayumi: "I.. perhaps.. wait.."
While it can mean anything, Ayumi didn't take a couple seconds to know this riddle has an answer so obvious that it was in front of her..
Ayumi: "Scratch that.. of course I do! I'm not going to let HIM down. Not let everyone down!"
Candy: "Dark one?"
Jake Ross: "Time to leave her to it."
A deadline reached, the rotary race pundit wiped her sweaty forehead clear, as she walks to her young husband waiting by..
Ayumi: "It's done.."
He's expecting the best result, but her face speaks miles on how that's not what happened..
Ayumi: "Deki-san.."
Hideki: "Y-yumi-san! Umm.. I.. I can see that.. I'm sorry."
Ayumi: "JYAAN!"
A quick trick later, and that energetic smile she's known well for in Kyoto then came to be, and to her beloved: it's obvious as he reaffirms..
Hideki: "Wait! Yumi-san! Does it mean.. you did it?"
Ayumi: "Yes! Of course!! But since it really pushed my stamina to the edge, I'll be missing the rest of the season to work on it, and then they want me back in action as soon as they can!"
He's been tricked, but his smile hints that he would gladly take this final result rather than that false face be the reality.
Hideki: "Oh my! This indeed calls for.."
However, she knows him much too well for her to suddenly leap on to him..
Ayumi: "BANZAI!"
Hideki: "W-waaaahh!"
As they crash to the floor, she brings the man back up at lightning pace, and she speaks with a similar pace in her excitement..
Ayumi: "Now a run with the RX-VISION!! Okay, Deki-san.. I know it's coming.. enough with the surprises."
Hideki: "Surprise? Like I would think that would even.. well, h-here.."
The celebrating pair then found the red menace just waiting, but not just by itself.
Ayumi: "Nya nya nya.."
Hideki: "Stop clawing me! Over here.."
As he leads while being under attack, they then see another waiting pair in the Ross brothers..
While the lesser brother then greets with a smile..
Keith: "There you two are! Well, You ain't keeping up with the likes of him yet, but.."
This conversation isn't complete with a clash drenched with brotherly sentiment..
Jake Ross: "She's still racing next season. I'll see personally what they'll do to her."
Keith: "Bro, I was getting to it.."
Jake Ross: "I know. I know how you think, baby brother. I always do."
Keith: "Yeah? I refuse to be treated as one dimensional, you know?"
The dark hero then walked on towards the one car out of place and announced..
Jake Ross: "So, the superfan got a taste of a good result for the first, and you still found favor.. not just mine, but about everyone else in Mazda Spirit."
Ayumi: "I have the spirit.. for Team Spirit after all!"
Jake Ross: "Right.. now I must uphold my promise. You ready?"
And with that done, he then opens the RX-VISION's driver side door..
Ayumi: "A-a... excuse me.. A-a.."
She melts down quickly seeing the red filled interior of Mazda's concept sports monster.
Keith: "All honesty, I forgot she's quite the character."
Jake Ross: "You doubt that?"
Hideki: "It's why I love her. Something you seem to not have found yet."
And upon mention of that fact to the one man out of place, Jacob thought of a perfect follow up to that stinger..
Jake Ross: "Whoa, Deki-san packing some heat on you, baby brother!"
Keith: "Whatever, brah. At least Sonny's not here to mess it up."
Jake Ross: "By the way.. don't tell them I told you that.. the RX-VISION's going on Brand Central sometime soon."
Finding a surprise like that, he hasn't words to say, but..
Hideki: "Ohh? Quick opinion, Yumi-san?"
As if she unmelted herself, she kicks back up from the asphalt, and formed an opinion.
Ayumi: "Ohhh is right. Much as I was already ready to toss my credits, I bet it's not going to be cheap."
Jake Ross: "Nothing inside feels cheap, so you know.. but I'll let you figure out the rest."
He makes gentle pushes to the Rotary Queen into a prospective carriage of hers, of which she then refuses to stop filling herself with hopes and wonders..
Ayumi: "Oooohh.. red.. and shiny.. this is like a dream come true."
Keith: "Bet that ain't the first she mentions that."
Jake Ross: "After the blue haired stint with a 787B in Tsukuba, that makes.. well, not like I do keep count."
And the shy artist moves to the other side and enters too, revealing to the brothers..
Hideki: "Oh, we're having a nice little celebration race, so.. let's get comfortable?"
Ayumi: "Come on then, Deki-san. Be my co-driver."
Hideki: "Alright! I'm by your side!"
As they start messing with the car's insides, the brothers leave them be, walking past their cars.
The little brother of this pair then asked..
Keith: "You know what, Jake?"
Jake Ross: "What?"
Keith: "This whole mood. Your whole character today. I mean, your soul! It's refreshing."
Jake Ross: "What nonsense is this?"
Keith: "Oh, you know.. your old self. The you that I experience playing with on The Great Split, up until being Paul's sidekick. A less aggression fuelled you, bro! No raised choking. No threatening. No violence. No machete. No chemical nonsense.."
And a coup de grace came to his mind soon after, which he then chose not to waste..
Keith: "And especially no harm! It's like Jake's Greatest Hits if you were an 80's hit band, bro!"

Note that I'm not giving her the car.. to give cars in story is a fickle topic. I really usually reserve top end cars on top end people or those with money. If you see Candy's collection, her cars are mostly modest.

Despite that, the children were more into the arts, inspired by the natural beauty of japan. The sisters moved to being a pop star and actress respectively. Hideki took on arts and crafts, coming from his interest in doodling from a very young age, and reading manga. Strangely, his favorite manga consists of those with cars in them, especially Speed Racer. This doodling eventually gave way to his skills in precision sketching he uses today.
Coming into university with a stellar portfolio, Hideki's time on the side came to bolstering his interests. He bought a guitar and started earning on the side performing for small venues, and took on requests for sketching. And the moment he could, he earned his driver's license. While his muse and art are doing great, he gained a desperation to fill in his want to drive, not willing to save for a car. This led him to the racing community of university undergraduates, often mistaken for stalking the woman leading it: Ayumi Tanaka.
A small scuffle between local hotshots and universities wanting to show dominance in the racing groups caused the otherwise unremarkable and shy Hideki to raise his voice. A challenge was coming, and he had weeks to prepare. This is where it started with meeting and eventually bonding with future girlfriend Ayumi. In the end, he overcame it barely, and earned an inner drive to race, and respect in the local racing scene.
Over time, he graduated, and started a tuning shop with his girlfriend. Still together, and also strong on his side hustles, Hideki's main thought today stemmed from a pivotal meeting with an American in Gion, whose dark side seems to keep getting darker.

What set her inspiration for her hobbies was a visit to the Mazda Museum in Hiroshima, seeing the roster of Mazda's cars was a passion after the first visit, and it became an annual thing for her. She would eventually get her first Mazda from a wealthy and generous relative in the form of a classic FC RX-7 GT-X. Her peers in university would often see it shake up the track, as she learned to drive and race at the same time. Years in her freshman university days are appropriated to her winning similar class races of various scale, earning her the moniker of Rotary Queen.
With an on track name, she somehow got a bit of attention, good or other wise. Notably, she made a name when clashing with some local Kyoto racers over their heads. It went in her favor thanks to a man who stood up for her: her future boyfriend Hideki. While he didn't impress from the outside, his heart convinced her enough to connect them. Time passes, and with their art majors completed, they would head into finding work. If it weren't for a certain dark horse, who she would idolize and cement his fame in Japan through his unofficial fan club, it would never lead them to their small but eventually flourishing tuning garage based in Fuji.
While her boyfriend Hideki is quite the introvert, Ayumi is a most definitive opposite, having a booming voice, a metabolism for high speeds and gets excitable really easily. And her name as Rotary Queen starts to grow as she would try to get behind the wheel of every rotary powered car she can, eyeing on a new RX car Mazda has been conceptualizing.

What set her inspiration for her hobbies was a visit to the Mazda Museum in Hiroshima, seeing the roster of Mazda's cars was a passion after the first visit, and it became an annual thing for her. She would eventually get her first Mazda from a wealthy and generous relative in the form of a classic FC RX-7 GT-X. Her peers in university would often see it shake up the track, as she learned to drive and race at the same time. Years in her freshman university days are appropriated to her winning similar class races of various scale, earning her the moniker of Rotary Queen.
With an on track name, she somehow got a bit of attention, good or other wise. Notably, she made a name when clashing with some local Kyoto racers over their heads. It went in her favor thanks to a man who stood up for her: her future boyfriend Hideki. While he didn't impress from the outside, his heart convinced her enough to connect them. Time passes, and with their art majors completed, they would head into finding work. If it weren't for a certain dark horse, who she would idolize and cement his fame in Japan through his unofficial fan club, it would never lead them to their small but eventually flourishing tuning garage based in Fuji.
While her boyfriend Hideki is quite the introvert, Ayumi is a most definitive opposite, having a booming voice, a metabolism for high speeds and gets excitable really easily. After a long 7 years, that threat now extinguished, he resumed the bumpy, happy life, hoping to outrun the past he knew wouldn't catch up. These days, Jacob has recently registered as a rookie FIA racer, with initial plans in his head saying to take it slow. All seems dandy, until certain events including the rise of his wife's old enemies resurface, enveloping him in the darkness where he then believes is the only place he belongs.

It's not unusual for Keith to show this interest strong towards his friends and classmates, wearing racing memorabilia as his usual fashion statement.
Befriending a certain Asian American Badass and a small fat nerd with a flair for the young internet imagery, the once wimpy Keith took his influences from their actions, coming out into adulthood with his geeky yet cool flair of his, and took his future to the track after high school. While initially flourishing in the amateur leagues, an opportunity came for him to take part in Super GT for Honda. Unknowingly, alongside his nerdy friend, he's accompanied by a set of characters whom his brother set up with to watch him, eventually befriending them. Said group includes an Italian Interpol agent, his German hot head sweetheart, and the Bristol Harbinger.
Despite scoring high overall, and eventually getting into GT racing, rumors spread of Keith being too pampered, and the presence of his brother's intervention to the racing scene bound to come. Then, it all came down to Keith officially named the successor of his family's racing heritage: a name he strongly objected to at first, but then he didn't relent to represent when encouraged by his brother who he endeared so much all his life. And due to recent events, the Ross brothers dream start to flourish after today..
