Hi guys this may be common knowledge but details about the upcoming gt academy first round 2011 have been made availiable.

Go the info off the "sixth axis" website who were at a media event today regarding the competition. Apparently due to start 4th march

Anyways its being run on an eifel custom track in a nissen fairlady z.
Tyres are comfort medium and SRF is locked off. All other aids look to be ajustable.

Head over to the website for a look at screenshots etc, I would post link but not really sure how too

:yuck: Sounds like it will be very annoying.

"now now, Stiff Upper Lip".......lol

To me that track looks rather similar to Silverstone if you ask me :P, well as best as they could with the track editor anyway. Obviously some sectors dont but the first and last sector do.

Jsut to let you know, there are many different variations for the Eifel setup. We saw 2 variations of it for the U.S. GT Academy. The only thing that truly seems to stay the same, is the straight where the pit is. But both tracks that we saw had quite a bit of elevation and banking changes.

They were tracks that required quite some time to find the fastest line. Very few instances that anything but grip driving was the fastest. I would say, patience, line control, and understanding the effect of the bankings is the most important.

Good Luck to all of you. It was a blast for me to get to compete.
