True, the wets handle ok in the dry for a lap or two, it's just that they easily had another lap of running on a dry track before the rain came, something their engineer would've told them (if they had one).

I'm using Crew Chief who doesn't tell me rain is incoming. Does the Stig inform us of weather changes? Be a nice touch if so as pausing is immersion breaking.
Nope the Stig doesn't let you know either.

Checking the weather forecast before the start of a race helps as well, I normally pit the lap after the AI to change to wets or inters.

Crew Chief will tell you that it has started raining and usually this is before you see it on your windscreen.
So you have enough time to decide when to pit for new tyres, unless you're at Nordschleife.

He wasn't telling me that today for the few races I had where it rained. Maybe I'll have words with him back in the garage lol.

Also need to remember to map a wipers button to my wheel as the game is slack at best at auto-turning them on. The best is when the blade moves across the windscreen but none of the rain is wiped off...

There is a setting in the options to turn weather reports on/off.
Crew Chief will then also tell you when the track temperature changes.

Thanks. I've got temp info but must admit I went through the options and tweaked some stuff. Perhaps I disabled weather reports. Will check ASAP!

Decisions, decisions. Just finished Formula A championship. Now I need to choose LMP1 contract. Audi R18 TDI, Audi R18 etron, or Toyota TS040. Anyone want to share their thoughts? I'll have to test drive them all.

I'd say take the R18 e-tron or the Toyota. You don't pay DLC for nothing. :D

I just finished and won the GT3 Euro Championship and signed a contract in LMP2 in the Endurance Series. Now I have the choice between the European Endurance Ch'ship, the American Endurance Ch'ship and the Tri-Nations 1000 Endurance. Any suggestions from your side? I don't have any plans or preferences so far.

R18 etron is good but I prefer the TS040. I don't see any reason to use the R18 TDI.
Test drove all 3 on 24H Nurb on stock setup. Definitely a choice between e-tron and TS040. Signed on with the e-tron because it is the most stable to drive with DS4 controller.

I haven't tried LMP2 Endurance. I would pick the championship with tracks I have not driven.

I'd do Tri-Nations since it's a LMP only championship (there's a GT only Tri-Nations Championship with different tracks), American/European can be done with either GT or LMP.

I picked the tri-nations for LMP1 endurance career about 3 months ago, still haven't got around to doing the first race.

About to get back to career mode again. I had to take a break from it again because I was trying to get use to a wheel I got a few months ago.

Is there a way to avoid certain events?
Is there a clear way to choose car and livery during the career?
I know i sound like a n00b but i really don't get this game at times

During the season you can skip certain events, not the ones you signed up for.
You will drive your team car and livery in these ones, no way around.

So i left formula C because of frustration. So I'm back in gt3 completing a cup i haven't completed yet. I'm using the Corvette and I'm having a blast driving it. Right now I'm 4th in points behind 18 points behind going into the final event. I qualify 3rd for the Sprint race and 16th in the main race. I was pushing too hard in that session and kept spinning out. So im kinda nervous. In practice i was getting killed going down the long straights (track is Bathurst) and im good in the corners. Hopefully i can walk away the winner of the cup.

After like 20 attempts at that Bathurst Sprint race i finally completed it and finished 3rd. Next race (main race) i spun and had damage and it was over. Finished 3rd in points. :( So I'm gonna do a few invitational event's and then take another crack at it next season in that cup. Sakito really messed me up. I finished 23rd and 24th there. If i would of finished at least in the top 7 or so i could of been good going into Bathurst. But that didn't happen.

Just won the gt4 euro championship with the ginetta and got contract offers from gt3(almost all cars) and formula b. which series do you guys recommend me to join?

So, I had gotten away from this game for a while after getting my career into the LMP1 class. In season 4 I drove the alpine, and won the LMP2 championship. I was then offered an LMP1 ride (for almost every team and car) and chose to drive the RWD P30. (this is when I got away from PCARS for a while, playing Uncharted 4 and The Witcher 3 (along with its DLC).)

Recently I have gotten back into PCARS and i must say, I am extremely disappointed in the LMP1 championship. It's supposedly the pinnacle of Motorsport for the game and the championship is no different than the LMP2 class (other than the cars driven, obviously). Why on earth did they decide that the Tier 1 series should be a regional championship followed by a world championship consisting of 15 min sprint and 20 min main races? Especially considering the FA championship (which I have not done yet) is a full calendar and is only tier 2!

I understand that they have WEC, and so one wouldn't expect LMP1 to be 3hr-long races, but they could have at least done a 15-20 race season with 1-1.5 hour races and required at least 1 mandatory pit stop during a race. I mean, it's only the "top tier" of career mode in their game! I feel like they must have gotten to the point of doing the LMP1 career season and said, "Ah . . . **** it. Let's just copy and paste LMP2."

I had thought of using LMP1 to go for the defending champion historic goal but now I'll probably try it in FA. Oh, and btw, my career path so far: s1 - kart, s2 - superkart, s3 - formula rookie, Won 24 Le Mans, s4 - LMP2, s5 (current season) LMP1.
Originally I had planned on just going up the open wheel ladder, but after season 3 and winning Le Mans I had the choice of LMP2, or Formula Gulf. After winning LMP2 I had the choice of LMP1, or Formula Gulf. So here I am in LMP1. This season, along with the Euro and World LMP1 drive, I did the Lotus 86 invitational, and Lotus 67. Those were fantastic, and made for much better series than LMP1 does.

Not being able to use dlc cars in the endurance is a let down. The best car in the WEC career is a 2011 Audi r18???

Well then surely it was poorly made they knew they'd be adding lmp cars in future. My point is in 2016 the best car I can drive in the WEC is a 2011 Audi r18 or else two fake cars, yet I've got tso4o & r18etron sitting in the garage.
Dlc car incorporation was very poor that really needs to be fixed for pcars2.

What is best AI level TODAY? Last time i play this game, 100% is destruction derby and 95% is maybe good racing... 90% is easy. Because you can beat about half on cars to first straight if start last.

Depends on the track. I'm not crazy fast so sometimes I start at 75% to get a feel for things, then up to 80-85-sometimes 90. The problem is that they don't feel fatigue so longer races are tough. They keep their pace the entire time and you are only human.

Depends on the car and track tbh.
