As for cars that I had high expectations for but turned out to be crap (or atleast a disappointment) are alot of the cars from the Tuner Garage, especially the cars from Spoon and Amuse.

I actually found the Amuses to be some of the most amusing cars in the game, pun intended. In my opinion, the Street Version is all right, the R1 is nice, and the GT1 is one of my favorites. The Carbon R is just ridiculous (in a good way). I guess it's just driver preference.

both Alpines . Those are easily the two worst handling cars in the game.

I don't know about the A310 as I've never driven it, but I personally love the A110 for some reason. I bet it's just me.

the option stream z i thought it would be faster.

I agree with you there, but for different reasons. Stock, it has no traction at all. It was fast enough in the straights for me, but it was uncontrollable in the corners.

I've found this to be the same in all the GT games right from GT1:

Mitsubishi GTO's (3000GT's) are massively disappointing! You would think they'd rival RX7's, Supras, Esprits, Skylines, NSX's and such in performance levels, but they aren't even close. To be honest, they struggle to rival Evos on the track, despite pretensions at being Mitsubishi's top-end sports car. Terrible handling for a car aiming to compete with high-powered sports car rivals, loses traction easily, and the stock suspension just seems ridiculously unbalanced. They look cool, though, especially with some black wheels!

Also, for some reason I was expecting good things from the Alfa 147GT (correct model name?). Probably because I love 156's, one of the coolest-looking 'normal' cars you see all the time outside. But it turned out to be one of those really badly handling, understeering, traction-losing FWD's that take a lot of time to learn to use!

New Beetle Cup Car = just found it incredibly boring to drive, really disappointing.

New Beetle RSi ('00):

Heavy, "good looking" in a certain way, but somehow it is very, very slow. Even when you add power and reduce its weight, it continues to feel damn slow! :banghead:

Indeed.. The RSI is kind of a pain in the 🤬 when it comes to speed.. I've fully tuned it with R3 tyres, but still, it doesn't feel fast 👎

^^that must be the reason why it's possible to finish the Beetle Cup with a front-drive Beetle that's been souped up. I think the Beetle Cup itself is stocked with full-scale racing cars.
