Mine wasn't racing modded. It has 3240lbs, the stock weight. and no racing wing.

btw, how did you post screenshots? I would've done the same thing after I finished the race at Laguna Seca, but didn't know how.

When replying press the "Go Advanced" button, then you'll have the option to upload images to ImageShack.
Press the "Choose" button and select your file, then press "Host it" to upload.

After you upload it, just get the image address from it and post it :)

My apologies, maybe I stated my question the wrong way.
What I meant to ask of you is instructions on how to actually take a screenshot and transfer it to the pc. Did you play GT2 on your pc using an emulator?

Yes i play GT2 on PC with ePSXe emulator. First i played on PSX when it came out, then i played on PC, and now i keep playing it on PC.

If you play on PSX you need to have a digital camera, or a Gfx card with video input to be able to take screenshots to the PC.

ok fine your europa against my drag mustang cobra 0-400m in less than 9's wit an auto and a hell of a lot of wheelspin

I keep finishing 2nd on GT All-Stars - Red Rock Valley w/ the Europa ... Working on 1st ...

Running around 6 minutes for 5 laps ...

Didn't run the best first couple of laps, but a strong pair of laps to finish and some defensive driving on the final straight got me a win :)

That's impressive!!
How can you make laps of 1:10... :odd:

This is the best i got...

I think i can do it but will need to be drafting alot...
This is harder than to get a gold license, and there's no reward...

I downloaded the ePSXe emulator and I'll try to play GT2 on the pc today. I've downloaded one before, but the program gave an error message stating that "My CD-Rom wasn't compatible with the program." I am computer savvy, so it might work for this pc that I'm using.
btw, my Playstation has an i/o Parallel port on the back (1998 year model). I have an old printer with a Parallel port cable, and if I connect the cable to the playstation and my pc, do you think the pc will detect it?
As for the RRV race in GT all stars, i'll try to win that race with a Europa.
Wish me luck! :)

Thanks ...

Oddly enough, that was one of my worst times for 5 laps ... I did several that were within a second of 6 minutes (5:59-6:01), but kept finishing second because I couldn't stop the car behind me from passing me on the final straight ...

Check out the 1:09 to finish ;)

With a GT-One being behind you, I'd just like to say, DUH!
I'm currently in the same race, with a Fully modded Lotus Europa, (British Racing Green! :D) 299 horsepower and the car handles the corners fantastically. I'm currently at the end of the 1st lap, in 5th place, 3.794 seconds behind the rest of the pack. Wish me luck everyone!

Well, the race ended and I must say, I'm very disappointed in myself. I've placed 5th
(6th place being the Lister Sorm V12 Race car) in the rankings, and cars that were in the top 4 is:
1.Ford GT-40 Race Car
2. Venturi Atlantique 600LM Edition, 0.298
3. Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca, 1.371
4. Lotus Elise Motorsport, 2.640
and the Lister Storm V12 finished 9.105 seconds behind me.
I'll try again, though.

ePSXe works with different plugins, if it can't access your cd-rom with one just try another, or you can also use cd images from your hard disk... ;)

I don't think using the parallel port would work, you would need to have a program on your PC to comunicate with it. And I think you could use it to access your PSX Bios, but for the video signal you would still need to do the other way...

Good luck for the race :)

mmm, I've never thought about doing that! 💡
Thanks for the luck, I'm going to need a good record line, too. ;)

Can you post your setup?
I would like to check what's different from mine, because more than 3 secs in a lap isnt a small difference considering i wasn't making mistakes to justify that difference...

If i was able to do laps better than 1:10 i would win easily...

Well, I spun out TWICE in 2 laps. The car is very easy to loose control of comng out of corners. I'll try one more time and if I can't even place second, That'll be it for that challenge.

I Just ran a test run on red rock valley, With a minor camber adjustment, 2.0 front, 0.2
rear, my best lap was 1.13 757 a big improvement, but I'll have to keep that time consistent to possibly win the race.

This one is a little more difficult to control than my normal setup, but I ran quicker lap times (~1 second quicker) ...

I don't use auto setup on the transmission ... It doesn't do a great job of optimizing the transmission, IMO ...

Yes, it can. The lower the setting, the closer (or faster) the ratios will be, and vice versa for a higher setting.
As for my race, I've managed to place 3rd! Those suspension settings really helped me out, thanks! :) My best lap was 1.12.452, The GT-One was in 1st, followed by the GT-40 Race car in second. Fourth was the XJ220 Race car, followed by the Opel calibra (5th) and the lister storm (6th). The Total time was 6.16.339.
I'll save the replay and give you guys more details tommorow, I've got to go.

I agree, i usually use the auto setup but when i want to optimize it i tweak them on by one.

Thanks for the setup, gonna try it later :)

I know how a transmission works ...
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=1573114&postcount=9
and I disagree that the auto setting optimizes the transmission as well as mathematics and testing ...

Glad the suspension settings helped :)

Just tried your setup and it's great 👍
But still didn't got a win :( it seems the faster i am the faster they are...

My best time was 6:05, and best position was 2nd.

My setup was almost as easy to control as yours, but since i wasn't using the maximum downforce i wasn't cornering so fast, and it makes a big difference on this track...

I also compared the Europa with other cars of about same power/weight (Tom'sT111 and Elise 190) and it looks much better than them. Europa's engine seems to have more "life", i guess it's because of it's power/torque curves. It's a fast car for it's class.
