EA needs to **** right off. Porsche's are some of the best driving machines around, why are they exclusive to a series with ****** arcade handling?

There you go.

It's right there if you want to check by yourself (red dot)

I saw that sign the other day and was going to point it out here.

It's possible that a Porsche surprise could be down the road.
It's also possible that PD was able to get the rights for the sign (and only the sign) through the licensing of the track

I think that they should add premium RUFs and maybe aftermarket bumpers, but instead of actual aftermarket bumpers porsche bumpers replicas, so if you change the bumpers in an RGT, you will get a stock gt3

and regarding old porsches, the ones RUF never tuned, they can create imaginary versions tuned by ruf, kinda like how they did the RM and TC versions of some cars, licensed under RUF, and have the aftermarket bumper trick with them aswell

and along with a livery editor, we could make replicas of the old race cars

I find it really interesting that in the past (GT4 and 5) if you read the description for RUFs they mention being tuner cars based on models from a famous manufacturer. In GT6 it specifically says that they are based on PORSCHEs. The specific use of the word plus the fact Kaz himself mentioned that PD has a positive relationship with the manufacturer makes me hope for a future DLC once the legal aspects are finalized, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if the cars are modelled already and that is all that is needed.

Pretty sure that sign is there since it is part of the current track. Dont get too excited.....
Yes but in the past they had to remove signage that was not specifially authorized by an agreement. Look at the original Gran Turismo Credits also GT2. They are pages and pages of "sponsor" agreements so they can place the trademark imagery on the track as ads. This is a very good thing that those signs are there.

Also see how Laguna Seca evolved over the years. Originally it was full of advertisement slogans etc. then as GT5 and now GT6 it lost a lot of the sponsors who probably demanded royalties to be on the game and that Kaz wasn't wanting to pay.

I saw that Porsche sign too. I was wondering why they could use the name but not have the cars... I guess EA gave them rights to the name but not the actual cars.

I think that this is definitely a sign of things to come. I remember the Ruf dealership in GT2 mentioned it as a tuning company for a famouse German car manufacturer. Clearly, they were implying Porsche but the never mentioned the actual company name. Now, we not only have mention of the name, but the actual correct logo. I also think that the Eurogamer interview with Kazunori about the inclusion of Porsche just backs up this finding.

As much i as i want them, i would not pay. And also, if PD got the license, i'm sure they wouldn't charge either. Atleast not for 911's, boxster/cayman or panamera. I could see the 918 spyder being a DLC car. But that's it.

EA is the Microsoft of game publishers. They have [almost] a bottomless pit of money do scoop excavator bucket loads of money from.

Bathurst has some blank signage. They probably couldn't get those actual sponsors.

As for the poll, for me, it depends on how many cars are offered.

No, just no.

It'd be bloody awesome to have Porsche in GT as they make some of the best handling(production) cars.
A much missed marque:indiff:
I reckon we should start a petition and send it to Kaz to show our support and want for the Porsche cars in GT.

I would certainly pay for a DLC containing the whole lineup. I would expect it to include

1. The 356
2. The 550
3. Every Generation 911 (Base Model, Turbo, RS)
4. 914, 924, 944, 968, 928
5. 959, Carrera GT, 918 Spider
6. Latest Caymen & Boxster
7. Panamera, Cayenne & Macan
8. All relevant Le Mans & GT Race Cars

That Said, I Don't beleive it is going to happen

I would never ever ever pay for Porsche. Not for any other car either. I like complete games, not paying for getting one.
…I get your point with not wanting to pay for content that should've been there on day 1...But how DLC should work, and then therefore a Porsche pack should work (and how it mainly HAS worked in GT5), is that it is all-new content started after the full launch of the game. GT5 was launched in 2010, and the '11 Aventador didn't exist then, nor any other '11 or '12 models they released, and I doubt they held back the small few they released as DLC later.

I would not pay for updated standard cars, sounds, AI, course creator, or anything else that was supposed to be in the game at launch. We know why Porsche isn't in GT right now, I don't see why it makes GT6 and "incomplete" (excluding the car culture aspect) game.

GT5 or GT6 should be able to get a sub license too then

Kaz and Sony won't spend the money / share the profits / whatever with EA. Simple as that.

The no Porches in GT is not some spiteful or oversight thing, it's a money/legal thing and always has been

Especially when you're asking for well over 30 cars in a single DLC pack

Jokes aside, I'd love to drive a 991 in GT6.

*sigh* why is licensing such a pain in the (neck) every single time fr PD? :C

That sign was at the real race. Porsche are advertising their return to the top category. That is literally all it means. PD simply added it because it was there. Nothing at all more than that.
