As always. Will find out about rest of Gibbs Racing soon, if they can still fit in their cars after thanksgiving .... All that extra ballast!

No worries for the British Bulldog here... I feel like going for a win...

Looking forward to racing for Ford this weekend, haven't had much seat time in the NASCAR's recently.

Question concerning the last race before the Chase.

Due to last weeks break as the US participants were all stuffing themselves with turkey, this would mean the last race is scheduled for 24/12/11. What are the possibilities of moving this to 23/12 rather than have it after the Christmas break. It means we then start the New Year with the Chase, and not the Suzuka East (spit).

Racing on a Friday is not possible for me that weekend. I would prefer not to race on New Year's Eve either, but could if everyone else insisted.

I would have to say no to both Christmas Eve and NYE. Whatever you decide though mate. 👍

See you've gone Premium as well!

Won a year of Premium as the season points champion in the fantasy NASCAR competition put on by Justin here at GTP.

I doubt you'll get many people racing from the 23rd/4th until New year, there's parties and family stuff going on for most people 👍

04: 12-03-11 - Daytona Superspeedway (50 Laps) - 12-3-11 at 5pm EST/10pm GMT
05: 12-10-11 - Circuit de la Sarthe (no chicanes) (10 laps)

07: 01-07-12 - Suzuka East (40 laps)

KEEP AS IS

.......

Who's ready for tomorrow's race!! What? No one talking crap anymore? LOL

Well Daytona is an unpredictable place but my guess is Hendrick's will be in lead pack with everyone else fighting for position.

I actually have a formal breakdown as to my predictions leading into the Chase.

I believe Hendricks will stay strong as they are lead by team owner and road course ringer RFLX, Daytona 500 Winner Droptop & Oval Specialist ACDC. But they will need to keep their pace as the gap closes in on them by Joe Gibbs. Joe Gibbs is lead by Monza Race Winner M-Stall, owner Knelly and wingman Furi. Gibbs will be gaining momentum in the upcoming weeks looking to close that gap on Hendricks.

Ford Racing is looking good too. They are holding on strong with team owner homeslice steadily keeping it in the Top Five and with the help of reserve drivers. But this team may be in despair as it can't seem to keep a 2nd seat full-time driver ever since Chase contender Buckeyes dropped out. Ford is looking to hold their ground with the new addition of FunkyDucks. He had a great performance last week taking 3rd at Monza. But Ford will need to be on the look-out for Red Bull Racing.

Red Bull is looking for a spot at the podium with each week looking better for them. This team came into the series looking good with 2 full time drivers and 1 part time driver. After the PreSeason race the team suffered the lose of its' part-time driver mustardaddict (who finished 3rd in preseason). DoWhat13 filled in his seat for the 500 but was disconnected at green flag. Also after Race #1 Chqr (full-time) dropped. Leaving room for DoWhat13 to take the full-time seat. Now with both seats secured, team owner Crazy_bassist looks to take a few wins.

Another team to look out for is Stewart-Ganassi. Even though this team is struggling with its 2 seats, team owner Mudd is putting on a stellar performance. Can he keep this up? As his teammate Jakob struggles to resolve his connection issues. This team might need to invest in a part-time driver before it's too late for them. I would hate to see them not make the Chase.

My predictions:

Hendricks will fall off slightly with a fight.
Joe Gibbs will rise up and give Hendricks a good fight.
Ford may fall back due to "seat-time" but will hold on strong with homeslice.
Red Bull will rise with a fight, battling it out with Ford, Joe Gibbs and Stewart Ganassi for a podium.
Stewart Ganassi may fall with connection issues but Mudd will give it his all.

Top 3 before Chase:

1.) Hendricks
2.) Joe Gibbs
3.) Red Bull

And don't forget, the IRL Tony Stewart went winless in the regular season only to completely dominate the chase!

Edit: just to be clear, I have absolutely no intention of going winless. :P

Great write up Crazy and hope Gibbs can close the gap a little. I feel good that we will have a good run thus week.

Good luck to all tomorrow, missed it last week 👍

Sorry for the double post.

Gibbs Racing is 99% without MStall who drives the #20 today.

Therefore I am looking for a replacement for tonight. Any volunteers?

I would but i'm already driving the #99 for Ford today. Have you tried PMing some of the guys on the reserve list?

I believe I've found a temporary fix for my connection issues, and will attempt to race tonight. Same car and team as before. Since I can just about still make the chase with good finishes (or so I hope), I'll give it a go. (21 points behind 8th in the standings)

If I don't get in a wreck on an oval, I'm usually top 5. As for road courses, I've won every road course race that I've been in for season 1, so I'd expect top 2 finishes at them.

Joe, we might extend the Chase to top ten in points. Just keep showing up and plugging away.

Had my race screwed over by a lagging Funkyducks on lap 2.

Just great. Thanks a lot.

Was running very well, but could only get 45 laps from tyres. 10th is not what I should have got, especially after dodging the big one...

Looking back, I should've made a move on Crazy when I first noticed his tyres were going and then charged into the lead, as I'd protected my tyres enough that they had another 4 or 5 laps on them. But oh well, 3rd is a good finish, and a nice 2 3 finish for Ford.

Well, caught in another wreck that I had nothing to do with, just unlucky. I did get in quite a bit of great racing before the accident, though. Trying hard to lead a lap early, (never did) but I did manage to navigate cleanly from last to second 3 or 4 times in the early laps so at least I proved I can do it around you all. Kind of ironic, as the wreck happened I was watching the smoke down low and chose the high line only to find my team mates passenger door directly in front of me. Doh! That's NASCAR racing, count to 10 and try again next week. Good racing while I was up there, everyone seemed very aware of the cars around them, well done.

I noticed too...would've said something but I was laughing too hard. :D
