Chassis Swap List

You can get the GT One under the Camaro SS (non-RM version) without any poke at all, makes for a real super-light monster đź‘Ť

But the Camaro SS '10 is too wide for the M5, it needs quite a camber to make it fit without poking too much. Similar to the Audi Nuvolari Quattro chassis on the M5.

I'll try the GT One later, just to be sure.

Tried the Camaro SS on M5, needs at least 6 camber front and back to clear ... Commodore is not wide enough, I'll stick with stock chassis, it allows the wheels to get inside while I dropped it - no slamming as it will be used for racing, needs good handling.

I drift, i dont go Stance

It's easy to counteract with ballast to get it to 50/50 weight distribution, plus you get the full aero values of an LMP car. So long as you don't go completely mental with the power it'll stick to the road like 🤬 to a blanket. (if you need it to, that is)

im just looking for the best chassis thats fits the m5 ,theres no need to get into an argument,if anybody knows a good chassis thats makes the wheels stick out a little but not too much that it looks stupid.

i dont need the bmw to be a drag car but at least keep up if im racing others but if rido finds a good chassis that needs like 3 to 4 camber then it will be fine.

Careful with the triple posting bruh. Just edit your post to add on to what you said before.
Or wait until someone else posts.

ok thanks.

Tried several suggested race car and they are all too wide - as well as too light at 700+kg  with rear bias weight, just like the Camaro SS '10, RS6 and Audi Nuvolari - too much poke. Tried the CL600 - bad weight distribution and heavy, still a bit too wide, then I found something that fits better than all of them.

Thanks to Smuttysy , E55 AMG, it still needs more than 3 camber at the rear to clear and around 2.5 at the front, weight distribution at 50/50 with some ballast and still weighs mid 1400kg :) It's on share now, handling is pretty good with sports tire. The full custom suspension I fitted is dropping the chassis too low, even at max ride height, will try to fit better custom suspension if you want, meanwhile you can drive it and see how it goes. Reduce the roll bar to 3/1 if it's hard to control mid corner.

Slightly better fit may be the Acura DN-X / Honda Dualnote. Just put one under mine with only 3.0 camber and slotted straight in with no pokethrough. Gonna be a different story when it comes to lowering the ride height though, as it's currently at +15 on the Bentley suspension, any lower I think it might start to poke, a lot!

(EDIT: Just floored it and there's only a tiny bit of poke that disappears when you add just 3.5 and 3.0 camber. 965kg on a stage 5 weight reduction)

Cool, it's up to vinko now, I have the M5 on share with e55 chassis, I'll hear what his thought on it, the Acura DNX might be too light as the car has over 1000+HP.

Here yo go
- Chrysler Prowler '02
Wb: 2878mm
Ww: 1943mm

- M5 2008 Wb: 2889mm
Ww: 1846mm

Are you fitting these or just throwing out wheelbases and widths?

I remember trying this and the front fit awesome, rear needed way too much camber, and nothing looks worse than having more camber in the rear than the front. I came to the realization that at the height I like, the standard chassis works out the best.

May have been covered all ready but that's a long search so Premium nissan 300ZX, I want little poke so could anyone give me a good chassis?

I haven't tested it myself, but my guess is the Prowler would be a horrible chassis to use under any car. The front track width of the Prowler is much more narrow than the rear track width. I'm not really a fan of that style of suspension geometry (other than on classic American street rods), and I think it looks horrible on a drift car, as it is completely counter intuitive to how a drift car should be set up.

Another example of this is the C3 Corvette under an S13. The fitment is near perfect, but the rear has much more poke that the front. This looks ok on a drag car, or even on a track car if done properly, but to my eyes, looks goofy on a drift car.

Use c3 chassi under the Standard s13 then!

Thanks to Smuttysy, there are 2 perfect chassis for M5 now, E55 AMG and Acura DNX/Honda Dualnote, both tested great, one is FR, the other is MR - lighter too. The M5 is on share with DNX chassis - 50/50 weight distribution - added ballast, 2 front camber and 2.5 rear I think, still looks great.

Anyone know a good chassis for the Honda N360 '67 that gives it a little bit of poke?

Maybe Ginetta G4, Autobianchi Abarth A112 '79 , Mini Cooper 1.3i and Suzuki Cappuccino ? Those have similar wheelbase, but most are wider at 1400+mm, Suzuki is at 1395mm, not sure if they will poke too much or not :D
