Chassis Swap List

How are you guys doing your suspension? Just in editor and back and forth, back and forth until it works or am I missing a step?

Anyways, a new find.

C7 Vette
Aventador Chassis
Height: 75/75
Camber: 90/100
(It still pokes a little, so maybe 110/120?)

Made this while trying to find an Aventador chassis, but there's nothing wide enough it seems. Tried a Zonda C12 while it is about 10/20mm wider, the wheels are horribly tucked.

Alright, I may as well give out my LF-A Setting, I haven't seen another stanced LF-A on here yet.

F430 Scuderia chassis
Ride Height: 0/0
Camber: 80/55

All Done in the editor on 2.11

Awesome thanks! Would you mind sharing the name of the paint ? :-)

S15 Silvia with Toyota Castrol T

Btw, the car looks gd in my opinion, but by any chance, would there be another chassis i can use that would poke the tyres/rims out a bit more?

Use less camber and raise the car, it'll poke.

As for suspension, buy adjustable suspension first.

I use the C-West Razo Silvia and that fits nicely. You could also try the Silvia RM but I would imagine that pokes out a lot at the rear.

I believe this is the C-West chassis. The wide is slightly wide but with 0 camber it fits the arches perfectly at the front (mine's cambered in this picture)

Problem is that you are all using donor cars with Aerodynamics.

If you want little poke on your S15, use the Mercedes-Benz Sl500 (R129) 98' Chassis. It weighs 1800kg stock but most of the people who actually drift on gt5 will know it's a great chassis.

I wasn't going to share this but what the hell.

Anyone Know a good chassis for the toyota soarer /sc300? I know the front page says to use ford GT but its to long and not much wider. Ive found that alot of the chassis on the the first page dont fit very well.

I can tell you that it is 4 chassis that fits 10x times better than the Ford GT

When on earth did we talk about this? Please, enlighten me greatly? Please don't take a huff considering I went and done my homework and found this out my self.

"Sorry Jimmy, I now realise I didn't tell you and you did find it out yourself when looking for a friend".

I don't need to go off others chassis' as I've done all my own work to find out what fits what.
Back in 2.11 when all the initial hybriding was taking place, I like to think I played a large part in showing a fair amount of people on here how to HEX edit and also a few pointers on what Chassis' to use as I had a large selection of These cars before majority of people knew how to even mod them. You of all people should know, right?
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I don't use anybodies findings, I use my own and I share them as what I normally find fits very well.

I apologise if you have found this out and wanted to keep it a secret but I'd rather you not assume I found out from you. I'm a big boy with a good eye that does his own things. ;)

I'll maybe have a look at this tomorrow as it's being making me wonder for a while.

I built one for Vinko, I have 2 other chassis you haven't mentioned here that has perfect wheelbase fit and a bit of poke at the rear, other one needs quite a camber to clear, perfect for stance. But he wanted it for racing, so no go. M5 width is 1846mm. The one with a bit of poke rear has 1889mm width. Wheelbase more than 2900mm will not fit well on the wheel arch. He decided for stock chassis already.

Commodore SS has only 1842mm width :(

I dont post the best Chassis, i keep it fore myself.

You are not helping Vinko at all, I'm helping Vinko here, time and energy, I know 2 other chassis perfect for poke and stance with great wheel arch fit, but not suitable for racing as they need considerable camber to not look silly. I also managed to lower it almost like a stanced car without the glitch.

Tried the Camaro SS on M5, needs at least 6 camber front and back to clear ... Commodore is not wide enough, I'll stick with stock chassis, it allows the wheels to get inside while I dropped it - no slamming as it will be used for racing, needs good handling.

Ill get this in the coming days, stay tuned. Is it the premium m5 yes?

Oh, ok. I'm only more spurred on by people hiding it! Makes me want to annoyyyyyy then haha

The other 2 chassis I talked about are Audi RS6 '08 - good fit on the front wheel, a bit too wide at the rear, and Audi Nuvolari Quattro - too wide, similar to Camaro SS'10.

I'd suggest trying one of the LMP cars, Toyota GT One, Nissan R89, Nissan R92 or even the Peugeot 905. Despite having a rather large body width, they're not too far off when it comes to track width. Could be a little tricky for drifting, due to the lack of weight, but worth a go if you keep the power low.
If you're looking for something with a little weight under it too, you could also try the E55 or CL600 Mercs, all of which are around the same wheelbase as the M5.

(EDIT: The Mercs may do better when it comes to lower ride height without masses of camber, as they're not quite as wide)
SS RM chassis under the E55, notice there's also not much camber here and still looks fine. I think there's maybe around 3.0 degrees at most at -15mm on the Bentley suspension, so I'm not sure why you would need huge amounts of camber to get it under the apparently wide body of the BMW.

Will give those a try next time, thanks. Vinko wanted lighter weight than original M5, so I'll look for race car chassis first :) These are with stock chassis and dropped with ride height, the car has massive weight reduction and custom engine + turbo good for 1000+HP :

You can get the GT One under the Camaro SS (non-RM version) without any poke at all, makes for a real super-light monster 👍
