snake5807
hello. I made these recently.
DJ-CiviCThat seems to be heavy because it gots a lot of metal.
snake5807Yes, its pretty heavy. i make it heavy so the cockpit wont "move" when playing rally races : ) .
Mike615Anyone know where I can buy(in the U.S.) the aluminium bars that frexGP uses in its cockpit? Or what is it called?
SimRaceDriverI would assume you'd be able to buy the Aluminum Squared tubing (What it's called) at any D.I.Y. store, such as "Home Depot" , "Orchard Supply Hardware" or "Lowes"...
Very nice!!! I like your simple but beautiful design. May I ask where you bought and how much for the seat? Is the table section detachable from the seat section for storage? Is the length adjustable? Nice 👍BlueRexFinally got mine all done!
Racer XOHere's mine, the only thing I need are some tires
Rogue8i got a hyperdrive.....
gonna upgrade the seat though. got a mate with an R33 skyline who has put racing seats in, so i'll get his drivers side seat with the lumbar support.
this is gonna own!
justjoeThis is what i came up with..
With Stickers =)
I made it out of an old childrens playset/swingset =)
I had to buy the inflatable wheels (but should have used casters)..
And also had to get a sheet of Diamond Plated Aluminum for me feet. =-)
Since I replaced my seats in my Integra with Del Sol seats, I was able to use one of my Integra seats.. pretty comfortable =) Seat Cost: $0
Labor.. did a bunch of that, and then some blue paint I had laying around..
Heck. I think that I have paid more for the stickers..
Costs:
Frame Cost : $0
Seat Cost: $0
Diamond Plated Aluminum sheet Cost: $5
Inflateable Wheels Cost: $10
Stickers and paint cost: $10
Total cost.. $25
Basic, but it gets the job done.. =)
