It says that the item ships in two separate boxes... and the frame is all one piece, so I'm assuming that the seat is in the other box? if it is then I'd get it if I had a use for it. My TV is too high, I have to use my bus setup for now.

hello. I made these recently.

Did anyone see my setup on page 6? I am biased, but I thought it was a pretty clean design that works really well for someone who wants to make a simple but sturdy and comfortable cockpit for under $10! Attached are some pictures for your easy reference... you can read my full write-up on page 6. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

(Note: To simulate a cockpit, it can be easily lowered by cutting the chair legs, lowering the side panels, and tilting the chair back.)

I'm building my DIY cockpit and I want to know what kind of an angle I should put the pedals at. Having them flat (0 degrees) kills my ankles after a couple hours. I need more time to get into the groove and win races :D

Hi guys! I am going to buy Playseat, but I don`t know which one. You see, there are 3 different versions out, so I don`t realy know which one is the newest. I`ve posted pictures of them, and I am asking for some advices and comments.
I think that the newest one is on the far left.

Finally got mine all done!
Very nice!!! I like your simple but beautiful design. May I ask where you bought and how much for the seat? Is the table section detachable from the seat section for storage? Is the length adjustable? Nice 👍

the seat was the most expensive part. It cost $250 fully adjustable from a local performance/ricer shop. You gave me a great idea. I'll put a latch and a hinge so the top flip open. It is kind of cumbersome to get in it right now. Thanks

Edit:
If you look a few pages back i talked about where and how i got the seat.

WOAH I just read through ALL of these posts and I'm deciding that I'm getting a HyperDrive!

I've been thinking nd I might get it in the Yellow Colour!

hooray!

My cheap set up. With my 5.1 :)

My Subwoofer is right behind the bean bag chair so I can feel the rumble on my back and floor.

Total cost of the set up(not including the wheel or any electronics) is 20 dallors. Thats how much the bean bag chair was. Got it at Target. I built the table out of spare wood in my backyard thus it cost me nothing. :)

i got a hyperdrive.....

gonna upgrade the seat though. got a mate with an R33 skyline who has put racing seats in, so i'll get his drivers side seat with the lumbar support.

this is gonna own!

the hyperdrive seems like the cheapest premade choice available...can you comment more on how you think it will work out? as much as i'd love to buy a race seat and build my own, i just don't see it happening since i have 0 tools.

Here are some pics of my seat. It is built out of 2x2's, 1/4" lauan plywood, 3/4" birch plywood, some misc. brackets and a pair of old house speakers. The seat and mirrors came from the junkyard. The speakers are used for the sound system, tweeters in the mirrors, mid-range's in the cowl and the subwoofer is under the seat. Very comfortable and works great, but not very mobile.

This is what i came up with..

I made it out of an old childrens playset/swingset =)

I had to buy the inflatable wheels (but should have used casters)..
And also had to get a sheet of Diamond Plated Aluminum for me feet. =-)

Since I replaced my seats in my Integra with Del Sol seats, I was able to use one of my Integra seats.. pretty comfortable =) Seat Cost: $0

Labor.. did a bunch of that, and then some blue paint I had laying around..
Heck. I think that I have paid more for the stickers..

Costs:
Frame Cost : $0
Seat Cost: $0
Diamond Plated Aluminum sheet Cost: $5
Inflateable Wheels Cost: $10
Stickers and paint cost: $10

Total cost.. $25

Basic, but it gets the job done.. =)
