Do you think this new circuit is one of PD’s best?

  • Yes, it’s at the top

  • No, it’s horrible

  • I’m somewhere in the middle; not terrible but not too good

It’s not bad, it’s alright in my opinion. Far from the best but I do respect your opinion!

I’m enjoying Layout C much more than the other layouts. More of a fan of longer circuits. Going to try Layout B with Kei cars today at some point, feel like it’s appropriate for slower cars.

I was expecting it to be a really long track like the Sierra (might have spelt it wrong) in GT6 when I first saw the teaser for it.

Not much of a fan, but it was free and I’m grateful, hope everyone is enjoying the track! :)

I come to the conclusion I really like this game... its fun in a way that Forza and that kind isnt.

I was just doing the leagues in the Vintage cars section over Alsace and St. Croix and it feels like just enough tension but not too much... I loved taking down the Miuras and the GT40s in my budget 440hp Pantera.

Driving these cars in France feels like a movie car chase where you're Jean Paul Belmondo chasing crims in 1960s supercars... I realise its not super hard as its only intermediate and I have enough skill that I can beat them all day but you need to drive so as not to make mistakes and then you have to be consistent to not let their super boost AI pass you once you're the lead.

The track gfx looks great, the cars as they lean on their new tyre model looks authentic... sure there's issues with this game but am I enjoying myself?

Yeah... 26 miles at a time.

It chase the rabbit stupid? Yeah. But for those 26 miles in France I'm happy. If they keep adding this I can play every day.

See? Slower cars. Suspension attitude. Less grippy tyres. Those all help to make this track enjoyable.
Now, when I did that event, I had a gifted 512. It is plenty fast enough, but that Miura is a killer at Tokyo.

This is a very good track, but not my favorite, my number one is still autodrome di maggiore, at the moment I use the short version for testing, Hermann Tilke should learn how to design tracks from PD;).

Yeah I think GT3 is also great on St. Croix but I feel like going to Group 1 might be too fast for this track.

........ there are already too many in this game!!! :-(
unfortunately I have to agree there are not enough real tracks and probably i will never see my favorite track in Gran Turismo namely Autodromo di Pergusa.

I can't pick a slower car, the 'challenge' (because lets face it the AI can't actually race), is a one spec series in the Mercedes W08 Formula One car.
The reason it is so stop start is because the track only has a few flowing corners (that are 5th gear corners or flat out), even the chicanes in that layout are either at right angles with kerbs that'll throw you off so you can't actually attack it, like say any real ones in the game, or are so massive they are just a series of tighter spaced right hand corners.
The only part of the track that offers anything interesting is the exit of the bridge as there is some undulation and changes in grip levels.

It feels artificial and sterile on everything that isn't the bridge section.
Go into daily races, run some hot laps with the new Ford GT. Its actually a really fun and challenging track lots of subtle inputs. Just don't fall in love with the track or the car cause we'll never see them again in the next Gran Turismo.

Just don't fall in love with the track ...

I can say with absolute certainty that this will NOT happen ;-) Nor with any other cartoon fantasy track that some track editor has spat out.

Yep, the "Real Fantasy Track Driving Simulator" ;-)

I dislike ALL fictional tracks. We have so many real world fantastic tracks I just fail to see the appeal of this garbage.

Perhaps *IF* we had Spa, Hockenheim, Motegi, Mt Fuji, Silverstone etc, etc, etc and we were struggling for content (which I do no see how!) then maybe throw some of this made up rubbish in.

At least give us the real world tracks that have already been in the game (and previously paid for! e.g Spa!)

The Real Fantasy Track Driving Simulator eh?

From one of your "immature" community fellows all I can say is enjoy this Mario Cart Sim ;-) For anyone else that aspires to more Sim than cartoon we would like to see more real tracks *before* filling it with this garbage!

As each and every new fantasy track "drops" this is how I feel :-(

The Real Fantasy Track Driving Simulator strikes again ;-)
That gif was meant to symbolize you hammering the point that you dislike fantasy track over our heads.

I don't have a problem with your opinion, but I don't see the purpose in bringing up said opinion over and over again. You're going quite far to make your point clear, when I'm sure most of us understood your point the first time and just want to move on.

Did a Gr. 4 Custom Race on B. 300km a'la GT1 Endurance race.

Played with the AI around 14th place most of the race, until the last pit stop(lap 37). Then, I bolted.
Grid start. P20. Pitted with the mid field AI, every 6 Laps with wear: Tyres@8/Fuel@5
Shifting at redline. Using recommended gears and mimicking AI brake points.

For the most part, AI were fast when I was driving like them. Good side by side racing with only one brake check that gave me damage. Thought I lost my Clean Bonus(collected 385,000Cr.).

The track kept me alert. No break and my fingers weren't fatigued. Good track.

Not too shabby altough i don't see it fit for FIA regulations.
Conspiracy theory: the track is so wide because large run off areas strain the system and the large lake already does it.
I would've liked it more with a night racing variation 6/10.

I don't really get the track (Have only driven C tho)

It's supposed to be set primarily on public roads from what I can see but these roads would make no sense in the real world. Then the track bits (i.e. non road parts) of the circuit seem shoehorned in. The way they link up with the roads, just little sections here and there.
Overall, the circuit just doesn't make much sense to me

Not quite sure of the Le Mans comparisons. OK it has road to circuit mix but then many circuits do.
Overall I think it's fantastic, all 3 variations. C layout is by far my favourite followed by A. If I could compare the feel of it to anything it would be Road America. It has many sections that really remind me of that circuit.
And the best part of St Croix is I reckon it has at least 3 more variations that could appear in the future. I hope they make them and resist the temptation to put over rated circuits like Trial Mountain, Deep Forest and Midfield back in.
A solid 8 out of 10 overall.

Yes, it's probably because I'm from Wisconsin but I would love if Road America made it into GT.

Look at it this way. According to the Poll 96 love, 47 hate it and 106 are just "meh!" There is a disproportionate number of posts here with people absolutely swooning over this track and I am trying to encourage some balance here in the discussion.

PD do actually read this site and do take some notice of what is said here. So far they have realised they can keep serving up exactly what they have been doing and the majority here will just love it. This is why GT Sport is the way it is, too many people are happy to settle for this second rate junk.

"for this second rate junk."

How pathetic it is to believe that you are the owner of the truth, if people like it is because of something, because it has quality.

How difficult is it to understand that if you do not like it, it's simply your opinion? You have a problem friend, if you do not like the game go to play those things "first category". What a nasty comment

I'm going to be honest here. I'm disappointed. I've only tried layout C because that was on the offer for the "daily" races. I tried it with the R8 and the Ferrari since they are one of my favourites and didn't bother with the Ford GT. I just feel like it's a track that someone created on the track editor on GT5. It doesn't really have any flow (except the last part before the finish line). Many long straights and lots of hairpins / 90° turns. I would have been a lot happier with a fantasy track like Deep Forest, Grand Valley, Trial Mountain, Sierra etc etc. Hopefully the other layouts are better but this one isn't going to be my favourite.

I'd like to try a version that combines the upper sectors of layout B and the lower sectors exclusive to layout C. However, I don't want this version at the expense of more real world tracks, which the game desperately needs in absolutely massive quantities.
