FINAL ENTRY

Taking the long road home...

What an intriguing shot. The miniature filter while not making the rs6 look small certainly achieves a nostalgic, 'through the mind's eye' kind of look. I like it a lot - don't sell yourself short, you did a good job. Looking forward to seeing future work.

ps the composition is very enjoyable as well.

 Thank you! I have been trying to work on my composition lately. I feel like many of my photos are decent but uninteresting so I tried something a little different (for me). I am glad you find some interest in it...I must be on the right track. :)

I agree with tonilleshusband, Digital's pic has a sort of dreamy look to it. I didn't notice there was a miniature filter. I figured it was some photoshopping/colour balancing.

It is a little of both. I took it with the mini filter mainly for the color...then I remembered it was a 2.0 comp. :P I was going to reshoot but I decided to go with it and did some cropping, level adjustment and added a colorizing filter to get it where I wanted. Nothing very complex in comparison to what can be achieved but I am happy with how it turned out.

Thank you for the comments by the way. I appreciate the feedback. 👍

^^Tangles Thats a sweet pic^^

Guys I have noticed allot of nostalgia shots, looking back to 70's type colour schemes and cars. Some stunners.

Here is mine, I call it "Getting Out Of The City" it's composition is to show a rear shot to emphasize the leaving, and the speed of the shot to give it a sense of urgency, I have tried to frame the shot also from a person of the sidewalk watching as I whizz by trying to beat the traffic jams before easter weekend, I have also aimed for a more natural pallet also putting allot of emphasis on the stock car and realism I wanted to achieve.

Hope you all like.

I'm very impressed with the high quality entries and unique interpretations of the theme. Choosing a single image out of the top 20 is gonna be a doozy this week again :)

The mighty Cathedral Rock should have made a pretty good background...

My god TW that is gorgeous! Such a stunning shot, the combination of car and location is perfect!

This is that point in the middle of the rainy, starry night that you realize that the best part of your travels isn't the destination, it's the journey. That split second where life is just completely perfect.

Don't envy the duty of being judge on this one :scared: . Anyone who makes the poll this week should give themselves a pat on the back, cos although I see some frontrunners  I could not call the any of the top 20 right now. :nervous:
