FINAL ENTRY

Edit: have re-taken and re-submitted this photo now that I've gotten my head around the nuances of the GT5 camera.

Maybe not surprisingly enough, my moneymaker car is the Enzo. :grumpy:
I dont know if I'm gonna enter that car again. I don't want to. Maybe.

I thought this might be too extreme, but y'know, maybe they'll realize. So yep, I'll start doing this.

Nick - Lemme know if I should head on into PMC for similar cleaning duty :D.

(EDIT) - All images that fail to meet the size requirements have been removed from the thread.

Much better! I vote yes, please clean up the other thread. There are two gigantic pictures of a chrome Enzo above my entry, no idea why they're in there.

FIANL COPY

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca by amoore3165, on Flickr

was going to do some editing but im running out of time to do it... so here it is haha. i know its a little banged up but thats what happens when you take a pic close to the end of a 2.5 hour race lol

It's a good pic, but I've gotta ask why you waited through a 2.5 hour replay on the off chance you'd be able to catch the flames on a downshift?

I kinda wondered the same thing. It was also posted in the other ongoing Photomode Competition for capturing a moment from a grid start to "the first corner" - either chaotic or sublime. Click here for it.

I know it’s a unique picture, because of the timing. However, it would be good to only allow it in only one of the competitions, since it contradicts the requirements of the other competition.

It is only allowed in one competition, he needs to pick which one he wants to enter, otherwise both will be disallowed.

This.

Which sort of proves my point, again, that rules are not read.

JT - It's Nicknamealguem's decision on thread cleanup over there :). For the time being, it'll just be here.

Maybe a Link at the beginning of this Thread "and the next few Competitions "to the "Tutorial- how to link pictures 500 x *** " which GTP actually has can help further , but honestly those who disqualify themselfs are for the others produktive because we have a better chance :D

imho

Final Entry

Not as nice as some of the other entries, but one of my first tries at editing a picture.

I don't think that even posting something at size 7 in the first post with attention arrows pointing towards it will do anything. I mean, there is a sticky thread in top of this forum, there is a link in the front page rules for both competitions to that said sticky...
I don't know what some people have against the rules to not read them.

I think there should be less graphics on the First post. That may be a contributing factor to people not reading.

Maybe have rules first (on top), then previous winner/theme (on bottom)?

Maybe it's the frailty of the font face. I'm all for being rid of common web fonts, but large amounts of thin text fade into itself and become hard to read. On the other hand anything with more than 2 syllables and 3 words usually ends up "tl;dr" for some others. Which leads me to my next point...

I'd leave the front page alone in terms of layout - for the next two weeks when someone puts up an image that isn't within the specs, delete it and replace it with "tl;dr" at size 6 and linked to the first page rules. This way when a user gets on and sees their image removed and replaced by a link, they'll follow it right where you want them to go (again). Or... you could just falcon punch them. Either or.

I think there is nothing wrong with the first post, well maybe the fonts are a bit small but other than that its just fine... 👍

They are just ignorant, plain and simple. If they can't even abide to a simple rule I think they don't even deserve to enter whatsoever... :P Even if their excuse is "hey I'm new here" etc. etc. etc. is still not an excuse to follow the rules! Rules are rules people...

Point 1 would be good, but point 2 would be better!
Nah but seriously, I think you guys should just leave a warning at the end of the first post saying "entries which does not follow the rules will be deleted" in big and bold fonts or whatever. :P

Exactly. If I get a speeding ticket I can't just say "well... I didn't see the sign" - it doesn't make the speed limit different. On the other hand... I see them as speed 'suggestions' anyway, so maybe it does.
