CluB543 - Season 2Open

Hi all, yep, a very enjoyable start to the season . . . Well Done Nicko! Class Drive Mate! and to Matt who kept him honest . . . good job! I was very tired and cranky last night so i'd like to apologise if I offended anyone . . . need to get more sleep! Hhahahahaha Good Job Gastro . . .

Thanks for some great racing last night guys, was a really got start to the season.

For me, I had a fairly good race, unfortunately with a couple of penalties on the first few laps.. :embarrassed:
I had some great battles with Matt throughout the race, especially throughout the pit stops as we both chose to pit at different stages of the race.

Looking forward to round 2 at Madrid!

Season 2 is finally underway. Great race last night guys. I had a bit of an awkward turn 1, again my apologies. Otherwise though i think it was pretty good. There seemed to be battles throughout most the field, which is good. It keeps it interesting.

In regard to a handicap for Nicko, i have to agree with XR6. The Gallardo is quick, but how it plays out on different tracks is yet to be seen. Were only one race in, so its still early. Plus handicaps are harsh. I was against XR6 having one last season, but whatever is best for the season. Nicko is very quick though. I think his best lap was a 1:47.4 and my best was a 1:50.1. Which i only managed to acheive on the last lap, prior to that my best was about a 1:50.6. I think that i was only able to compete with Nicko as he got stuck in traffic abit. Plus i think he got quite a few penalties. I managed to cop only one or two.

All of that being said, i had a blast and i can't wait for race 2. Thanks again for some good racing guys. See you at Madrid :)

Well said Matt and xr6 regarding nicko and his tyres. Just trying to rev him up at the moment hoping that he will turn on his mic and give me an earfull as we have yet to hear his voice lol.

Great start to the season, i will do some technical biz with SS tonight so hopefully we can make his online experience more stable. I really felt for him last night, missing out last season i want to give him every chance i can to compete in this one.

Anyway, moving on to round 2, see you all there with engines revving and round things spinning.

Cheerz, gastro.

 I do have a mic, just hardly ever use it... I'll put it on for round 2. :D

What sort of tyre handicap are we thinking here? Sports hards all round?

Nah thats just mean....
If i was going to go down that road i would look at a weight penalty, but like the other guys stated, see how you go on the other tracks first.

Yeah i noticed the SH that BP was running too. I mean its your decision what to run, but if you're going to get some practice in this week, id strongly recommend SH on the front and SM on the back. It feels slow and understeering at the start but its so stable and once you adjust it doesnt feel like its understeering anymore.

I also noticed that BP and SS are running the same number. Not a big deal as you're in different cars with different colours, but perhaps SS you may want to change number?

Thanks fellas I can change my number on the car no problem at all and I am just use too single compound racing and misreading the rules for this one thinking only the lambos and gto could mix it up on compounds.should make next week a lot better cheers Phil.b

No worries Phil, it is all in the original post (OP) on page 1. For anyone who is not sure of any details or regulations, please have a good read, it isn't that complicated but there are a couple of things that might trip people up.

Please ask me if you are not sure though, i am more than happy to help out.
Cheers. Gastro

Great race this week guys. It was a tough one without instruments, but didn't seem to phase you too much Nicko, well done. XR6 you had some great pace too. Don't know if you had some more practice, like the track or it just suited the car. Either way nicely done. Great racing everyone else and welcome to the series VeteranPP. Looking forward to Grand Valley next week. See ya then guys :)

See everyone tonight for some great racing - GVE reverse is a really fun track so the racing should be epic.

How many laps are we looking at G? If races are 45 mins long I guess close to 35-40?

37 laps guys, sorry been so busy. I had all these set up and then the update wiped them all, so now i must go and recalculate all the laps again.
I may just change this to endurance at 45 mins, i have spent so much time on this allready and dont really have the time to go back and do it all over again.
Watch this space lol
