Great racing everyone.... next week should be a challenge i tell ya lol.

A.A.G and I had a great battle for most of the race and gee i was sweating at the end.

Not the best race for me by far. Stuck in the pits after each stop, as well as falling victim to some lag punts.

Apologies to XR6 for obviously assisting in your spin, I couldn't see 100% properly as my screen was filled with smoke.

Yeah there was some strange lag moments.... i was behind A.A.G. and i watched him go sailing in to the wall and kitty litter, then he appeared in front of me all of a sudden like nothing had happened lol.

This should be a reminder to everyone to follow some basic rules whilst racing in online rooms.

1. Hook your PS3 up to your modem and/or router with a cable and turn off your WiFi if possible.

2. Boot the family off the internet
(unless you have a optic fibre connection)

3. Make sure you have plenty of free memory on your PS3 hard drive.
Most hard drives need at least 20% space free to run properly.

4. Disable "media server" in your PS3's XMB network settings menu.

5. Make sure there is nothing running in the background on computers that are hooked up to your home network such as programs that file share like uTorrent and downloading software, syncing software, email and things like that. These can cause major issues like dropping out and big lag. Your ADSL connection can only handle so much at one time.

Eliminating these possibilities can point out that it may be your I.S.P. (internet service provider) causing problems and nothing at your end.

Good race Wednesday guys. Shame about the lagging/glitches but otherwise pretty good. That battle that you and I were having G... Bloody intense. As long as it was all clean, it was probably my favourite one yet.

Had a quick look at the replay. Looks like Nicko and XR got caught up in traffic abit. Aswell as plenty of pitlane penalties. Gotta watch that entry guys. Bad luck XR on that spin, if you hadn't have spun the wheels on exit you would've been fine. Instead you got squeezed out, spun and then touched up by the next few cars. I hope G and I didnt get in the way when we were battling.

Apart from that though it looked like a good, race with some good battles. Hope next week is more stable and everyone connects ok. Looking forward to it. See you guys then!

Got ps3 gt6 updated today at slotrunners did some seasonal events,got my new internet account name and password in order and waiting for them to hit the switch any luck could be early next week or the 26th march is the booking date at the latest looks like the corvettes are yet to get up the front yet. I'm having some PS3 issues so I'm going to have to pull out. Don't really want to spend any money on it atm. Just found out how much they're charging for the Galaxy S6, and I'm planning a big PC build later this year, and tempted to upgrade my bike.

Learnt how to program in C# ASP.NET MVC and got pretty distracted by a project I'm working on. About to learn a new add-on and start project #2.

Project CARS announced that my Fanatec CSR Elite will work with the PS4 so maybe I'll be good for season 5 in GT7


Why are there no replay videos here? Might have to sell you my Elgato device so that I have an excuse to buy the new 60FPS version.

Greg, you should set penalties to strong . . . that would hopefully stop people divebombing at the last moment or going for the playstation pass . . . or getting driven into from behind and spun . . . jus' sayin . . .

I agree that divebombs and 'playstation passes' are very frustrating, but in the week I missed have we had a change of attitude or something ? I can't say I've noticed anything like that. I've seen strong penalties work in reverse plenty of times - someone hits you and YOU get the penalty. I'm against it for this reason alone.

I agree completely. Have seen this happen in slotrunners series where people are getting penalties as victims.
I will keep it on light as a reminder to not cut corners and hit people. We havent really had a problem with this so far this season as everyone is too **** scared to make a mistake and are driving with care.
