Hi ya crazy peeps...
I've been trying to get a Toyota Soarer 2.5GT-T to not be an understeering brick or a spinning top.
It can be a ~750hp beast with so much turbo lag that you can get out and make a sandwich and get back in before the qheels actually stary to move... however you will be facing the wrong way at this point.
Anywho... Looking to do a 450pp and 530pp version of this for various reasons.
Has anyonw else had a play?
It may be becausw the car is white with orange spoked rims?
Funnily enough, I have had a go at one. I can tell you it's going to be like my pink Chaser. That is to say "brilliant on paper, subpar in practice". Think "550PP but runs 450PP times".

The car drive very well as I won most of the races in offline mode by it , hope to see you also enjoy drive it . Online the car prove that she can take down any car and i was surprise by that and also the other racers , Now it will be more of this version on the road when you join any room as i notice before No one using it to race by it in online mode . Just drive fast as you can in strait road but when you come to corner be safe and slow down :sly: and go fast in corner out . This tune made and test on NURB but you can use it on any other track 👍 Now lets cook the car .

NOTE :
Transmission was made stock but i will work on it again but for now its good even its stock .

All specs equal to posted tune, no problems recreating the tune.

Trial Mtn: 1:38.681
A lot of time left, which is disheartening for my Legacy tune which got a best of 1:38.5??.
Incredibly stable. I have to be careful when I gain air, but besides that it's hard to disturb the cars balance. Even the elevation changing long chicane section at the front of the track didn't present a problem.
The cars over/under steer balance is easy to work with. Correcting a bad line is easy and doesn't disturb the car.

Autumn Ring: 1:27.215
Easy, enjoyable.
The stability helps on the tight corners and chicanes. Staying on line is easy. Finding the fastest line is harder.

Cape Ring: 2:59.806
Again: stability.
Once the car settles into a consistent corner under throttle it will accept a lot of steering input. Understanding this is crucial to driving this car effectively.
Trail braking is possible, even useful if used subtly.
Accuracy is high as long as I don't enter with too much understeer induced by too much trail braking.
Taking a late apex line is much easier than any other car I've tried. Exiting with throttle as the rear pushes the front out with under steer and clipping the late apex is great fun.
All four tyres heated up, with the fronts noticeably warmer/oranger.

Nordy:
Had a problem reaching the top speed posted with the tune. ND said he reached around 166mph or so, I only reached 150mph. ND corrected his tune and I changed the gearing to match. I won't redo the previous track times, the change isn't that big.
I also painted the car and added custom (standard sized) painted rims.
After some more laps on Nordy I also had some questions for ND about his braking, till I realized my brakes were staying on at 5%. That will hurt the performance of a car. I took my pedal complex apart and cleaned it, stretched the springs out and repositioned the cord. All fixed.
I had a hard time getting a clean flying hot lap. The varying nature of the multitude of corners on Nordy make the under steer harder to compensate for than on the other test tracks. If your style of driving fits an under steering car then this is the tune for you. For myself, I couldn't keep up with it consistently. Either I pushed too hard and ruined my time (aka Crash!) or I didn't push hard enough and got a horrible time that I'm too ashamed to post.

After talking with NewDriver2 I tried 2 more camber settings.
Camber @ 0.0 / 0.1, 7:47.485.
Camber @ 0.6 / 0.7, 7:51.534.

If you want to dominate online buy this car and learn to drive it better than I did. It will reward you.

Funnily enough, I have had a go at one. I can tell you it's going to be like my pink Chaser. That is to say "brilliant on paper, subpar in practice". Think "550PP but runs 450PP times".

I used that tune to get the suspension sitting nicer... its a 6 speed so tried to extend the gearing in a similar way... I think if you can get the first gear to not just be a way to quickly remove tyres then it might be ok round the 1-2nd gear corners.
I put a wing and about 140kg into the back end to get a 56/44 weight distrib... did help but yoi still have to drive it like its a yank tank.

I did just that as well last night, DaDog saw some of my attempts at getting it around the 'Ring, he'll tell you how ridiculous it seemed. I think it's probably more competitive in 550PP when using 537PP, less power to corrupt the already pretty rubbish handling. I'll try and get this battleship to drive decent, but don't expect too much.

Okay. The time has come, I have a few hours, and I just tested the Viper.

Do to my not playing for a few days, I proved a bit rusty on bathurst, so this time I tested on Willow Springs. At night.

First off, I did everything right, but the pp was too high with the given settings, but 200 kg of ballast and some more power limiting fixed that. Now this is an incredibly inexpensive tune, considering all you really need is an oil change, suspension, and drive train parts.

Off to the track!
I was shocked at how different this car was from stock. Most muscle cars have understeer (I assume it's from the giant engines), but this one actually drifted! Unfortunately I suck at that, and went off the track a few times. I also assumed that since power was taken away, and weight added, that it wouldn't be able to get to the high speeds as well. I was proven wrong when it passed not one, but two veyron's on the straight. I still only took second though, but only because I just jumped back into the game, and a drift car at that!

Of course, drag racing is a little different, clocking a slightly (and I stress slightly) slower time in the ¼ mile stretch. But I mostly do ovals and track racing, so it's better for me.

The verdict is that, I will learn to drift so I can race this online in the lobbies. It's a very well done tune, the handling is improved, it's the least expensive 550 pp car I've used, and it can pass A veyron. Excellent job, and I look forward to more tunes.

The corvette is coming up. I think I might buy the regular one so I can paint it. Does anyone know if there is a difference?

Edit: Corvette is ready.

I'm in shock. I didn't know you could go that fast in that car's class...

It has so much power, I could barely control it when trying to get it out of first. The track was mount panorama.

I had a big crash on my first try, because I was going too fast on the straight, so I restarted and took first place once I found the brake button. I was racing against an Enzo, countach, and a few other supercars. It mopped the floor with them.

One problem I ran into though, same thing with the viper: the settings gave me too much pp. Some more ballast and power limiting put it back in place.

It's also insane at acceleration: 0 to 60 almost instantly. This is the best corvette tune I've tried. Excellent job as always.

Sorry for my late reply. Thanks for running the cars, and glad you liked them (not sure why the PP does not match up though  ) I hope you'll continue to enjoy our tunes :dopey:

Are you going to make the "Big-Boy Baddass" version of the Esprit V-8, lol?

You don't have to, I mean, I have my own build for it and use it a lot, I just know it could be better, and after the job you did on it in gt5, I'm willing to bet you could nail it ^^

Peace bro

 Yes, I just haven't had the time yet. Sorry :(

Hello Sir!

I think it's missing the Sports Computer to reach PP and BHP.

I could reach the gears this way:

- Final gear to 3930,
- Max Speed to 205mph/330kph,
- Your Gears,
- Final gear to 3850. 👍
Fixed the sports comp.... will work on that gearbox 👍

Did I miss anyone? :dopey:... updated my https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ed-24-01-14.291743/#post-9038521 mini OP[/url

Yeah take your time man, we are all busy busy busy, lol.
The update changed minor things, or so I thought. I'm finding more and more things don't match up that we're pre-update, and having to go back and figure them out. That, plus the FITT challenge, and the 8 cars deep I am onto catching up with my intended tuning, and the negative bank roll I have to fund that, keep me very busy in game.

Outside of game, I work 40+ hours a week, have 2 kids, a wife, and snow on the ground constantly, lol. I have 3 cats, 2 dogs, a lizard, and 4 snakes to tKe care of as well. Trying to find "me time" can get a bit hard at times, lol.
Good luck man, if you need help with anything, let me know^^

Yep, bet you didn't see this coming from me, did you? You know, since I joined the Outlaws group that represents one half of this garage, all the tunes I did were rather controled, none of them had that "WTF" feel to it. XDesperado had his crazy Mira\Cuore, ACSR had that wonderful no-striped Ford GT, and Onboy had a Lotus Espirit that almost killed me back at the High Speed Ring. Well, wait no more. Ladies and gents, welcome to my own piece of insanity, "Dangerous K".
So, at this point, you are saying two things to yourself. The first one being "Oh my god, my eyes, what is that!?" and the other being "So, what does this bring to the table?". Well, the answer for the first is, the car isn't called "Dangerous" because I found the word funny, this thing is all about the danger of going blind, as for the second, well I'm glad you asked... A nice coat of chromed pink for the body and bright red Hayashi's for rims means that this car will have people looking... and shooting you with rifles. Or laughing. However, this whip also brings something else. A 150 hp, nitrous fed engine. Yes, you heard it. This thing is packing all the best parts your virtual money can buy. Including a super Atkins diet, so that this car weighs 631 kg. Yap, this car has it all, super light body, and a super powerful (for Kei car standards) engine. So, you're now saying "Yes, but I bet it handles as bad as it looks..." Are you sure? Because this whip brings nothing but amazing grip to the track. Yes, understeer has been obliterated in favour of a more fun behaviour. Since I biased the handling towards a FR behaviour, once you get tired of grip you can put on hard tires and pull some handbrake drifts (trust me, I did a few of those). I didn't make this for any specific race, you can toss it around on Toscania Dirt for all I care. This car is all about embarassing the driver as much as it embarasses the competition. Ferrari can't claim that, I'm sure... But it is fun, and that's all that matters. Enjoy the impending danger of living with "Dangerous K".

Hi Niku
Loving driving her, & i don't know why you call her "Dangerous", she's a pussycat... long as you remember pussycats sometimes like to go for your eyes with their claws!
Reminds me of the 4WD Mazda Demio from (i think) GT1 & 2; it was some kind of imaginary special edition, would take a Stage 3 Turbo! Gave it stupid power, for a roller skate, but no torque at all, and this is the same so you need to use your nitrous to get up to speed if you get stopped for whatever reason or the race will be over. i loved that Demio and i love this for the same reason - the way it holds the track!!
She's pretty much glued to the surface round most bends, and the twisty stuff is where this car wins.
In races where there are lots of bends & corners you can utterly humiliate Boss 'Stangs, Evos and any JDM tuner special you care to name, but beware 'cause on a long straight they will take a terrible revenge!
i made maybe 8 attempts at International B Midnight Racers Nurburgring and it went the same way every single time: i'd hit the last straight with a solid lead full power on and a quarter tank of nitro but somewhere near the end of said straight i'd be viciously 🤬-ed from behind, spend a while recovering my underwear and finish 3rd if i was lucky. On a long straightaway you're going to get caught even with nitrous, and then you will DIE, 'cause those other cars are travelling so much faster than you that if they hit you they're going to hit you HARD! She's so light you'll go a long, long way before you can regain control, and if your trajectory is towards a wall... R.I.P!
My little "K" has been rammed from behind so often she thinks she's working in... ahhh, lets be polite... Adult Entertainment!
So you have to pick your circuit to suit the car(lots of curves/bends and short to mid-length straights, i've found), is really the point, and offline that's kind of the only problem with this build; most races that suit the car/tyres are just too easy. Online i've no way to judge; don't yet have enough confidence in my ability to race clean online, to try her out so that's for someone else to test.
There's one series where this machine shines, and that's National A Gornergrat League, hard enough to be a challenge but winnable & against serious opposition. Try it, really!

To sum up, then; little car, BIG fun!!👍

Just one thing... that colour scheme... those rims... you're off your meds again aren't you!
(Can the rest of you blokes at COTHO make sure Niku stays away from sharp objects, and paint chips -for everyone's safety!:scared:)

Sorry i took so long to post this, seeing as i've had her since day 1, but i got distracted creating my own first full tune, a 450pp Lancia Stratos; my best on Stowe is 1:00.536 on comfort softs with TCS at 2 and ABS 1,everything else off, so i'm not un-happy with it, as a first try, but ... it could be lots better:confused:. 2nd attempt already underway! As before i'll be using Motor City Hami's & Praiano's tuning guides, anything i got right is thanks to them, and to studying the tunes i've got from here. You want to understand GT6 tuning, that's where you start - simple as that.

Whoops!
Sorry 'bout the waffle; i hope i was somewhat constructive, but it kinda-sorta got away from me - i'll try harder to stay on topic in future(but no promises:P)

First of all things, thank you very much, Sud, the fact you loved the hell out of a car that can blind you for eternity is quite the thing that makes a tuner proud of his (twisted) work.

I guess it is hard to keep your chain of thought linked properly when you were having so much fun. If I can ask a question, how did the transmission work for you? The tranny for this car was my first attempt of a fully custom transmission, so I'm kinda curious to see if it is any good.

As for the paint scheme, I regret nothing! :dopey: Ok, I kid, I guess I just wanted to show those haters who call this ugly what a real "ugly Alto" is... :sly: That's the main reason why I called it "Dangerous", to clarify your doubts. :)

Again, thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. :)👍

Not a problem, i had a great time testing her not to mention that doing so while racing career mode on so many different races made me a virtual ton of funny money... and i'm not sure she didn't like it a little rough!
To give you an idea of how much fun i was having she's on 353 miles and is about to cost me Cr.5500 to restore rigidity!
As for the tranny i tend to run an auto 'box so i'd only notice if it was outstandingly horrible, and it wasn't. In fact i did the three Gornergrat races again just after posting and it was able to handle the uphill as well as the downhill parts which indicates to me a well balanced 'box considering its natural lack of torque; of course the nitrous helped a lot, but the fact is it beat fully tuned WRC cars albeit they were AI drivers; don't think i can say fairer than that - a nice quick fun car, & a winner in spite of not being blindingly fast.
It's not much but hope that helps.
& speaking of blindingly... mines GT chrome 009-n, slightly darker than 001 but still silver-ey; did the wheels in GT chrome 003-w just to go with the spirit of the original!

& don't call my baby ugly dammit:grumpy::)!!

Jose's Hauler
Chevrolet El Camino SS 396 '67
F.I.T.T. announced their first GT6 event and Ol'Harvey Wallbanger was eager to get into the action. Unfortunately while classic American cars are some of the Wallbanger's favorites, getting most of them to produce credible times at Laguna Seca using Sport Hard tires was similar to trying to teach a Hippopotamus Ballet.
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.jpg

Despite a number of difficulties both on and off track Ol'Harvey soldiered on and finally produced "Jose's Hauler". His only comment when asked about the name was to say he needed to do some serious drinking after that and this was just about big enough to carry the needed amount of liquer.
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (1).jpg

While the Wallbanger takes full credit for the suspension and LSD on this El Camino, the transmission is a Lenco 5 speed ST1200 mated to a strengthened 12 bolt rear end running the original factory spec gear ratio.
Anyways go ahead and join Ol'Harvey with a Cuervo Gold, then hit the road with "Jose's Hauler".

Note: Throttle Control! Stay off the dirt. Throttle Control! Watch out for kerbs/track edge. Throttle Control! Try not to overheat the rear tires to fast, once they get dark yellow it will be much harder to keep the rear in check. Oh and did I mention Throttle Control? Sorry folks but you just can't slam the loud pedal to the floor on these tires without cooking them. This isn't just about exiting slow corners either, there are several places on Laguna Seca that will cause the rear end to break free under full throttle because of the odd track slope and bumps. A careful management of the throttle will keep you pointed in the right direction, while just mashing the gas will see you in the sand if your lucky or a wall if your not.

And remember, as Ol'Harvey Wallbanger always says...
Drive Hard and have FUN!:cheers::gtpflag:

Last week I had some runs on the Nordschleife (edit:) and some other tracks in a couple of cars :

@NEWDRIVER2 Toyota 2000GT '67 "Golden Bullet".

This is quick. Relentless acceleration and a surprising top speed - I reached 172mph under the bridge on Dottinger Hohe. Offline I found a bit of understeer in slower/mid corners but sometimes I think I was arriving faster than I'm used to and braked too late. Like @Ronald6 found, though, it just carves through the high speed corners, even if it did feel a little floaty at times.

One of my fastest 450pp/SH laps on TM
Toyota2000_ND_TrialMountain_4-sm.jpg

As usual, slow-in, fast-out is the name of the game and getting the right line and acceleration point will see you rocket of the corner. Some care is required though as the rear can get loose. Offline, I was heading for around 8:04/8:05 without the inevitable "hit big curb-spin-swear" scenerio. I could see me getting 8:00 with this car after a bit of practice.

Online was a different story, however. The standing start saw me snaking off the line (well done to PD for improved realism) and the reduced grip had me running wide a few times. This car is very unforgiving if you stray onto a curb or a bit of grass and will think of nothing of spitting you backwards out of the corner into the Armco if you do so. Braking at the end of Dottinger is a bit of a terryfing experience and should be done in early and in stages as the car got very unstable.:nervous:

Stay away from the curbs, they said...early testing didn't go well.
Toyota_2000_roll_Nordschleife_1_cr.jpg

Overall though a fast and nicely balanced 450pp tune for a beautiful classic, but needs care online to keep it on the straight and narrow. What's more PD have given it the Premium treatment, so go and get one. NOW!

Nice drive in the Mountains, but no time for sightseeing...keep your eye on the next apex

@XDesperado67 Audi TTS Coupe '09 "Sigrun"

Yes, a nice stable 4wd option for clumsy oafs . As much as I love the 2000GT my hopeless online performance led me to look for a safer drive. Haven't tried it offline yet, but ran a few online races and found it to be fast and stable. There is a bit of the usual 4wd understeer but I removed the rear brake bias as I found it upset the corner entry - I really don't get on with rear bias in most cars.

(At) Home on the range 'Ring
AudiTTS_Desp_ Nord_1.jpg

Excellent grip as expected for those aggressive corner exits just make sure you've got your line first. One of it's biggest strengths is the standing start though: no wheelspin, doesn't bog down it simlpy launches off the line like the proverbial whippet. So much so I was braking to avoid the car in front as they'd barely moved: especially take care if you start behind a front wheel drive :dopey:.

I also didn't apply the aero; I was wondering if this made much difference Desp? Does it not create drag at high speed?

@ACSR421 Abarth 500 '09

Loved it. I actually achieved an online victory (in around 8:15) - long after you guys had left The Hill. Everything you'd expect from a sweet front wheel drive setup: good traction and stability, minimal understeer and accelerates better than you'd expect, up to the 150mph region. You need to adopt the FWD driving style of course, slightly earlier braking to avoid cooking the front tyres and losing exit grip.

Hard on the brakes...but steady as a rock
Abarth500_ACSR_Nord_4.jpg

I was using the setup from December, so I need to apply the January revision and compare.

I also have the Abarth tune from @CyKosis1973 on the same car. I did a quick offline run - I felt this was a more aggressive but less forgiving setup. Possibly a bit quicker than ACSR's if you have a clean run, perhaps not as easy for the fat thumbed in an online race :dopey:. Hopefully I'll find out soon.

Next, I will be trying the Alto from @Niku Driver HC - this is definitely my kind of car.

@Woodski_427 the wing is primarly there to add a bit more stability when braking from high speeds. With the 450PP version I've ran the car both with and without the wing and there is little noticible differance in the times I get around the ring. Without the wing you may pick up a couple mph top speed but you'll need to watch your braking a bit more as the rear will get loose easier. On the 500PP version the stabilizing effect is much more apparent since the extra power means the car is much quicker in all sections.

Much like the brake bias though, how much downforce you run or losing the wing entirely is more about personal preference and driving style. If you get on well with a fairly loose rear end then running no aero or minimum values will be fine. If you prefer a more stable drive then the extra downforce is useful.👍👍

In any event I'm glad to hear that the basic tune worked well for you. As always I encourage people to tweak my settings to best suit their own needs/style.

I'll be pulling that Abarth apart and putting it back together again, so I'd hold fire on any serious testing for now, fella. Thank you for giving it a run as is 👍

Thank you Sir for the run 👍 good to know you enjoy my 2000GT its fast but need a care and drive it more online to know where is the good line and the brake point . After the long stretch you need to brake early and also not to shift down early just apply the brake while you using the 5th gear until you are near the second carve or the second corner then you can drop it to 3rd gear then you will survive 👍 thank you again my friend 👍

Like what I always say slow down corner in and go fast corner out

Wow, I have some catching up to do... I wasn't getting any notifications from here, I thought it had died! Fortunately I just hadn't been here in a while and it registered that I had already gotten a notification, and just not clicked it.

Not really one for japanese cars, but you guys make them all look so cool... Especialy the Toyota Golden Bullet and the tommy kaira.

Definitely doing the Nova and El Camino as well.

tuned with a DS3

The car has 450 PP, weighs 1022Kg with a 58/42 front/rear weight
distribution, has a power to weight ratio of 4.08 kg/hp, has 250 HP
@---- rpm and produces 237 ft-lb torque @---- rpm

Notes:
Like with GT5, let's start things off nice and easy with a 450PP car. This 180SX is by no means the fastest car of its class, but with a near 50/50 weight distribution, this does at least make for a pleasant drive with most the oversteer ironed out. This tune will be updated fairly regularly as we learn more about the new physics.

Update 1: Gearbox now added

Update 2: General overhaul so you can forget the 50/50 thing, but at least now it's not thrown off balance by a pebble

Update 3: Slightly better power/weight ratio, revised parts list, new gearbox settings.

Update 4: New parts lists, general overhaul, removed ballast.
Thank you for your tune because you tune for us ds3 noobs!
Question tho.. When you say stock, do u mean keep the wheels it came in? Or stock size?
Thanks again

Last week I had some runs on the Nordschleife in a couple of cars :

@ACSR421 Abarth 500 '09

I was using the setup from December, so I need to apply the January revision and compare.

Thanks for the review @Woodski_427.👍

Try the newest update and let me know if its better. I noticed a change with that car after the 1.03 patch and hopefully I've corrected it now.
