Who cares about licenses 2012?
It´s codemasters of course it´s arcade what do you expect.
The most horrid part of GRID was the real world tracks and the WTCC cars or what it was. Ugh...

New footage during interview.
It's going to be massively arcade racing. They even took the assists out of the game.... Blablabla lost interest.
Assits allow you to change the game between somewhat realistic settings (if the physics engine provides those) and (very) arcadey handling. Not having assits means that what you're seeing now is what you get.I'm completely lost on this. Its gonna be arcade, but it won't have assists. Isn't that sorta not how an Arcade racer works?

And going by the video my room mate showed me just now, with cars drifting around every corner and stuff, it just looks as realistic as Mario Kart. I mean, Grid wasn't known for its realism or anything, but from the looks of it, even that was far more authentic that Grid 2.
That's what I'd say he was reffering to, yeahOh, so he was reffering to those assists.
Not sure no assists will will go down well for people without wheels. I use a ds3 and I know its possible to race with no assists I have done so myself on gt5. But most of the time i use traction control because throttle control isn't that easy with triggers. I cant use the analouge stick because my brain says no to using both sticks lol
RACECARI've gotten used to using the X button for throttle control. It can be done, but it takes frustraiting amounts of practice to really nail it.

Why use X for gas? That's like going back to PS2 games. The triggers are way better than X for racing games.

Personally I think the car list is VERY lacking.
I was kind of looking forward to this. I enjoy both sim and arcade and like to have a copy of a game that does both well on hand at all times. I just don't think Grid 2 is going to be it. It should be a fun rental tho.
If only Criterion would make a sequel to Hot Pursuit...
Prototyp3that's all that has been confirmed so far. I'm sure there will be more.
Also, ya, there has already been talk of DLC.
Finally, the guy who creates the series said something to the effect of, "quality over quantity" when it comes to car #'s in game.
Meh.
