Someone already posted a link above the pre order bonuses have to be DLC at a later date.

Ok, I'll likely just get the regular game and pay for whatever I want at a later date.

Thank you Codies. :D

Well, the little video they made unveiling the boxart ( http://vine.co/v/b1zJBAX0QEt ) I simply tweeting them asking for the bag they used in the video for a laugh. Next thing you know they follow me and ask me to DM them my address. Fast forward 2 days and the bag arrives from that video BUT ALSO:

-A GRID2 USB storage pen
-GRID2 Lanyard
and a GRID2 embroiled diary.

Very chuffed. :D

I can honestly say now that I'm just not interested in GRID 2... :(

Then again, the only new game's I've been interested in since GT5 came out are Portal 2, Sonic Generations, and F1 2012...

I feel like playing TOCA again now.

🤬. 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬. 🤬.

I was gonna make this a Day 1 buy, but THIS? No. I don't care if the game can cure Cancer, I HATE all Day 1 DLC, all pre-order packs, and all retailer specific DLC. Codemasters just managed to pack everything I hate about the industry into a few paragraphs.

Well, I guess I'm done with gaming then.

This has never been a Day 1 buy for me since I'm the 5%, but holy cow at that disgusting retailer pre-order DLC.

I feel like at this point Codemasters are in self-parody mode.

I don't understand why Codemasters have done the DLC ideal but in some aspects it seems like Codemasters may be a tad over-confident regarding this game's potential sales and quality.

Seems so, but GRID doesn't have the same automatic appeal the NFS title generates.

Probably that. Which gives EA a reason to do this DLC bullcrap. For Codies on the other hand, it could go either way.

coughF1RaceStarscough

I know Grid will sell more, but it would not be the first time CM fit that description.

Well, this their most expensive game to date and they obviously have to make up fo the investment made. Apparently, screwing people over with pre-order packs, leaving popular racing disciplines and certain features out is the way to go.

As said, they are clearly overconfident, since fans have been waiting for a sequel for quite a while. But this, as things appear now, it will nothing but backfire.

Don't the devs/publisher understand that always online DRM and day one DLC/on disc DLC and all that 🤬 only fuels piracy?!

Received and email a few hours ago from Codemasters leading to this little teaser video. A new car I spoted is an Alfa hatchback but I forget the name for it.

Yes that one, names of cars are getting quite long and hard to remember for me :P.

Pause @ 0.20 sec. LOL at those liveries, don't do drugs! Or if you have to, change pusher! Grid 1 liveries were so amazing.

This.

So, I take it they still haven't put my avatar in their game again, yet? Why bother putting the Volvo STCC in the last DLC pack of Grid 1, and then not even bother with trying to get the license in Grid 2? Or did STCC/Volvo just say "no, your game's rubbish, we're not giving you a license for the letter S, deal without that letter."

No one really cares for a Volvo anymore? Not really no one, but not enough popularity. Stick with the times man.

Whether a game is good or not, is opinion, not fact. A game's popularity definitely gives high sales even if it's a 'bad' game.

But popularity... isn't always the most important part of the game. CoD is popular, but, still not an awesome game.

Thing is, look at its sales. Quality is slowly taking a back seat to profits.

I m normally not the person for sarcastic predictions but I m 100% sure this game is gonna be the most stylish piece of rubbish ever. At this point it wouldnt even surprise me if all cars would drive exactly the same except for being faster/slower.

Yes, the game looks way more arcade than the previous one.
No interior view, No official license ( WTCC, DTM ...), Bad liveries ...
I'm really disappointed :grumpy:.
