No worries, all one of the plus points of the community.

I'll not be rushing out to get G2 as there are a few other games out that will hold me more. I'll be doing SP then MP when I do though, SP to get a feel for the handling.

It releases next month, right? I should be free with games around that time, if I ever decide to start playing FC3.

I honestly don't see the problem with drifting. I quite liked it on the original GRID.

Yeah, end of May. You should have time to tackle FC3 before then :sly: Me, I've got Dead Island: Riptide which is going to take quite some time if the first is anything to go by.

Sorry for the off-topic guys.

Oh yeah, I should have it finished by then.

On-topic: I don't know if anybody asked about using wheels, but Grid 2 is gonna support just about all of them. Here's a link.

For the fans near the UK there are seven promo events coming up at the following locations here for an official lock-in.

You'd best get your skates on as it's a first-come-first-in with-the chance basis.

Those who are chosen will get to play the game and ask questions apparently - you'll also be fed ans possibly win goodies.

They did something similar at Battersae Powerstation for Dirt 3.

 Can't believe I didn't notice that sooner. I blame my phone! I can't stop laughing now.

But seriously, this kind of stuff, I don't like it. I want to be able to have a chance as well.

It's a little like all that GT5 NA exclusive stuff, I hated that too.

I don't even like the NA exclusives. :indiff:

GRID 2 already has their pre-order bonus silliness down, I really hope they don't actually pull that.

There's a track in the pre-order bonus for GameStop, and as a former employee of that company, I really don't like that place.

But I want that track.. wonder if one of my boys gonna pre-order.. Lol.

So what preorder things are there? I preordered mine off Amazon UK and am apparently getting Indianapolis, the Dallara IndyCar, the IndyCar pace car (:D), plus Yas Marina and a godawful GT-R. :grumpy:

I hate preorder bonuses :grumpy:

Knowing Codies we'll get them a couple weeks down the line as paid DLC, woot :irked:👍

Right! Guess I'll have to keep depending on one of my boys, because he's gonna be all over Grid 2 like white on rice and I know he's gonna get all DLC for the game.

For those that are following this topic would you recommend this game? I don't mind if it is an arcade or semi-arcade game, as long as it is fun and gets supported for a long time (don't know if this is the case in any Codemasters game since I never played any from them in this generation).

Where do you guys think is the best place to pre-order?

Good sir, that's up to you. Which pre-order bonus you like the most?

I played Grid 1, and I really enjoyed it. So my opinion, if they really don't just completely and utterly F this game up, then I say pick it up. If you're on the fence about it, then rent it first.

I didnt care for the original Grid but it had the Codemasters strengths of graphics and sound, and the replay angles were interesting. If you read/believe the blogs about Grid2, what they do first in the physics is to make the handling as true a representation as they can and then afterwards modify it to be playable by the unwashed gaming hoards.

I'm getting Grid2 as a goodbye present to my trusty ps3. Plus it supports the t500. We shall have to see just how tail happy and oversteery the non-drift cars are. Hopefully not too much.

Wonderful, what better way to promote Multiplayer then to show a "Friend" being taken out

Yeah OMFG cool move, bro. Like, seriously, awesome ramming LOL!

(the facepalm is strong with this one... not only that trailer, but the whole game)

+1

My excitement level when Grid was announced was over 9000, and it's just been a big downhill from there :grumpy:

If I can at least stop all the hideous sliding with the wheel I have, then I'll be fine. I'm just hoping I once again don't come to a game where Only Europe has race circuits while the US has crappy street circuits and Japan has mountainous roads, though so far seeing Indianapolis has given me some hope.
