This thread has been completly derailed by pre orders. If i choose to support the developer than that is my choice end of story.
One day you will pre order video game because it's going to be fake hype created around it. And then it turns out to be total piece of garbage not worth of your time. You will remember this debate here and now.
Only it's going to be late.
You can't 'see' what the handling physics are like.... you don't 'see' what the input is. It needs to be experienced. You also mentioned rFactor, Project CARS, Assetto Corsa and GT6. I'm also looking forward to these..... but they are completely different from Grid 2. They're racing simulators.

I thought I'd just throw the thoughts of TotalBiscuit in here. Not saying I agree or disagree, but just throwing in food for thought and discussion.
anim8r_uk you seriously need to ask yourself if it's all user's fault if we are going that way. Codemasters showed I don't know how many GRID 2 gameplay and I am NOT impressed at all. The internet gave users the chance to see stuff before buying it. Some people thinks there are much better products in the market than GRID 2, and they are looking forward to buying them Day One full price.
Seriosusly we are in 2013 you removed interior views, the physics looks substandard even for an arcade,
how the hell in the World can you expect we all wanting to buy GRID 2 day1 full price when rFactor 2, Project CARS, Assetto Corsa, GT6 are being developed in a total different way?
I see a lot of talk about preordering and not buying the game. Why not just rent it from your local movie rental place or game fly?
Funny, that was just posted yesterday.
ItsAllAboutWinsI just looked over the track and car list. I'm kind of unsettled to not see Long Beach Classic, Washington Sprint, San Francisco, Nurburgring GP. That's just the ones I liked in the eBay class. Uh oh.

That's as of last month. Nurburgring is gonna be in either the 2nd or 3rd DLC pack.
ItsAllAboutWinsI see. Thanks for that! I think every race game comes with Nurburgring now days lol
ItsAllAboutWinsProbably 2-4 cars and 1-2 tracks per dlc. That's a pretty small car list to start with.
Codemasters is a pretty small developer. They usually cycle teams through their Dirt, Grid and Formula 1 franchises.
Around the world, Codemasters employs over 500 people in development and publishing. We have two development studios in the UK one at our Warwickshire HQ with a further site in Birmingham. An additional art studio is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Yes it looks substandard even for an arcade. How are you even saying this? I can understand that it's substandard for a simulator, but an arcade? I don't see what so ever how it goes under the arcade title in the first place.
I'm just saying there are arcade games with crappy physics and arcade games with decent physics. But how can it look substandard for arcade? It's just a rather meaningless tag for a game but are you going to create a third tag then, if it's not arcade?
Yes the physics are probably better in PGR4 (I've played that, not GRID 2) but it's still an arcade game.
The physics of GRID2 - as much as it tends to oversteer - looks fine for an arcade game.I'm just saying there are arcade games with crappy physics and arcade games with decent physics.
