When the mechanic guy says "power out of the slide" he seems to know what he's talking about as this advice helped me quite a bit.

Had my first proper foray in to online Grid 2 racing last night, I quite enjoyed it, won a few races, suffered a few wallops from behind from mindless idiots but overall it was ok...how do I set up rivals?

You can set up rivals through RaceNet if you haven't already signed up.

So I've almost completed season 5, just got a few faceoff and promos to do before the championship final and im wondering..is this the last season? please tell me it isn't!

its taken me almost two weeks to complete this game!, they should have put a lot more content in...it feels like nothing, at least ive still got online to do..

So I figure out a way to trash the people who take you out in corners. 90% of the time I win against their retardation & cause them to spin out.

When they t-bone you in the corner just keep the wheel cut the way you were turning. Either they spin out, eat wall or you hook to their front. Either way they suffer & you laugh.

If you see someone called ExtraSeb, make sure to give them an extra tap on the bumper for me :sly: Last night I was having a great battle with a 320 Touring Car in my Z28 when he takes me out at the last minute  This was an Endurance race so we'd been at it for like five minutes.

I don't know how Grid can call a 5 minute race "endurance".

Just got this game today. First impressions are it's very similar to the original Grid. I prefer the handling of the old Grid more though. The new physics is just too drifty for me, but once you get used to it it's alright. Typical Codemasters "simcade" physics. I haven't unlocked many cars yet so I can't comment on that, but I tried custom races and track diversity seems to be lacking IMO. Oh, and loading screens are soooo frequent in this game. Coupled with the short races I feel like I spend more time watching them than actually driving

I'd say it's a worthy successor to the original Grid, which was the very first game I completed on the PS3 way back in 2009. The atmosphere is similar (unlike the Dirt series which gets progressively less rally oriented with each sequel), but everything is just much more polished.

Unfortunately...it seems I just lost all respect for CM after checking PSN Store. There are already 4 DLCs that are ridiculously overpriced with little content! Obviously they're holding back content that's supposed to be on the disc  Couldn't they at least make it less obvious by releasing them a bit later  And there's not even an all-in-one bundle with cheaper price. Poor taste CM :yuck: 👎 Maybe they will be the next EA...

It's looking more and more that the only racing game developer worth supporting is Polyphony. Sure they never listen to their fanbase, and their games are patchy in consistency. But at least their DLC is actually "add-on" instead of "withold-then-add-on". With Kaz at the helm you can be sure they will never lose their original vision. The rest of the developers on the other hand, only care about $$$ with no respect to customers. Such a sad state the gaming industry is in nowadays...

Half the time DLC is either made after the game is finished & printed or is cut stuff they couldn't finish in time. That's why you get preorder bonuses & early DLC.
lol. It's a bit longer than the regular races, so endurance :sly:
Start up a custom race & set it to a hour. ;) I'll be down for a 12 man 60 minute Endurance race.

Poor Jack Greene. The guy has to be the worst racing driver in history. He only turns up to races to fill a spot.

Compared to some of the people I've raced Online, he's...okay. Nothing special about him, but he's okay in my view. He can drive and has even beaten a few people, I just think he's too slow.

Faceoff and Touge in the Online Playlists I'm in makes me wonder where Harrison Carter and Bruno Silva are when you need them. Come on, WSR; these two deserve a promotion!

Finished the career about a week ago now, and in most games that would be it over. I tried online though, and I'm still playing it! I hate taking most games online, and apart from the waiting (I read between races!) it's actually not too bad. Of course the people constantly crashing can be infuriating, but it is par for the course in racing games.

One thing that I don't like however is the huge blind spots either side of the car. There are no mirrors, and the arrow display disappears once they get alongside you. I know the right stick will look left and right, but not far enough. Most people don't check anyway or are aimed directly at you anyway, but for those trying to race clean it is a real pain. You end up leaving 2 car widths on the inside / outside for them, which they duly avoid in order to make the crash happen.

The impact rating is a joke as well, most people are green / white? I saw one person at Orange, and they were both frigging quick and clean as well! It doesn't seem to place blame, if I have a terrible race for being driven into my rating drops. A clean race later and I'm back to white. Does green therefore indicate "This guy had a tough race last time out, play nice please?".

So, I'd like to tell you something about the DLC; Honestly, 2 of them aren't even "DLC" Packs, there was the "Headstart pack" and "Unlock All Cars" Pack, so honestly there's 2 "DLC" packs, and one of them I and most of my friends got for free with Pre-Order (Which was the 'GTR Racing Pack') And, then the Indy car pack isn't too bad. $6.99 USD isn't that bad, but I understand what you mean.

CM Will not be the next 'EA'. They just want easy money for fools who won't actually play the game for the cars. Personally, I've spent 60$ on this game and have half the DLC. Payed for the game -$60.00 and got one DLC pack for free. NFS Most Wanted I spent like $100 on, that's "EA Status" lmao.

Edit: Also, I've had game since release and love it. Great fun game, and honestly I'm really impressed. I think the Multiplayer was very well done, and the tier system is fantastic. SP Is pretty good, don't have too much time to play this game since I am busy this summer, but currently at 275k-ish fans, and Singleplayer has a good story-line. Young superstar; WSR Champ; Etc. I think they did a good job with this game. & As far as I'm concerned, for SP not having "Performance and complete customization" It worked out well. Custom livery is enough for me, because it would be kinda difficult to implement Performance for the AI Imo. Anyway, out of 10 I'd give this game a 9.2. I absolutely love it.
