Questions is there a signifigant diffrerence in the AWD cars handling VS RWD AND FWD on Grid 2 I havent yet bought any of those been sticking to FWD and RWD

THat really depends on your preference of games my friend.

Well had grid but this has different....... Everything right, had pretty much all ps3 racing games of the past 8 years. Not all at full rrp due to some odd reviews.

Every single car in the game handles differently regardless of drivetrain. The Focus ST that's FWD/GRIP drifts better than most cars in the game. The Corvette is more of a RWD|Balanced car than a RWD|Drift car. Also when you upgrade the cars (online only) they all usually lose some drifting ability. Now that helps some cars like the Charger R/T. OMG it fully upgraded makes it like a car from NFS HP 2010. Drifts so clean.

Cool I am tryin to play more just wasnt sure. Thank you for the info cant wait till I have leveled up enough to get the 300zx the 370 z and the boss mustang ( and the s2000 ) but I am interested in the vett alot of people keep talking about how good it is.

Warning: The 300ZX is extremely weak in Tier 1 & 2. It's a beautiful vehicle & handles the best, IMO, but it has no power or acceleration even when upgraded.

On the Vette, going by it's stat bars it should be max/near max Tier 3 but it's upgrade bar is mid tier 3 like all the others. I think CM were lazy. :/

thats wierd you would think it would be pretty strong since its a late teir 1 car also question can you take a teir 1 car all the way through to the max or eventually will you need to change your car ?

What? You can only upgrade cars to the next Tier (except tier 4 since there's no Tier 5) & online randomly picks Tiers so you'll be constantly changing cars.

Speaking of Tier 4 they really should of had a Tier 5, put the Agera & Veyron in it & allow Tier 4 cars to be upgraded to that tier. Also allow no upgrades for the Agera & Veyron. Those two cars are OP as is & when I saw a + sign next to one in an online game I gave the controller to my BF. I was done.

The Mustang Boss is kind of bleh also. I would keep it in Tier 1 since it'll get raped in Tier 2. Slap some engine & tranny mods on it since the handling ain't bad for a classic muscle car.

If you want a great Tier 1 to Tier 2 car get the Charger R/T. It's an absolute BEAST & becomes a Daytona. 👍

@Everyone: Out of curiosity, what is your favorite track car out of the Caterham SP300R, Ariel Atom, KTM X-Bow and the BAC Mono?

KTM, I was really disappointed with the BAC Mono. It grips initially and then mid corner it feels like a tyre blowout and the rear snaps around. You drive every corner waiting for that inevitable moment... Tier 3, Caterham every time though!

If you upgrade a car to the next tier, can you still use it in the previous tier (and presuming the game will automatically remove some of the upgrades)?

No; it can only be used in the Tier you upgraded it to, and you must remove the upgrades yourself if you want to downgrade the vehicle again.

By the way, my save file crapped out on me (which had me finished Career Mode and at Lv.30 Online with nearly 50 cars unlocked) so I have to start from the beginning again. I'll do it the same as I did last time; just focus on getting Career Mode done and then see how high on an average finishing position I can get Online (I had 2nd for the longest time, I'm going to see if I can hold onto 1st with this save.)

How many fans is finishing career mode? I'm nearing 300k fans just wondering if it "ends". And, also is there a max amount of WSR seasons you go through? Really love how this thread is very active 👍

Looks like I'll have to add Caterham, forgot that's on there as well.

I've actually been surprised, seeing lots of upgr. Tier 1 cars for tier 2. I've seen lots of people using the Alfa Romeo on tight technical tracks on something like Time attack Tier 2.

Also, I can't remember who said it but the tier 5 thing is true. T4 cars should have been able to be upgraded to 5. So far in my eyes though, this game has been a great success. About 3 weeks of release and all of my friends agree; This game is absolutely amazing.

Yeah it does end. You get five seasons and end up with far more than 300,000 fans :sly:

Anybody else feel there's a handicap for higher level drivers online? I feel like my cars handle a bit worse every time I re-enter the game (usually after levelling up 5 or so levels in a previous session). The mechanical damage seems more pronounced too. Might explain why higher level drivers struggle to keep up with good players who are still low level.

I thought as much, only I saw someone enter an Alfa Romeo Giuletta into a Tier 2 event immediately before entering a Tier 1 event in the same car! Perhaps they quit very quickly to take some upgrades off.

I personally like my cars to grip and drive, but 80% of the cars slide round even the slightest corners. I use the Cruze touring car in Tier 2 at the moment, but it suffers not being able to upgrade it. Might try the BMW touring car instead to see if I can get more corner speed out of it, being rear wheel drive.

The grid is normally reverse grid based on level, so as your level gets relatively higher, you will have to pass more opponents... Which normally involves a number of time costing crashes!

They probably had no Tier 1 cars since they upgraded the Alfa out of the tier & since you need a car to race the game gives you a car. The loaner cars are as followed if you own no cars in that tier.
Tier 1: Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde
Tier 2: Dodge Challenger SRT8 392
Tier 3: Honda NSX R
Tier 4: Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722

All come with a 50% reduction is earnings. 👍

Hey guys, made a thread for GTP Organized GRID 2 events, just click the link in my sig or go to the GRID part of GTP forum. Enjoy guys

That's true, but a couple of times I started near the front and got off scott free, I still feel my car doesn't handle like it used to be. I'm a pretty consistent driver, so I'm sure it's not just in my head. I just can't brake as late and maintain a drift as easily. There's more understeer somehow. I haven't upgraded my cars so it can't be that. Also, when you get a piece of debris stuck in front of your car your speed drops dramatically on the straights. I never had that happen when I was below level 15.

After splashing the cash on testing T2 cars i found a Skyline roaster, took over a second off my nismo time at BIXBY PASS which puts me 4th world on racenet 144.319 and there's still more in it.

Finally reached season 5 on career and oh boy, those T4 cars are hard to control. I can't play any race without crashing against every well, the only few cars that I was able to control was Bac Mono and the 2 GT3 cars.

What in the world are u talking about there is no such thing as a skyline roadster are you talking about the 370z

I think you miss read me, i said skyline roaster not roadster,as in something to beat the skyline. At T2 the golfs or alfas are good for smaller tighter tracks but on big open roads and big tracks the skyline nismo was king until now. The car in question is RWD POWER the Camaro SS, Its hard to handle but has the legs on the skyline.
