I'm not so sure about the RS200 and Dallenbach being clear cut winners, I've been in a fair few pro-tours and beaten everyone in a Dallenbach using a Z4M. The RS200 is only that good if the driver is careful, you certainly can't push it flat out round corners like most other rallycross cars.

The only true dominant car I would say is the Stadium Truck, anyone can drive that fast.

The RS200 and Dallenbach are the fastest and there's no doubting it, the different between them is they're not drive themself fast (though the Dallenbach isn't terribly difficult compared to other 'Blazers but none of them are easy for a noob), they still take some sort of skill element. A good player in a slower car will still beat a bad driver regardless what they're in and that's why you beat those Dallenbachs despite the undoubted speed advantage they should have.

If you're in any doubt check the leaderboards for those vehicle sets, even on tracks they're not made for.

Example:
Kasbah Run Rallycross cars, of the top 50, 4 are not RS200s.
Same track Trailblazers, the ENTIRE top 50 is Dallenbachs, I'm the 3rd highest none Dallenbach there and I'm 98th in an Evo IX of all cars.

However take Rally on the same track and the Top 10 is 3 350Zs, 4 Group Ns and 3 Evo Xs. Obviously the leaderboards will be full of the quickest car, but the Dallenbach and RS200 are noticeably faster, the RS200 less so and it may be no easier to drive and may not be massively faster but it is faster nonetheless.

All of that said, for variety this just further proves that Rally cars are the best as you can have more on the grid which will run closely and that's one more reason why I always stick by them.

Guys.... Lewis Dragilton, Fernaldo Alonso and Jarno Trolli are on just now.
Come join us...

Woo, I actually won something this time! Those were some good races guys, if a bit crazy. I was SO close to beating Dragonistic in the last series, but I lost by one race. Oh well, it was still really fun. :D

I had one race where I wasn't flat out wrecked by someone.

.... and I wrecked my self.

Yea, I had such bad luck on the third race it was unreal, I was 24 seconds behind before I even finished lap 1! It was good being pushed to the end though, it's not often someone comes close to me over a whole series and I geniunely thought my run was finally over.
. Good racing overall as well by all, even Fernaldo made some clean overtakes!

Edit: And Cale that was such a shame, you were about 1.7 ahead of me and if I'd have caught you passing you would've been a whole other game and I don't think I could've made it.

I was passed for second at the same time, caught them back and pulled away by 2 seconds. I think I was catching you slightly at the end but I think it was because of lapped traffic.

EDIT: Hopefully tomorrow I can put together a streak of strong finishes. I know I'm capable of at least 3rd every time but I just can't do it.

Yea I had some lapped traffic and saw the gap so slowed it down (plus customary E brake finish ). Yourself, Sweet and Talon have plenty of pace to give me a hard time, particularly if I get caught in the mid-pack, Aldo can run a decent pace also if he stops messing around for 5 minutes .

On another note, Sweet in the Z4 flies off the line it's ridiculous! That car has a serious launch which gets him out of trouble and gives him a good chance to win alot of races whilst other quick guys are caught in the inevitable first turn/jump mess.

It's such a beast when you hold it just below the limiter. Shame it isn't so stable in bumpy corners, I was catching you towards the end of Baja but we hit some near flat-out corners and the car just bounced around and I spun out.

Yea, that's the major downside of the Z4, it's incredibly unstable on the bumps but I suppose that's a sacrifice in exchange for the great launch and acceleration which make it a serious threat to me on all races if I can't get away cleanly (which I rarely do).

can't wait to join in the mayhem. :P you'll probably have to forgive me for the first couple races especially if it's on course I haven't raced yet. But should be a week from today or so. :)

SSSSHHHHHHH why did you tell people? :scared:

That'show I always get out front too. Only to be spun.

I knew the Z4 (and 350Z) are quick off the line, Sweet just uses the Z4 particularly regularly my poor Impreza has no chance of getting off the line like that and the other car I regularly lose definately doesn't (Escort).

Nah, the game puts names above cars so it's easy to identify people, also the leaderboard will obviously tell you who is infront and behind.

We don't really have single make races as we pretty much always use Rally cars and everyone has their preferences. If we are playing some demolition derby however usually everyone uses a Hummer H3.

Your welcome. :P It really was fun trying to chase you down, and I'm surprised I kept up for as long as I did. You are crazy fast in that Impreza, I don't know how you do it.

Thanks 👍 I think it's just practice and my lines, from day 1 on the Dirt 2 demo I was pretty good at this game. For some reason me and the Ego engine just gel together extremely well, it's not like I've only got good recently seeing as most of my non-podium finishes are recently due to spending alot of time on Rallycross, Raid and Landrush (tracks not cars).

Yep. You can't mix up different classes and you can't have a different class for each different race during the series but you could race anything anywhere.

This, but it's worth adding you can't do that in Pro Tour online, only in Jam Sessions (Unranked though you still get XP, or FP I should say, for challenges). Allowing you race any vehicle set on any track you like to often catastrophic effect .

Also, I'm free most of the day so I'll be on or available to come on a fair amount.

Good few races earlier with Jarno Trolli and Sweet (F1 names for Sweet are way harder to come up with!).

I got back in my Escort today and I'm still fractionally quicker lap for lap compared to myself in the Group N, we're talking 0.2 at most over a minute lap, but of course there's a higher risk of things going wrong either on my own or being collected by someone else. I still don't know which I prefer, but so long as the racing stays good and clean (or not if we're doing 'smashy smashy' as Sweet says) then it's all good, winning isn't everything after all.

Haha, I did wonder earlier how you guys would get round my complex username.

Anyone up for some Demolition Derby now?

I think I've already passed through the Demo Derby phase, I only find it entertaining when there's a couple of people on the headsets (usually Trolli and Fernaldo) who are there to lol with me, otherwise I remain all stone-faced.
