Tonight's matches:

* UCF at Florida International
* Wake Forest at Boston College

I have interest in the South Carolina at Georgia game. If Georgia loses, their only National Championship hopes (not saying they have a chance) will have to come by winning the SEC Championship. South Carolina has sort of the same kind of "must-win" aspiration if they are to become the powerful team in the SEC. However, the stakes seem much greater for Georgia even though South Carolina is a better team.

[UPDATE] Scores from Thursday:

* Florida Atlantic at East Carolina (31-13; EAST CAROLINA)
* Sacramento State at Arizona State (55-0; ARIZONA STATE)

I know the FAU at ECU game was already mentioned, but I just wanted to post this as an update.

UCF shut out FIU 38-0, BC with a 24-10 win over Wake.

Ohio State has SDSU tomorrow, who are always upset-capable. Hoping to see a stronger showing from the buckeye D.

Also interested to see how Buffalo fairs against Baylor after their game in Columbus. Agreed, SC vs Georgia will be pivotal for both teams. Going to be a good weekend.

Good luck to all of your teams this weekend. Some of many upcoming matches:

* Florida at Miami
* Cincinnati at Illinois
* Oklahoma State at Texas-San Antonio

Enjoy some college football!

I should report this inappropriate and offensive image.

however i'll admit they are playing well tonight, and I honestly would have no problem seeing them take down the Irish.

Let me share some brief notes from this past Saturday...

* Bitter-sweet 42-7 win for Ohio State; Braxton Miller injured.

* Houston's AAC debut successful- 22-13 victory at Temple.

* Georgia beats South Carolina at home to the tune of a 41-30 win. Both teams are 1-1 to start the season.

* #17 Michigan takes down #14 Notre Dame 41-30.

* Miami upsets #16 Florida 21-16 at home.

* #15 Texas fails on the road at BYU, losing 40-21. Yikes!

* Nichols State trounced by Oregon State; fights back by stunning Western Michigan at WMU, 27-23.

* Washington State takes down the #25 USCal Trojans in a low-scoring 10-7 affair in Los Angeles.

And here are a handful of stunners outside of NCAA FBS-level football:

* Tuskegee (NCAA Div. 2) beat down Alabama A&M 23-7.

* St. Joseph's (of Indiana; NCAA Div. 3(?)) defeats Valparaiso 34-31.

* Massachusetts fell to one of their former NCAA FCS foes- Maine won 24-14 at Massachusetts.

That's all.

An interesting weekend of College Football. We saw some close ones and we also we seen some upsets. Ranked teams have started to fall even more. :boggled:

Here are some quick hits of this past weekends games.
*sorry for any re-posts that John may have mentioned*

The unranked Miami Hurricanes topple interstate rival #12 Florida Gators 21-16.
The 11th ranked Georgia Bulldogs take one away from #6 South Carolina 41-30.
Unranked BYU lays one on the #15 team Texas Longhorns 41-20.
#17 Michigan tops #14 Notre Dame in a close one 41-30.
#25 USC suffers a loss to unranked Washington State 10-7.
#21 Wisconsin pitches it's second straight shut-out. 48-0 over Tennessee Tech. (B1G watch alert on this team ?)
#2 Oregon manhandled Virginia 59-10.
#23 Baylor rolls over the Buffalo Bulls 70-13.
#22 Nebraska easily over Southern Miss. 56-13.
#19 Nortwestern over the Orange men of Syracuse 48-27. (another B1G alert team ?)
#4 Clemson handles S. Carolina State easily 52-13
#24 TCU rolls past SE Louisiana 38-17.
#8 Louisville stomps past interstate team E. Kentucky 44-7
#9 LSU rolls over UAB 56-17.
#5 Stanford cleans up on San Jose State 34-13.

*Week 2 of the Buckeye Blitz*

Unranked San Diego State rolls into Columbus Ohio with aspirations of knocking off the #3 ranked team, The Ohio State Buckeyes.
It was not meant to be. OSU sends San Diego back to California on a dis-heartening note by the score of 42-7.

First off : Braxton Miller suffered a knee sprain just 3 minutes into the game. The leaves the game on the shoulders of back-up QB Kenny Guiton. (IMO), the best back-up QB in the nation.
Miller was sent back into the locker rooms for observation and was said to be fine. Coach Meyer made a statement that Miller could have returned, but for safety sake they will rest him up and not take a chance of furthering the injury.
Miller will be good to go this up-coming weekend as the Bucks head out to California to take on Cal. Golden Bears. ;)

Defensively speaking, the Bucks "D" performed quite well. A lot of improvement was seen over what they showed last week against Buffalo. Looking good. 👍

Overall, they are starting to look like a top tier ranked team now. Can or will they keep it up ?

The Bucks jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the 1st quarter ..... never to look back.
*Dontre Wilson 7 yd. run... xp ... 7-0 Bucks*
*Corey (Philly) Brown 27 yd. TD pass from Guiton ... xp ... 14-0 Bucks*
*Jordan Hall 4 yd. run ... xp ... 21-0 Bucks*

They tacked on 14 more in the 2nd quarter ... 35-0 at the half.
*Guiton 44 yd. TD run ... xp ... 28-0 Bucks*
*Rod Smith 1 yd. run ... xp ... 35-0 @ the break*

Both OSU and SDSU added a TD in the 3rd ... 42-7 after 3 qtrs.
*Corey (Philly) Brown 24 yd. TD pass from Guiton ... xp ... 42-0 Bucks*
*Chad Young 2yd. TD pass from Quinn Kaehler ... xp ... 42-7 Bucks*

4th quarter ... lay down time

Final The Ohio State Buckeyes 42 - The San Diego State Aztecs 7.

With this win, it now extends the Nations longest winning streak to 14 games.

Good to know that Braxton Miller will be okay. THE Ohio State can't afford to have Braxton Miller on the shelf with any season-ending injury, let alone through the meat of Big Ten play.

Yeah ... whew !

There is an "unconfirmed" rumor going around that Coach Meyer may rest Miller in the upcoming Cal game and just leave it all up to Guiton. Just for the reason you have stated ..... "before B1G play commences". Not to cut on Kenny (he is a great back-up), and I think Guiton could hold his own in B1G play, but I'd rather see Miller at the helm.

KG can handle Cal, I wouldn't be opposed to Meyer resting Braxton one more game. Nice to have the best back up in college football :)

Also, dumb play of the night right here.

Devin-Gardner-Pick-6.gif

That straw almost broke the camels back. Give credit to the Wolverines for bouncing back from that one.

Lets Play - What drugs was Eminem on?

 Uuuuum .... Michigans best homegrown ?

He claims this...
"live TV freaks me out a little bit."

I love the reactions of Kirk Herbstreit.

USC news - is Lane Kiffin on the hot seat ?

Two games into the 2013 season, there are two words that perfectly describe the state of the USC football program.

They are two words that echoed through the bowels of the Coliseum late Saturday night, two words chanted by thousands of voices, two words illustrating how a loyal and sunny crowd have been drenched in anger and hopelessnesss.

"Fire ... Kiffin."’

:nervous: Full article

Also, the sooner Kiffin gets fired, the better.

I think a lot of people are missing Pete Carroll right about now. This is not your typical USC team. What is going on out there in So. Cal. ? They have the talent. The QB position is questionable, but still !!!

I read that fire lanes all over LA have had the word "Kiffin" spray painted under them. Nice touch.

I can't imagine anyone would want that quitterhead coach anywhere near their team.

Kyle Field. College Station, Texas. #1 Alabama Crimson Tide. #6 Texas A&M Aggies. The biggest heavyweight fight of the season is this Saturday afternoon at 3:30 PM Eastern. This will be "Johnny Football's" biggest challenge so far this season. It's going to be a big one in Aggieland this weekend.

That is going to be a most interesting game indeed !
*jumps on the A&M bandwagon* ... *go go Johnny*

Oklahoma State football may be screwed. Either it's a bunch of propaganda, or this may be a serious issue that could put Oklahoma State in some hot water. What do you make of this?

*** breathing a huge sigh of relief ***

When I first seen this article, I was on my Droid RAZR. The article I read simply said :
"OSU is under investigation". I was thinking just 🤬 great, more 🤬 scandal / investigation at OSU. It wasn't until a few sentences into the article where it came out and said Oklahoma State University (OSU). I felt life come back into me after seeing the clarification.

As far as the actual article is concerned, it will be interesting to see what may get uncovered.

Here are a few random games that may be of interest this up-coming weekend.

As John noted - #6 Texas A&M will host #1 Alabama
#20 Wisconsin heads out to Arizona State
#17 Northwestern will host Western Michigan
#11 Michigan will play host to Akron U.
#16 UCLA will head out to #23 Nebraska
#5 Stanford will go to the Army
#7 Louisville will take on anther interstate team, Kentucky
Tennessee goes West to face off against #2 Oregon
Tulsa takes on #14 Oklahoma
#19 Washington goes into Illinois to take on the Fighting Illini
Last but not least, The #4 Buckeyes make a road trip out to California to take on the Cal. Golden Bears. As far as Braxton Miller is concerned ... he is day to day. We could very well see Kenny Guiton running this team this up-coming weekend.

A request for Coach Meyer : please rest Braxton Miller .... please. We need him for the meat of the up-coming schedule. Guiton can handle Cal.

Should be a good weekend of College Football. Who may fall this weekend ?

I can't imagine anyone would want that quitterhead coach anywhere near their team.

I'm not really unhappy at all about Pete Carroll right now...

--

We had a bye this past weekend. Looking forward to this week's game!

Tonight's games (or some of them):

* #24 TCU at Texas Tech (ESPN)
* Troy at Arkansas State (ESPNU)
* Tulane at Louisiana Tech
* Chadron State at West Texas A&M (CBS Sports Network)

Nothing like a Thursday night with college football on the tube! Thursday night in college football is like Monday night in pro football.

Good luck to all your teams this weekend.

Your 19th ranked Huskies should be alright this weekend. They get to go to Illinois and take on the Fighting Illini. You should come out of there @ 2-0, and maybe break up higher into the rankings.

Tonight's games (or some of them):

* #24 TCU at Texas Tech (ESPN)

Good luck to all your teams this weekend.

Watching this one now. Unranked / 2-0 Texas Tech. is leading the 1-1 24th ranked TCU Horned Frogs (with their purple chrome helmets) at the half ... 10-0.

Indeed, good luck to all of your team(s) this weekend. 👍

===========

FINAL - unranked and now 3-0 Texas Tech have unseated the #24th ranked team 20-10. This now puts TCU at 1-2 and may keep them out of the rankings for the remainder of the season. Should Texas Tech deserve to be ranked now ? I think so.
