otakukid96I'm up for whatever, just as long that all driving aids are allowed. That is how every event on this site should be.
AfrodeezyWhy? Some aids are okay, but Skid recovery, active steering, and ASM are completely unnecessary. I understand that the beginners may need the game to hold their hand with assists, but if you've been playing GT5 for a while, you really shouldn't need the game to "baby" you around the track.

Yes. I might not allow srf or any of that.
ASM has been a car-killer ever since forever, that won't change. I have never used AS, but SRF can shave up to 10 seconds on the 'Ring, despite being completely ridiculously unrealistic. I always use SRF ALWAYS, just because it makes me faster.
otakukid96Why? I don't understand why people hate those who use driving aids. Are you guys gonna be harmed personally if you are polite and let others use their preferred driving set up?

otakukid96So that's one reason people hate them? They make you faster? I guess that just means everyone who bans them may be sore losers. Sorry for thread jacking, but if you see me asking what room settings are in a thread like this, it would just be easier to end up allowing them.
Because those aids make it TOO easy, with no challenge. I'm not being mean, I just want a level playing field. Part of the fun is the whole risk factor that If you spin out once it can make your race a lot harder. All of these aids make it impossible to spin, and give those who use them way too much of an advantage. So to answer your question, yes, I will be harmed personally.
Exactly. Completely unfair advantage. This is why those aids shouldn't be allowed
No, you missed the point. Was the Chapperal 2J banned because of it's unfair advantage? No.
gamerdog6482IRL almost all race cars have traction control and anti-lock brakes, hell most street cars have it, too.

otakukid96Right, which doesn't make any sense to ban driving aids in the game.
What racing cars drive with that stuff?
otakukid96Actually, you can still spin out if using SRF, which is what I use along with TCS, ABS, and the Driving Line. I don't care about the rest of them. Also, another unnecessary double post.

otakukid96I don't know but I'm sure that race cars based off of road cars like those used in the IRL 24 hours of Nurburg have it.
gamerdog6482By that you mean nothing is going to change your opinion that they are unfair.
And if you don't want the disadvantage, why don't you use them yourself?

gamerdog6482I will take offense from that, and they are there, so why not use them?
And why did you triple-post?
Also, I shouldn't have to conform because others need the game to hold their hand....
