Locoman88 and venomdog24986 are immature, childish, and petty. They believe that no one can question their opinions.

I came this close to reporting that, consider yourself lucky I didn't. Next time I will.
As for the thread, I almost definitely will be able to make Sunday now, but nothing is certain.

What a great way to get banned from the competition.

Hi, I posted here, to help you out, with your ridiculous attempt at a competition.

I notice, though, that locoman88 has taken most of my advice, but, will never admit to it.

However, I have never had -and never will have- intentions of racing with you.

Yea if he's no going to participate,he should stop being a jack ass. So everyone likes the new solution?
@mrmelanochy,what advice did I take

Why not? SSGTs are awesome anyway. Just to be clear, you are saying that racers will be given an extra point for not using SRF or Active Steering, yes?

Correct.umm, let's see, no srf,no active steering,no driving line.
Tc is available. And an extra 3 points, no matter what position.

The main reason I came here in the first place, was to ask why you were hosting a racing series in the marketplace. :dopey:  :indiff: :ill: :guilty: :yuck: :grumpy: :nervous: :scared:

If you're too petty to even realize that "hey, this is in Racing Series" forum section, now, then you're also too petty to give me credit for reminding you to move the thread.

That's kinda confusing. So you will only allow TCS? I may be able to live without SRF but I can never get braking right, so I need the line.

Well if you would see the gear that flashes red,you can kind of predict when to brake

Well sorry.. damn.

I haven't driven without the line on in GT5 ever. It really isn't faster times, it doesn't make any modifications to the performance of the car.

Right, but now that I think about it, it isn't that reliable for some parts, but is still good to have.

ABS is allowed even in leagues that don't allow Aids. You need it on 1, otherwise you have to brake super early

This is news to me. I've outbraked people using ABS, without ABS. It's a risk, though, if the rain comes.

Interesting. I just feel like I slide around too much with no ABS, but that's just me

Try not to double-post, and I stand by my objection to the no driving line rule.
Sorry, not used to multi quote on my phone quite yet

Edit: driving line doesn't bother me (even though I never use it), but if you allow it, give us notice in advance of the track/car combination so those who don't use the line can actually learn the proper lines through corners in practice.

Braking in a straighter line works for this. Also, I like being able to avoid skidding on corner entry, as modulating the brake pressure is easier without ABS, rather than with.

I'll try to adapt eventually. Do you think this can lead to faster lap times? If not, I may just stick to my guns and run all aids off w/ABS on 1

I see no negligable difference between it, in lap times. However, as I'm used to driving (in real life) with no ABS, I can better control 0 ABS than 1 ABS. I've never had to swerve or anything, while braking, with an ABS equipped car.

The difference, then, that I notice, is tire life; braking late with ABS, doesn't stop you from locking up, it just makes a computer release the brake on that wheel, meaning that you don't notice that you're braking too late, and you'll simply lose tire life, after braking a few feet too late, lap after lap, with no significant gain in lap times.

I'll have to give it a try when I'm by my ps3 then!
