Complaining about free content

Ok, so you got this game during the nice price offensive for 29 €/$/£, or even 19.

And you are constantly showered with more free cars and updates. It’s not always your dream come true, but bitching about it, REALLY?

Just look at iracing: Wanna compete in this series? Need the car and the tracks, bro. It’s 12$ per car and just 15$ per track, by the way. Oh and the subscription, by the way, too.

Be grateful for once that we’re getting new stuff to try out every month! And one day the White Elephant may even come (anyone say Spa??)

Everyone is entitled to have his or her opinion, you see it a "bitching about it" easyer to just agree to disagree there will be people that are Happy with new content and there will be moaners, in Life not everyone will have the same tought or opinion as you do. There always will be moaners who want to see their preffered cars and tracks come to the game, if the update contains something else than they expected the moaning starts.

If you're complaining about video game content, chances are you lead a pretty good life. 👍

Besides, complaining is like 50% of internet content. It's a part of reality. If you were to go to a website and all you see is positive things, the 1st thing you think is, this must be fake.

Game wasn't worth 70 euros on launch though, right now I'd say GTSport is what it should have been on launch

Also, one day another Nissan may even come.

Feel moaning here is kept to a good degree unlike some other places *cough Raimi suit * cough

Yes, REALLY! I'm sick of having to download free cars all the time, free DLC is so last season, they should pay me at least £1 for each free car I am being forced download.

I remember one guy saying that its not free since he payed for the game.

IMO the content is fine, could be better but it's pretty good. My main beef with the game right now are the terrible tire model and the stupid driver hand/arm animation when using cockpit view.

I think the counter argument runs something along the lines of - the cars/tracks PD are (slowly) releasing each month should have been included in the initial release.

Personally, I didn't buy GTS until a couple of months ago precisely because the initial track and car offering was (arguably) anemic, because there was little or no "campaign" and they had eliminated variable weather/time.

Didn't KAZ himself promise that GTS would have every feature ever included in GT?

I am happy with the continued support and reasonably happy with the content. My gripe with the content is that the vast majority are rehashed cars from GT6 while there are very few cars genuinely new. They're are too many relevant contemporary cars missing which are present in other games. Then there are the series iconic cars.

The monthly updates are something I always look forward to, and when I see the silhouettes appear on Twitter it is a great feeling. Hopefully 2019 will see PD fill many of the gaps and move GTS on a step.

Roll on 17 January.

Happy New Year! :cheers::lol::gtpflag:

Because Polyphony is a shell of their former existence.
Just kidding, that was a quote from SirCreepsAlott, a passionate GT Sport hater.

I like free stuff but this new update for me will be a disapointment because I want some racecars.

Where is my F2007, F10, GTOne, R390 GT1, CLK LM, Mclaren F1 GTR 95 and 97.

Oh well for people who are excited for the new update im happy for you.

I think a year later people should know what to expect.

I remember people complaining about the VGT program in GT6.

Buy your products armed with the knowledge of what it entails and what future support is.

You know you get about 9 cars every month or so and a track.

Not every car will suit everyones' tastes. Not every track suits peoples' expectations.

Its pot luck. I'm happy they do this... I also have an 'expectaiton' they do this... I bought this game knowing that they would support it for about the same time as GT6 so if that's 'entitlement' to you then I'm ok with it.

I feel their strategy with this game was faulty at the start. Its hard to justify a full priced game with that amount of tracks cars events etc. Its hard to sell you game on coming future content. its a leap of faith.

That isnt the customers' fault is it?

I'm just loving every content update that this game is getting whether it's cars that are new to the series, premium converted cars, or even GT6 carryovers. Every time Kaz tweets out the silhouette pic, it gets me excited on what new cars we're getting. Tracks-wise I'm down for anything whether it would be a variation of an existing track, an iconic track, a real track, and more.

And this pretty much describes what I feel for every content update. Relaxing and enjoying the contents we're getting from those monthly updates.
Bring on January 17. :)

Though that's true, I don't think many of us would still be around if we had all of that content from the start. Ironically this slow drip release of content has kept people more engaged with the product longer than a simple disc release. I'm honestly thankful for the way the game has developed as I can easily take a hiatus for a month playing completely different games and then come back with a new set of cars and a couple new tracks.

I've already milked my $60 worth of time from the game everything now is just a bonus.

Complaining is all part of human nature. You can't release something to the public and expect them not to find something to complain about.

Some people, myself included, didn't buy the game at launch and have only been convinced to do so by the steady stream of decent DLC and gameplay updates since. These days you also have to compare the 'free' stuff with the quality and quantity of what rivals churn out. If Need for Project Forza III provides regular monthly updates of stuff that gets you salivating each time it's announced and GT Sport just doesn't, it's easy to feel aggrieved and short changed, even if what's been offered by PD is free.

People like to complain I guess, the problem is when people become really entitled because they're behind the keyboard. It's likely they're a LOT worse on the internet than reality. I assume they're quite honest normal people in reality. People that act differently on the internet than reality need to grow up. In my opinion, of course. Unless they really are 12, in which case they'll hopefully understand one day.

"But its just the internet".
