Completely remodeled cars?

I seem to remember reading this in a few places before release, but is it really true? So many of the models are so exactly the same as their FM3 counterparts that it hurts. Could even trace it back a little further with some of them. If all the cars are completely remodeled, how come for example some of the things that were wrong with the original models are still the same?

Good example would be, the 2007 Sentra SE-R Spec V. I had a real one, so in FM3 I used it a lot, but had a lot of gripes such as the gauges being too tiny and the body color-matched antenna on the roof. Interior is exactly the same in FM4 and the antenna is still an awkward body colored extension.

How come the cars that can have aero parts are nine times out of ten only the older models, and are still the same outdated ones, some from companies that aren't even around anymore.

Why are some of the painting glitches still in the same spots on the same cars in the livery editor?

Countless other small things as well that say the contrary to "all cars have been remodeled." Of course, maybe I just read that wrong and no one ever claimed that.

Another good example is the Mazda Axela and the Mazdaspeed 3. They're absolutely identical in real life except for the bumpers and grille, but in-game the Axela model is all disproportionate and inaccurate while the Mazdaspeed 3 looks normal. The Axela also has a few paint mapping problems.

Not to mention the R34's interior is wrong. The Computer on the dash (On with Turbo Gauges) is WAY to small. It's disproportionate to the entire car.

I am just trying to say that in comparison to FM3. To claim all the cars were completely remade and not ported over seems to be a joke. There's even still a strange white line on the front bumpers you add to the Eclipse GT.

Mazdaspeed RX8 has the facelift R3 headlights and the new bumpers are available as upgrades. May as well have made it the R3 to start with going to that effort.

Well, it could be worse. You could be playing Gran Turismo 5, in which 80% of its cars were recycled from last-gen hardware and didn't even have even a generic black cockpit until a year after release. At least 100% of FM4 car models look like they're actually running on a current-gen platform.

Oh right, I forgot we were talking about Gran Turismo.

Oh snap. Sorry, that's all I can contribute. My car is a near perfect match to the game. Some of the idiot lights are visible in the game but not noticeable unless actually on IRL.

A car is a car, so how can you re model an F40 for example? It is what it is.

They didnt re model every car and i didnt expect them to. But they DO look better than in FM3 wih the lighting etc.

And also Dan G makes Peter Moyleneux look modest with his boasts and fairytale big ups. But thats his job and he does it very very well.

As someone said they were no where near as lazy as PD with GT5.

Because some of the proportions of cars are wrong and have been wrong since FM2, So you can remodel them, correctly.

There's some cars that have been wrong for what seems like all of the forza series now, a good example would be the R32 skyline or the Honda S2000.
