I thought about taking the safe option and just bringing the points home, but after some enjoyable laps on the Northlander (cracking track Omnius 👍👍) i'm going for the win and the endurance tripple!!

Game on Dowlin.

Cheers Geordie! :D

GT Flaw
How's the lap times going?
275bhp,1260kg and no aero. My best yet is 2:35.5xx

Not improved yet. Hoping to get on in half an hour. Running the same at the se up at the moment.

2:40 here! The only thing I've found to make my Clio consistant, is biting the bullet and increasing the weight to allow for a 50/50 weight...sure it allows me 286 BHP, but will it make a difference with all that extra weight???

Grid for tonight...

1st - trotterlover79
2nd - Arieracer
3rd - H_enry_T
4th - OmniusALX
5th - KingBestJr
6th - Third_Reign
7th - ade3210
8th - jammy_rex
9th - FuelmyFire
10th - Hillracing
11th - geordie139
12th - Dowlin39

:D

I can think of a few, maybe a change of line is necessary... Can anyone take turn 1 flat? >.>

I added weight too Omnius :)

QUOTE OF THE SEASON 👍

Well done Geordie, season champ :)👍 That was a good recovery drive from you. I saw you spin behind me when we were battling and you came back really well from that.

As for me, I was very grumpy after the first lap again...:grumpy: I know it was not your fault Dowlin, but I'm just gutted that for the 2nd race in succession with heavy damage in effect, I get taken out on the first lap of the race, which then pretty much wrecked it for me and gave me a very lonely race. My car was undriveable so had no option but to pit. From the replay I see that Fuel tapped you, not sure if that put you into the spin or just you going on the grass meant you lost control and sideswiped me.:nervous:

I am glad, for my own sake, that heavy damage is gone for next season. I just don't seem to get the luck in these endurance races.

Anyway, thanks all for a great season... apart from the last two races, it's been awesome!

👍👍

Maybe next season, I will just start at the back of the grid each race so at least I have a chance of getting around the first lap cleanly? 💡;)

Thanks again Omnius for putting so much effort into the series and making it so enjoyable for everyone :cheers: Also these tracks you design are pretty damn cool, nice one! 👍

Congrats to Geordie, and also to Omnius for creating an awesome season for us all. The endurance races have been everything you can expect from a real enduro. I think I share Jammys view on the damage, and I too am glad it will be gone next season. I could not keep with the pace in tonights race, and I dont know where the front runners found 6 seconds on the track. I got biten several time at "Ades favorite chicane", and also the left hander after that. I also got hungry during the race, and had to rely on my kids bringing me sweets and nuts to get a quick munch break in whilst driving. Lookin forward to the Suzuka Enduro next week, and also to the next season in the new year. Big thanks to Omnius for all his efforts.👍👍👍👍👍👍

Cheers for the support Jammy & Ade!

I know it may come across as your race has been wrecked, but it's never on purpose, comes down to pure luck, unless you know how to put your car out of harms way (not always easy if you're leading at the first turn!)

I've found over the time I've ran and been involved in online racing, it really pays off if you can resist the urge to go for it out of the blocks, chances are someone will have an accident, you've just got to pick your time, and at least be there.

Granted we all want to get a good start and pull away, I guess we all have to be aware of the dangers, but prehaps the risks are worth it?

Anyway, as you say, no more heavy damage next season, and looking at your pace Jammy, I think you'll have a good shout in the next one 👍

Timetable comming this weekend :D (along with a few highlights ;) )

I know it's not on purpose Omnius. I suppose I'm just a bit gutted that I haven't had the chance to race with the pack and get involved with the banter etc over the past two races as much as I would have liked, just because of my first lap mishaps. I agree and think it's important to try and get around the first lap as cleanly as possible - the race is not won on the first lap but can easily be lost. I am trying to work out whether I put myself in these positions or if there is anything I could do different, but short of starting at the back I don't think there is!

I don't mean to come across all negative; you wouldn't believe how much I look forward to these races!!! I know I'm not the fastest or experienced by a long chalk, but I think I'm able to mix it at least and that's really what I want out of this!

Again, thanks for making it all possible! :-)

Oh I can't remember if I officially put my name down for next week's race-is there still room on the grid? Hope so as I'd love to take part!

I didn't touch anyone :s but I had great fun again and I'm well chuffed with 3rd overall :D. Looking foward to another great season!

200 miles around the legendary Suzuka! - 2hr Endurance Race 👍

Omnius, may I sign up for this race?

Please?

The only reason I asked that because I had serious trust issues with that car's perfomance. Though it was fast as hell through the corners, its lightness paid heavily as I LOST SPEED DURING STEEP(er) HILLS!

Though yeah, never underestimate my brains power to screw meself over when its tired nd/or 1am.

I would also like to take place in that event. Im gonna get my HSV on :sly:

Btw, that cat picture, right up there, is SO damn cute!

Going to have a bit of Suzuka practice later, and will post my car choice on the thread. Some lap times would be good.

Also next Saturday sees the last Mini Madness event. Just for fun. There are 4 grid places left if anyone wants a bit of fun in classic Mini Coopers. Sorry for the shameless plug Omnius.:sly:👍

Well the season finale certainly lived up to expectations, there was abit of everything in there including 3 dumb-ass crashes from me within the first 10 laps, all requiring a pit stop :dunce::dunce: Why make things easy eh??

After my first off i figured, with plenty laps left,i'd be able to get back up to the 4th place i needed but i pushed too hard, ran wide and picked up more damage, all the time watching dowlin make his way through the field.:nervous:

After my 3rd off,out braking myself into the final downhill hairpin, i honestly thought i'd thrown it all away but got my head down and got a good steady pace goin averaging low 2:36's.Quick enough without taking huge risks.
With all my bad luck/driving out of the way i somehow made it back up to 2nd place so it just goes to show it's always worth pushing till the end,you never know what might happen.

Also I have to echo others comments and say a big thanks to Omnius for taking the time to put such a successful series together 👍👍

We were all experiencing this issue Henry, the speed just fell away on the incline...

Ah that's great! Um, what are the damage settings going to be on this event just out of interest....?
