What do you do at nights?

The same as days :) We build oil manifolds for drillships and oil platforms

My initial testing saw me running 1:15.xxx in 'stock' Club settings (parts fitted but no tune)

Ah I see, hard work? I did some work at Rolls Royce Aero in Glasgow a few years ago. Fabricating jet engine parts. Kinda similar ^^

For the tunes, it's interesting. With max downforce you end up about 1.5lengths behind min downforce.down the straight.

Tested a bit yesterday with the update. Most laps were low-mid 1.13 and if I nailed T1 and got a great exit out of the last corner I did manage to get into the very high 1.12

T1 double apex is such a deciding corner. The way I take it is that I enter the corner almost without any breaking, try to maintain as high speed as long as possible and touch the second apex as late as possible. When over doing it and touching the outer curb i lose the rear and a lot of time. If too low speed I get too early on the second apex.

A great and very hard corner, fairly similar to the first corner at Suzuka.

Yeah exactly. If you take the first corner too cautiously you can lose half a second or more easily, but you go too hard it is even more time as you lose the back then the front. The only other time loss zones are the hard right, double apex left after the tunnel and the final hairpin. For the hard right you need to go wide and cut back sharply, and the final hairpin is all about carrying the speed through the mid corner.

No practice for me at all so far on this track! Not had the chance this week and I'm out tonight!

I feel your pain mate,no practice for me either :(

I know, it's a mare! And I have an appointment with a mortgage advisor after work tomorrow as I have to renew my mortgage, so I will get no practice to speak of!!! Crazy! Oh well, despite this I am looking forward to it even if qually is my first taste of the track with my FRS!

PlayStation Europe ‏@PlayStationEU

Apologies for the inconvenience, but we are now not expecting PSN maintenance to conclude until around 10.00pm GMT.

BUGGER!!!!

I'm online in GT5 now though ??? :indiff:

Don't tell me you's didn't log in to PSN before 4pm did you? Doh!

Oh dear :( That's why then...

ORIGINAL POST: In order to continue bringing you the best online games experience on PSN, we will perform routine maintenance beginning the afternoon of Thursday, 17th January. This maintenance will start at approximately 4.00pm GMT and last until around 4.00am GMT on 18th January. During the maintenance period, you may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access PSN.

The PlayStation Store and Account Management will not be available during the maintenance period but you WILL be able to access online play and apps provided that you have signed into PlayStation Network at some point between now and the time of the maintenance. So please be sure to sign in now if you wish to access the Network during Thursday’s maintenance window

But this was mean't to be Thursday afternoon! not 10pm on a Friday! Tossers!

Aye,i heard there would be maintenance but figured i'd be fine since it was meant to end some 16 hours before our race. Tossers indeed.

I wouldn't care, I've been on most of the afternoon trying to break my 1:15 mark...only just done it, but sadly nowhere near the 1:12's and 13's everyone else is talking about, I just can't get anymore speed from my BRZ!

98% of the track is fine, where all the time is has to be turn 1 and 2! :indiff:

But I guess we have slipstream during a race so that should pull a few seconds back but it's not ideal. Well I guess I'll have to see how many people haven't logged in in time for this maintenance before deciding if I'm blowing this weeks racing off :banghead:

I'm not signed in, if it does finish by 22:00 is everyone able to race then? I would be able to, see how the others are fixed

I didnt sign in. Didnt get home from work until 5.00pm yesterday and tried signing in about 7.00pm and got the maintenance notice. 10pm is a bit late for me if it does come back online by then, as I cant normally see properly by then.:sly::sly:

The playstation website still claims its until 6.30pm. Lets hope so.
