Hang on, is it psn maintenance or gt5 cos I'm signed in now and lots of others are signing in and out? Don't understand how I am signed in unless maintenance has finished

Because you were signed in to PSN like others before the maintenance began, we have 'reserved' our place on the server, people who haven't signed in at least 4 hours before the maintenance won't get authorisation from PSN (everytime we log on, we refresh our authorisation 'cookie') as it's offline and the last cookie in our PS3 will be out of date hence why you can't sign in
 
I'd be able to race even if it means delaying until 10pm,that's no problem for me.

Just had my first few offline laps. Best so far was 1:15.1.

No, I can't log in to PSN either.

1:15 :) pleased about that as thats looking like my consistent time :)

I didn't turn ps3 on until this afternoon, I thought if you sign in before a maintenance starts you at least had to leave it on to stay signed in

Yeah mine too. Was lapping consistently in the 15s. Hopefully this can come down a touch in the race but I can't see by much and really can't imagine where those 2 seconds are being taken out!!!

Managed a 1:15.2xx offline with the pad, so should shave some off with the wheel. Still cannot sign in. Looking like 10pm at the earliest before its fixed. FLAPS!!!!!
 
Well I suppose we could have a nice practice session if most of us can't make it. I'm online too by the way.
 
True, we'll see if anything happens come 8:30, see who can sign in, if not I can wait until 10pm

Anyone else online before could meet for a bit of a free practice sesh?
 
I'm signed in perfectly fine...

EDIT: and that's after doing a router reboot about 5 to 10 minutes ago because I didn't read any of the last 2 pages.. :D
 
Nope, can't sign in.

Update: I can download the patch. It keeps saying I am driving the HSC '03 when I change car. My TC version cars have the yellow exclaimation mark beside them and I still can't get online.

How in the nine hells did someone do a 1:12?

I might be getting into the 13s come race with drafts, but on my own I'm only capable to do low 14s...

My thoughts exactly. I know I am no rocket racer, but cant see where I left 2+ seconds on the track. I think with a bit more practice I may find it into the high 13s.

It's all setup. Was suck in the low 14s at first till I figured out a few things on setup then I got down to the low 13s.

Any idea what we're doing on start time?
 
I don't want to delay the race, but I don't want people to miss out, nor do I want to cancel...

The only option is wait a bit longer until the maintenance clears ?
 
Well I had few ways to get better times:
My alternate GT86 without wing
Soft compound
Custom LSD
->All illegal :dunce:

Still have a bit of understeer trouble due to that damned wing, even at minimum setting which could also be solved by adjustable LSDs.

I'm up for that, just keeping on standby until one of us gives the signal we can log in again!

Personally,I would rather that than reschedule and I'm sure Omnius doesn't want to mess up the calendar and if we choose another day you can guarantee not all could make it...

In the meantime I'll be topping up the fire with logs keeping warm! ;)
