CORE GT Series | RETURNING IN GT6!

As I said Hyper, we were willing to race whatever you wanted / had practiced for. We (TAM) use run off 4, and weren't in qualifying yet, we were just passing time waiting for the core. Whatever you wanted to race, we were ready. To say we were 'cheating' is ridiculous.

With regards to it being last minute stuff, the details have been on the TAM site since the race was arranged, we ran a 14 driver race for the last 3 positions, then had a full team waiting to race. There was nothing last minuite about it for us.

I never said you (TAM) were cheating..

The details might well be on your site, but I am not a member there you see.. Nor am I a member at the CORE site.. I was just joining to make up numbers tbh, getting my info from this thread. Anyway, was a poor show on our side with only 3 of us that joined...

Well thats fair enough m8, but i got some daft messages insinuating as such, which got my back up a bit seeing as we did everything as planned, anyway it was what it was, just some wasted time nothing thats anything really important whatever way you look at it. So if I got defensive it was really only because of a message from one guy not the rest of Core, and having said that we had a few casual races with omnius, Norfolk_Assassin and Buchanpower all of whom seemed like good guys who just wanted to get a race on the go that was a bit different from the norm. If im totally honest i feel sorry for Omnius, he got dropped into a hopeless situation which wasnt of his making at all, he had a black screen crash trying to get GT5 working and when he got in with us, only say 15 minutes late, he found that 15 minutes was too much for some of his guys to wait.

Ok CORE, to get us on the 'GT Map' as it were, and just like the Zero Cup on a Wednesday, the CORE GT series will start on Friday, and will take place every Friday from 20:30 - 21:00 (we'll have a vote on that time to maximise the turnout)

The series will be the TRIDENT GT (I'd posted the basic framework earlier) but I'm going to 'tweak' it a little

Also what I'll do is I'll re-use the first page post I made to be the holding post for each Friday's race (Cheers Ade 👍 )

Lets hope everyone will be up for this as much as I am (and others from here) for the Zero Cup Warrius runs every Wednesday

3 Races, 3 Tracks, 1 Champion!

This Weeks theme - RM CARS

RACE 1 - Production Cars - Monza 15 Laps.
PP 580
ABS & TC Allowed.
Open Tyre Regs.
10 minutes Qualifying.

RACE 2 - RM Cars - Nurburgring GP/F 15 Laps.
PP 500
ABS Only.
Race Tyres Only.
10 Minutes Qualifying.

The last race will always be the Nordschleife as the Mini Enduro, in game time 20:20.

RACE 3 - Production Cars - Nordschleife 3 Laps.
PP 614
ABS & TC Allowed.
Open Tyre Regs.
Reverse Grid from previous themed race.

Points will be scored as follows...

1st: 25 points
2nd: 18 pts
3rd: 15 pts
4th: 12 pts
5th: 10 pts
6th: 8 pts

If more than 6 racers...

7th: 6 pts
8th: 4 pts
9th: 2 pts
10th: 1 point

Each week the 'Themed' race will change as will the first 2 tracks, also some race regs may be BHP/KG as opposed to just PP

Also the option that the 'Themed' race may be a Custom track (👍 Warrius)

....oh, a little heads-up for the 9.09.11, Themed race will require a Tarmac Tuned Rally car

"Open Tyre Regs." > what do you mean?
Also we don't know if we're allowed to do any tuning within the PP limit (especially for races 1 and 3, where it says "production cars"). Are we?
"Race Tyres Only" > hard, medium or soft? or any (in which case everyone will choose soft)?

Production cars - Your normal 'road' car, for example anything that isn't already 'Track Modified' or designed for racing (Touring cars, SuperGT, WRC, F1 etc...)

PP Limit - As you can use any Production Car you desire for these races (1&3), how you get it to that PP is up to you, I want to create a field of not only good racers, but give people an opportunity to try to gain an edge by tuning their machines to not only suit their driving style but also the limits of their chosen car on whatever curcuit we're on.

Open Tyre Regs - Any tyre you want as some like to try and gain an advantage with durability over initial grip. The same goes for where I mention Race Tyres only, only choose from the 3 compounds obviously.

Themed Race - I'm sure I'd mentioned that Race 2 will only ever be the Themed Race in Trident?

Hope that clears some stuff up?

Oh and while I'm on, since this will be the debut to the Trident GT season, starting at the beginning of the month (September) whats going to work out nice is as we'll be doing 4 events per month (normally) We'll crown a monthly champion! Braging rights Ahoy!!!!

It's clearer, thanks. Apart from the tyres.
The tyre wear difference is not that great between Racing Soft and Racing Hard, for example, while the performance difference is great.
Also if you leave the choice of tyres entirely to us, no one would ever choose Comfort or Sport tyres when then know someone else will probably use Racing ones.

Yeah its looking pretty bad from this end! Its happening too often now for you NOT to have a problem elsewhere - afterall you can only re-boot your router so many times!
