STEWARDS ENQUIRY
Starting with
Club Race 2 first.
You will all see from the Leaderboard on Page 1 the results as I see fit. 'Orange' points are awarded (as per rules) for disconnections.
I feel jamesy deserved to be classed as this under special circumstances.
*jamesybograt vs sersjanten90*
It was clear that sers didn't allow jamesy the space, something which we in the CORE adhere to 100% -
if you're not *in the race* you don't race when being lapped - everyone accepts some days you are off the pace, but there is 12 weeks worth of racing to be had, there's no mileage (no pun intended) in causing an accident when you clearly know you are at the back, there's no excuse, accidents are accidents, but this wasn't one of those moments.
I am disappointed that sers drove this way, after a clean start to the season, he proved that he can hold his own, but we need rules to allow for a smooth season, and it is with this in mind sersjanten90 has been DQ'd from this weeks event, not only because of a poor driving decision, but after being warned - no wing or aero, I have observed that car 20 was running with front aero for both races.
*geordie139 vs Dowlin39*
This was the total opposite to the above incident. Dowlin had lost it and was spinning back onto the track where geordie just happened to slingshot around the corner straight into the path of a spinning Dowlin.
Obviously geordie's car received major impact damage and lost places, but also like jamesy felt he couldn't continue - and as it was a non fault, I feel it's only fair to award geordie139 the same 'disconnection' point(s)
Earlier spins and knocks were observed, and unless anyone feels they were on the receiving end of questionable driving, please let me know.
Club Race 1
R063R_GL4560W disconnected on lap 15 - standard 'Disconnection' points calculated and awarded.
Observed a collision between Senor_Bolsa and MG222 - fortunately for MG, no damage or positions lost. Senor then retired on his on volition.
I think on the whole the racing went brilliantly for the rest of us. Dunmoor GP is a good track, with a sting in the tail in parts
and you can get a good steady flowing lap(s) around Grand Valley East R quite nicely!
The new challengers did wonderful on the whole - Richyboy specifically, after missing 2 races, he's put himself up there snapping at the medal positions!
