My G27 just got delivered, not gonna use it for anything serious yet until i get used to it. But I've been working on a seat rig as well. That recaro seat is sweet as hell, i had to settle with a seat from a 206 from the scrapyard. Tough finding anything worth wile in a scrap yard, most of the seats from BMW or Audi there already had a living second skin or were torn badly. so far I've Spent 50euros on the rig, but its looking pretty well so far. I'll post some pics when I'm done with it.

Looking forward to seeing that!

As for the G27, word of advice, when online racing, stick to left foot braking and use the paddles!!!

I do enjoy the 'extra' feel you get from using the H-Shifter and clutch (along with new engine noises!) but as I found out, you can easily loose .5 seconds per lap using the clutch and shifter

I just stick to AI racing and car testing when using the clutch :sly:

Great practice session, thanks Omnius and everyone else. These short race sessions really help, as it gives you a feel for how the car behaves online with other drivers, which you dont get by practicing on your own. Looking forward to the races tomorrow.

👍 Cheers Ade for the idea to introduce them here :)

I know I use these short practice sessions for The Sunday Cup, but in all fairness it was a conversation I had with Senor_ bolsa that led me to recommend them to you, so thanks to bolsa also.👍👍

"Looking forward" is what I'll stick to tomorrow, that blatant bump was pretty embarrassing due to a failed sideways glimpse...

I would love an adjustable LSD for these tail-happy wheel boxes... kiss the grass edge just once and you have a frontal view of the competition...

have to agree thought, that session was good fun.

I did consider an adjustable LSD, but didn't want too many upgrades. figured the gearbox and suspension was expected to allow for a reasonable amount of setting up what is almost a factory spec car, the stage 1 exhaust was just to boost it up a touch to allow for a bit more control for the apparent slides the car can so easily do

Still you were running brilliantly in that last quick race, I enjoyed the battle 👍

Great session tonight guys I really enjoyed it. I'm glad Im pretty close to the pace you were all showing tonight, will make for an interesting race tomorrow 👍

Also Omnius, would it be ok if I changed the colour of my car?

Sure thing, just let me know and I'll update the leaderboard :)

Dowlin39
Thanks mate it is now green 👍 like the Mini and Evo.

Nice one! I'm liking it :) NOW that's better, it will feel like we're racing Dowlin when we see that flash of bright green

It's good having that familiarity across tournaments (although it's not a requirement! You're free to use any colours you like) for us to have recognisable colours or colour combinations :)

So are the wheels remaining white?

Yep the wheels are the same. Pity I can't put a third colour on the car, I want to fly the Irish colours while Im driving 👍

Roll on 20:30, Friday's always seem to drag when it gets to 3!

Just a heads-up for everyone, some of you may not know about the 'pole' online glitch? Well so it doesn't confuse anyone, when you enter my lounge for Round 3, the room will be set to Monza until everyone gets in, then I'll change it to GV East/R.

This is to stop the room host gaining pole regardless of lap time. A bug that has been in for a while, yet hasn't been squashed by PD yet!

Just thought I'd mention it here rather than waiting until tonight

👍

Think its gonna be a tough one for me tonight. Haven't turned a wheel in the Elise or even downloaded Dunmoor yet!!

I hope you mean Evora..? Had a practice with some of the new guys last night, and some are very fast, so you and Jamesy may have some company up at the front.

Hehe,aye,I meant the Evora.

Not as bad as a couple of weeks back when I got some rare Friday afternoon practice and put in 50+ laps on the wrong track. :)

Gutting!

Yeah, I think it will be an eye opener tonight, considering it will be the biggest field of the CORE GT since it's inception, not only with the new fast challengers :)

First , a big congratulation to richyboy for the first win and to whoever won the second race:tup:👍

Second ,WTF sers twice in the one race (you were being lapped both times) 👎👎👎

Third , seriously considering dropping out after that episode 🤬

NO In red with capitals in bold and underlined. I have watched the replay, and Sers should have given you track. The position he was in was last, and he was frustrated, but he should have followed the gentlemans rule and let you pass, not try to race you.

STEWARDS ENQUIRY

Starting with Club Race 2 first.

You will all see from the Leaderboard on Page 1 the results as I see fit. 'Orange' points are awarded (as per rules) for disconnections.

I feel jamesy deserved to be classed as this under special circumstances.

*jamesybograt vs sersjanten90*

It was clear that sers didn't allow jamesy the space, something which we in the CORE adhere to 100% - if you're not *in the race* you don't race when being lapped - everyone accepts some days you are off the pace, but there is 12 weeks worth of racing to be had, there's no mileage (no pun intended) in causing an accident when you clearly know you are at the back, there's no excuse, accidents are accidents, but this wasn't one of those moments.

I am disappointed that sers drove this way, after a clean start to the season, he proved that he can hold his own, but we need rules to allow for a smooth season, and it is with this in mind sersjanten90 has been DQ'd from this weeks event, not only because of a poor driving decision, but after being warned - no wing or aero, I have observed that car 20 was running with front aero for both races.

*geordie139 vs Dowlin39*

This was the total opposite to the above incident. Dowlin had lost it and was spinning back onto the track where geordie just happened to slingshot around the corner straight into the path of a spinning Dowlin.

Obviously geordie's car received major impact damage and lost places, but also like jamesy felt he couldn't continue - and as it was a non fault, I feel it's only fair to award geordie139 the same 'disconnection' point(s)

Earlier spins and knocks were observed, and unless anyone feels they were on the receiving end of questionable driving, please let me know.

Club Race 1

R063R_GL4560W disconnected on lap 15 - standard 'Disconnection' points calculated and awarded.

Observed a collision between Senor_Bolsa and MG222 - fortunately for MG, no damage or positions lost. Senor then retired on his on volition.

I think on the whole the racing went brilliantly for the rest of us. Dunmoor GP is a good track, with a sting in the tail in parts  :scared: and you can get a good steady flowing lap(s) around Grand Valley East R quite nicely!

The new challengers did wonderful on the whole - Richyboy specifically, after missing 2 races, he's put himself up there snapping at the medal positions!

Third , seriously considering dropping out after that episode 🤬

...and NO, you're not dropping out, you can take it! It was a racing incident which I hope has been delt with. Plenty races left 👍 Easily more points still to win :)

I'd like to also appologise to geordie for drifting into you at Dunmoor, and as the standard ruling, I hope you realised I waited for you to right yourself and to continue racing? 👍

I just want to apologize to geordie for that incident, It happened just like Omnius said but I regret it resulted in you pulling out geordie. Sorry

I'm sure we all can accept some races (especially when we have a large grid) that issues can happen but no one means to spoil a race for someone else, what happens just adds to the fabric of the season.

What's happened, has happened, it's a new race next week and the table is shaping up nicely!

So lets keep in mind the season is still wide open, which can only be a good thing 👍

It ok with my DQ. It is god to have clear roules. have learn a lot of this race. Have learn from my misstakes. will not do things like that again.

Just finished my very first test runs in Spa.
I was making 5 laps races in online lobby and managed to pull out 1.30.922 during one of these races and 1.31.564 during free run.
I switched off weather and made grip reduction on track sides low this should have helped for easyer handling and more tire life but anyway best lap could be done on 2nd or 3rd lap if u r lucky
Tire usage on 4wd cars is a real problem and I noticed that fastest possible tune is not always a way to win endurance
Looking forward for online practice with some of u . Cheers

You certainly did,good man 👍
To be fair though i had ran a touch wide anyway and was just hanging on to the outside of the track,it only took a small touch to send me off.

Just seemed to find myself in the wrong place at the wrong time on a few occasions.
