Thanks once again for the support lads, you are all right of course, we will reconvene next Friday as normal and as if this Friday didn't happen (my end, not the racing ade held in my absence!)

What I will do to keep the season on track is run next friday's event for roughly the same length in time, but apply a 'Club Racing' style layout with some minor adjustments.

So it will still be around the 1 hour mark but we'll race both R5 and R6 as 30 minute races a la Club Racing BUT the change will be qualifying for both races. No reverse grid :)

By the time you all read this, Rochester 68 will be available to download from my GT5 Profile.

So, this time, who's in.....?

I'm in, but the reduced lap number plays against my current setup :nervous:
Whats wrong with shifting the Series by one week? 30min race time and a mandatory pit stop seems kind of wrong, i could do 30min on a single set of tyres. On that note, i wouldn't mind two full fledged races on a single night either.

As for Rochester 68: Running the Evo on Capering settings netted me a 52:680 lap. A few adjustments and you could run the entire circuit without brakes...
On some turns I'm afraid my Evo will tip over sideways, mad track camber there.

Concerning reverse grid: I'm starting to like it more and more. Quick guys will still finish up top, but it delivers a bit more on track action. Ade's race yesterday had it on accidentally and it didn't turn out so bad.

Reverse grid will remain for the rest of the Club races, its just because R5 and 6 will be run on the same night, they are classed as 2 Championship races, not Club races. Extra point for pole, so both races need a Pole Position.

The pitstops work in the Club Races, and they are only 30 minute races, so it shouldn't be a problem really, in this instance, regardless of tyre condition, the pitstop acts as an equaliser really, the fast boys will have to pit just as much as us slower racers, that way there is still an opportunity to use strategy even on a 30 minute race.

Remember, this is only a 1 off, and I did'nt want to stretch everyone too much by leaving the races as 1 hour events nor did I really want to bump the season by a week.

But as I like to be fair and open for all of the members, I would like to hear how many would commit to either what I have suggested versus, leaving the races at full length and doing both next Friday, or shifting the whole season by one week?

👍

I am up for either, maybe make the races 45 mins each so pit strategies are not affected and racers not over stretched. I can understand the complexities by putting the whole series back by a week, ( dates on spreadsheets would all need changing etc )as I run the SC and Mini Madness, so personally I think that 2 races next week would be the best option for everyone.

i think you are right that we need to do the qualifying for both races ,
and i also would be up for two full races on the night .
but would put a strict time limit on them like 15 min qualifying and straight into the race .
also what about starting at 8pm if this is ok for everyone..

e.g... bang on 8pm quali 1 starts 8:15 race 1 race lasts about 45mins ,quali 2 15mins race 2 starts.

I'm up for this too 👍

I've addressed the laps on page 1 to reflect 45 minute races...

Yeah 2 rounds in 1 night is cool 👍, Can we have a 15 min break between the races tho? dont think my head can handle 2 hours straight :ouch:.

Starting a bit earlier is good idea lads. :)

Im definitely up for 2 races at once, I'm usually always in the mood to race again anyway 👍 Plus I have a day off next Friday.

Well here is how i spent my April 1:
It is that time of the year again where the motorcyle season gets officially opened again.

So off we go, armed with a lousy mobile phone camera.

The direction:
Yellow sign reads: "Nürburgring 10km", I like this sign.

There are only two days I'm religion, Christmas and this year, today. After receiving some blessings from a priest addressed to the entire motorcycle community (12000+ bikers where present), we go onto a motorcycle procession around Nordschleife. 12000 Bikes around Nurb, gotta take some pictures, I wont be around quick anyways.
Adenauer Forst (chicane after Fuchsröhre):

Klostertal (corner before Karussel):

And off course Döttinger Höhe (at the current Circuit entry/exit):

After the procession I went for a second lap, a lot less traffic on that one so I let her rip. I was going too fast for pictures, so i can't document that.

All I have to say for those who never had the chance to ride Nürburgring in real life: You don't really notice the steep elevation changes of the Green Hell in game, kind of a pity. But its better than any Rollercoaster ride.

Edit: Well that's weird, the IMG tags won't work, i'll just add the upload links.

how might I be able to join this league?

Absolutely!

All I need to know, is your RM number and colours for both your Evo and Evora (car & wheels)

Check page 1 for all the details and leaderboard for current numbers.

Other than that, welcome to the CORE 👍

Yes!

Sorry for the lack of updates, all is well though, just been busy with sorting out our new car, which we pick up tonight!!!!

I'll be here though for some practice on both tracks from 8pm :)

sorry lads might not be able to practise tonight (got a clan war going on at the same time), should give you boys a chance to get the drop on me for tomorrow:lol:

Well today was the day and after the arctic blast at the start of the week, I was VERY pleased we had a dry and very sunny afternoon for us to pick up the new toy 👍

I just love these wheels, and to think they do them in black as standard, shows how much that style has become popular...

Well there we are, I'm so pleased with it, drives really nice and has an awesome sound system too for blasting out the Metal 👍

I wish! The wife started the tea away, couldn't wait any longer for something to eat - we'd both been that hyper waiting to get to the garage :scared:

Looking forward to tonights races, havnt had much practice at Rochester, so will probably be way off the pace.

On another note, there are 2 places now available for tomorrows Mini Madness event after I had some late cancellations. Any Core members who havnt signed up are welcome to join the madness.
