Disaster for me tonight, don't know what it was but I was a good 1.5 - 2 seconds off the pace.

Ho hum,try again next week :)

I thought you weren't yourself tonight! Not right seeing you that far down the field

That was another great northumberland track omnius, a really nice flow to it 👍

Shame i could'nt keep it on the black stuff tho :ouch: think the first race was so intense for me i could'nt get in a rythem on cheviot, well deserved victory on the second race dowlin after that incredible battle on the first race

Another great nights racing, thanks Omnius. I was pleased with the first race, and got into a good thyme on clubman stage 5. I have only ever raced there in Aspec mode, apart from the other night in The Cobra cup. I pulled out of the race at Cheviot. I was well down on pace from Thursdays practice session with my fastest lap over the 8 I did being a 1.20.xxx. Not sure what it was, I still had the suspension set up from the previous race so it could have been that, but the car felt good in the turns. When Jamesy lapped me on lap 8, I felt it was time to pull out, so I didnt get in anyones way.

Thanks Richy, it's one of my favorite custom numbers 👍 as with all custom tracks, you never know what you will get, then there's the testing with different power bands and drivetrains and finally the tweaks here and there to try and make the track intersting for the full lap. Granted these 'track' based ones give better results than the 'road' ones but I'm confident I'll come up with a cracker road track for season 4 :sly:

I know this is a little premature, but can you count me in for this Friday night???

I know I said I'd be back last night but the girlfriend's brother's wife's parents (whew, quite a mouthful, like a line out of Ferris Bueller...) were over from Norway and we all.....yep - went out for a dirty big feed.

Are we still in the Evo and Lotus? And it's at the big 'Ring this week? Ah, the memories - I believe it was my debut in the CORE when we went there and I won by something like 27 seconds in my Gallardo and I remember thinking to myself 'These guys are eeeeeeeeeasy!'

HOW WRONG I WAS
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Always fantastic racing and I'm looking forward to getting back ;)

EDIT: Got the UCD website going now perfectly :) Thanks to Omnius for the heads-up on the handy little link and also Dowlin for the tip on how to make it work ;)

Now for my next GT5-related query - any of you got any tips on how to grind up to A-Spec L40??? I've been at L37 for what must feel like the last 13 years.... Doing a few seasonals there hardly even shifted the bar at all :(

Have you done any of the long endurance races. I dont know what sort of XP they pay out. I havnt done any of them yet, as I havnt had the time, so my last couple of points have been through online racing alone.

Also, if you are free next Saturday, it is the last ever Mini Madness event. Would be good to see you there to.

Mate those were some fun races yesterday! i clearly have to improve my race pace, because in qualifying I feel like Lewis Hamilton XD. Throughout the first race, specially at the end of the stints I was loosing about 2 seconds per lap, I tried to leapfrog the first 2, but didn´t quite manage it :( I gotta say that I loveto make pole, and this last one was a special one, I don´t know the margin between me and the 2nd place, but my lap was perfect, I went out a second time but I couldn´t repeat it, I go everything out of that car!!!

Thanks very much Richy, I'm suprised I held it together as well as I did after that hectic race  You put me under a lot of pressure there like I did to you before the pitstops and I was kicking myself for letting my lead slip after I got the jump on you in the pits but you deserved that victory 👍

And I love Cheviot GP, definitely the most eventful race I've been involved in :scared:. I was extremely lucky that in the accidents that I had that I managed to recover quite quickly and also escape without too much time lost after jamesy's spin 👍 A great evenings racing last night Omnius and I'm looking forward to next week 👍 👍 👍

Also it was great to see, on Cheviot GP's last event, that F1 made its way to Northumberland...

Even if it was just me and Jamesy messing about

Also I think I'll throw together a race report with pictures in the next few days if I can, it would be wrong not too after all that happened

What boat are we in this Friday night? Sorry - haven't been enough of a regular recently to know when we're racing what......

Blue text = Evo
Green text = Evora

Red text = Evo???

I can only see the two cars on page one..... Was there not chat at one point of a Ford GT being used every Xth week or something....?

Championship races (Blue), Club Races (Green) The Evo is Season 3's Championship Car, The Evora is Season 3's Club Racing Car. Red is for Endurance Races :)

GOOD NEWS!!!!

The Ginetta G4 is now available in the OCD!

So everyone will be able to buy one, just don't tune it yet until the main page updates following the last race this Friday

👍 👍 👍

So why have I been doing the UCD grind for a G4.......? Ugh.

Someone said on here before, Omnius, that you must have close connections with PD - you introduce a car for racing, then it appears in the OCD. Too much to be mere coincidence, methinks.....

Good thing! I would have hated to have to grind the UCD for a G4 with felt 20 million miles on the speedometer... I'll purchase one on my Duping account as well so I'll be able to hand out some to newcomers.

I know! I couldn't believe it this morning when I checked!!! Believe me it is pure coincidence!

But I'm happy everyone will have an opportunity to get the car without the grind and also pre owned versions normally end up being tuned with some parts being unremovable, so this removes that panic that using a standard car brings when trying to keep the numbers up on the grid 👍
