Corvette C7 Test Prototype ’13 DLC Out Now!

My thoughts on the car. Drove it at Top Gear (Offline) and Laguna Seca (Online) on SH tires.

To start, I love it, mostly. On both tracks it feels fast enough - any more and I think the tires would start to feel overwhelmed. The car puts down the power quite well though you can't just hammer it whenever you feel like it - This is still 450 HP.

It enters and goes through corners with surprising agility. It actually feels a bit NSX'ish to me, especially at corner entry. The front sort of dives and chucks itself in while the back stays planted but mobile. Perhaps the 49/51 weight distribution has something to do with it. It's also very easy to rotate the car with both the gas and brakes as well. Love the handling!

Braking distance is a bit of an issue as it just feels too long. Also under very heavy braking the car tends to become a bit unstable and twitchy at the back (Braking into Corkscrew for example).

The car also has a quirk of going unstable at times. On a couple of occasions the front would dart quickly between left and right, easy to dispatch but makes you stay alert. I also got a bit of lift on one run going into the corkscrew.

Final words..The sound is really good - it actually makes you want to drive the car. I feel it could be a bit more "lively" but as it stands it's still good.

Had Lap times around the 35-36 mark on Laguna Seca (464 HP - SH - Online)

This car feels pretty stable and the new gen V LT1 is torquey.
Can't wait to see what GM has in store for the different levels of this new engine.
I'll include some pics a a new mag divulging some details on the new HSV lineup.
The article confirms some details related to the Corvette.

Thats vulgar... Like a Camaro rear ended the Torana concept that was shown a few years back... Terrible... And really, the only details related to the Corvette is the size of the engine which remains unchanged (displacement wise) from the previous Corvette models anyway. So really, that article tells nothing, other than giving me more of a reason to not like Holden.

EDIT: Entirely unable to be upgraded with the exception of tires. Don't be like me wasting 100 grand on another one to upgrade like an idiot.

Well I'm growing slightly frustrated. It's Appeared on my EU Store. I Clicked to Download It went to the Next Screen. Pressed Circle to go back (Because I'm still not used to this Crappy New PSN Store) Then went to Re Download It and It's now Displaying "Unable to Download Content at this time"?! What?! This new PSN Store is so unreliable and doesn't update properly in Real Time. I wish Sony would Revert back to the Old Store as this one is painfully slow and it takes you ages to even find what you're after!

It's indeed frustrating not being able to download it. If you go to search then select C then select 7 you will find it easy to locate

I dont think the issue is finding it its the issue that it wont download.

I tried my Australian PSN Store as well (As DLC Is PAL Region same as the UK) Same Issue. You go to Add it to Basket, Checkout. Then Once Checked out the DLC Isn't on the Page for you to Download. I've checked the Download History as well and It's not there either for both Accounts. Guess I'll have to wait till Sony have pulled their finger out and fixed it on the Store for everyone.

You're probably a fantastic driver who plays constantly. This game is designed for the masses. The average player who's not fully active in the GTP community might not even know about this until they fire up the game randomly within the next week or two.

It's a shame I simply don't get on with the new Layout. It's confusing. And It's much slower for me. It used to take under 5 Seconds to Launch into the Store before. But now the PSN Store Itself is an App that you have to Launch Into. Takes at least 20 Seconds to Load into for me. Also my Download History over the Years has been completely jumbled up :/ Some things are now Missing and some things like the Wipeout HD Fury Expansion now believes it's a PSP Add On not a PS3 Version
