Im going to do a Comparison C6 vs C7, And ill tell you end result
I smell some Top Gear, Motor Trend and Best Motoring being cooked up now!
I'm doing some test on the 'Ring with the C7 Vette now. These are the times, both with a DS3 controller:
1st Nur Trial. 7:50.562 with TCS 2, ABS 1, SH tires and no SRF.
2nd Trial: 7:48.093 with TCS 5, ABS 1, SH tires, no SRF.
The car is freaking amazing! The "LSX" torque curve is fantastic when coming out of corners, put your foot down on exiting a corner, even on the nearest straight, you can feel the torque just push you like a strong gust of wind, especially out of corners.
TCS off or at 5, this car likes to DRIFT. But just like the GT86/FR-S/BRZ, you can control the car around the corners without doing at of counter steer and praying to the Car Gods that you don't get snap oversteer. That's how the C7 feels, but it can still go berserk if you push it too much. It happened to me quite a few times, but it's not completely scary like a Viper or Yellowbird, but still can give you the shakes
.
The suspension feels real soft on the bumpy 'Ring, if the real one has that setup, then you probably don't want a person to give you a massage anymore, because the springs just absorbs the faults of the road without any problems of throwing the car's rear axle off course, plus with leather seats, it will feel soothing to you back and you'll enjoy driving this everyday.
Anyone doing some "theories" times on the 'Ring and giving out some estimation on how the real Vette can do on the real Nurburgring?
@Husky: Yep when I saw that interior, it reminded me of the C4 and Mk4 Supra cockpit, pure nostalgia of the 90's!
