Yep.. i don't like it neither, though i do see a slight bit of wheel-arch flare, which for me is marginally better than the renders iv'e been seeing, but that's still not enough to make me like it.
Needs more flare + different lights.

Pushing the Camaro taillights where they don't belong, first the Malibu now this. But I don't mind as long as the rest of the car looks good.

The design is pretty good. It's not as good as the new Viper. They should've tried a bit harder to keep the round taillights, though it doesn't look like an easy task with all the angles. I'm looking forward to seeing the real car in different colors. Like the Viper some will be a notch better than the others.

See the avatar? He's just trying to sabotage GM (after they sabotaged themselves?).

In all serious though, the tail lights are OK. It's the stupid black streak hanging off the bottom that bothers me. If it's not a vent, I'd close it up.

No my avatar has nothing to do with my post. I really, honestly like the Camaro styled lights on the Corvette. I'm just being the oddball, I find it very appealing.

The avatar thing was a joke.

Also, the fact that this car has a massive draggy spoiler is a bit disappointing.

The back of that car looks hideous. It reminds me of something that would be in a Burnout game.

I'd point out that Burnout Revenge had a near look alike Gumpert clone, and that it was as good looking as the real car, but apparently everyone thinks the Gumpert is ugly anyway.

The change to squarish lights was completely unnecessary, but at least it still looks Corvettish. Now let's just hope GM pulls a C4 and fixes them mid way through the C7's life.

See, to me they don't look "Corvettish" at all, as you say. To me they scream Camaro with the dished style. If they were squarish in the C4 style where they were separate (and no mascara), then they wouldn't be so bad.

I don't really like it. It's not that the taillamps are from the Camaro, it's that the shape of the whole unit is weird. Also, the angularity and depth makes them appear more suited to an art and science Cadillac or Lamborghini.

You know, this all seems like Chevrolet is stuck in one of those "extreme" phases like Cadillac was in 2000 and children's cartoons were in the 1990s. Everything needs to be razor sharp and edgy and cool or else it's awful.

It almost seems like a parody.
