From what I read, people are welcoming the military. Traditionally in Turkey, the military has always been the guardian of the secular state.

While I was napping there appears to have been a coup in Turkey. OMFG.

Two real quick observations and then I will go snap on the TV.
- Turkey is probably the most strategically located country in the world.
- The coup has started off on shaky ground, since it has not neutralized or liquidated Erdogan.
