What would be the point in the UK? Get rid of the buffoons in power then when it all settles down the public vote in another walking talking baboons ass. There is no one worthy of running this country in charge of a party at the minute.
Nominations are welcome with a brief reason why.
May be Jonathon Ross he fits the buffoon mode but everything he gets involved in turns out golden.

It was just a joke but yeah it would probably result in Farage as PM or something god forbid

I'm more worried about the leaders of the coup itself - maybe it's just me, but I can't see an altruistic side to a group of men who decide to abandon what little rule of law there is when things don't go the way they've liked.
Oh, I agree. If history has taught us anything, it's that the usurper is rarely any better than the usurped.

I have Al Jazeera, CNN, BBC, RT and the Dutch networks on but I haven't seen a single video of shootings. Just reports of shots heard here and there.

Events are starting to turn now from a relatively peaceful transition to one with quite a lot of danger especially if not all the Army is on one side.

Aren't NATO states supposed to stick together?
Supposedly the US policy would be to evacuate the base at Incirlik. But the silence from the US deafening. They are caught completely flat-footed, profoundly smothered in ignorance and confusion.

CCTV camera footage looking at bridge over Bosphorous which is blocked by troops. Large crowd walk towards soldiers, shots fired, crowd hit the deck, later shots show casualties being carried away.

Was hard to see as not good quality video. Don't think BBC even realised as they didn't cut away from the shot initially.

I see all of them crawl away by themselves in the end of said video, so i suppose they fired in the air or at their legs.

Just saw it on Youtube. Skynews feed.

Not exactly. Article V mentions nothing about internal coups.

Yeah thats true. At this point is he still the President of Turkey?

Who knows, it could already be happening. All the action is at Ankara and Istanbul. That base is miles away from both cities.

EDIT: Maybe they are waiting for a real sign that, Erdogan has been removed from power and there is a new government.

The coup is not going well.
Curfew called, but people come out in defiance. Erdogan not seized. Country polarized, with Erdogan having 50% support, Islamists versus secularists. This is a giant mess the US did not see coming. We are playing for the highest stakes, and so is Russia, Israel and everybody else. Yet we are blindfolded playing at our own game of regime change. Somebody else's fox is loose in our hen house.:odd:

Just saw it on Youtube. Skynews feed.
I saw two instances of it. One live on Sky news when civilians were a couple hundred metres away from soldiers and second live on Sky news when the civilians were much closer to soldiers. If you're watching Sky news you must have seen the cctv camera shot I am talking about. Sky news showing the shot regularly.
