Maybe for GT7 on PS4, they could implement also Google's street view and sync it with GPS recording.
Oh dear God Google would really have to step up the resolution to do that or it would look horrible

The game would generate it's own recreation of the imagery from Google, you wouldn't use actual Google images.
I felt the previous course maker environment was a bit bland.
Some improvements I would like to see.
- Like to see other sponsorship signs added across the track in addition to GT signs
Well that is a good point but wow think of the processing power that would take!
You know though, I'd be fine waiting for the system to crunch it out for three days if thats what it took to make it that detailed in the end.
Or how about the ability to get rid of all signage? It drives me crazy everytime I have a great shot lined up only to battle with the angle so I don't get a GT banner in the background.
Can't answer that but I do know you can create huge environments in Company of Heroes by placing roads and buildings and scenery where you want them. It's PC based so maybe you'd need PS4 for this, not sure. But imagine how epic it would be!!! Place your own pits, curbs, scenery, marks on the track, runoffs, gravel traps, barriers etc. If the intention with the Andalusia area is to be able to create tracks within the map, you'll need barriers for the city streets obviously, so they are at least on that track.
analogAgree, useless self promotion aside (I already bought the game), it also takes away some of the immersion when pretending you're driving an actual road instead of a track (mainly on the Tuscany theme) which with a point to point option would be even more present.

Who needs Google Earth? We could take GPS data from the Mars Rover and have our own Google Mars.

I guess I was speaking to the LOD GT has. I have no idea how detailed COH is since I've never played it but I do remember (and this might date me a bit) how big of environments you could make in Unreal Tournaments editor so you've got a point that I can see. Certainly would be b*tchin if you could control all of that stuff ala ModNation.
This. Don't forget about Mt.Aso![]()
I hope it drops some pits and good looking curbs and barriers into the tracks we create since it looks like we'll be sort of free roaming around the city and countryside.
Personally I'd like the ability to turn off all curbing (obviously barriers will be needed).
Wow colorblind huh? That's got to make some things difficult
WooHoo 600th post for me!
Couldn't resist.
I can also see some potential drawbacks with gathering data though;
"Sir, why were you overtaking just before a badly visible corner?"
"Officer, I wanted to create a chicane just before that corner so I don't carry too much speed through it in GT6."
It's persistence and commitment.Ummm, you can't fix stupid.

Pretty sure analog was just making a joke, though, to be clear.
Indeed, although it did cross my mind whether gathering data whilst driving (or with the sole purpose of gathering data) might have an influence on the style of driving, be it good or bad, intentional or unintentional for the simple reason of being aware of it.
That's even irregardless of the amount of substance between the ears, although the consequences may differ.

Yea I thought about mentioning that, but then I wouldn't have felt the need to post. I likes posting!... means stupid will always win!

I'm not sure. I think it wouldn't make a difference. Well, if anything, it might cause me to actually drive the speed limit around my area (20-30mph speed limits seems ridiculous when it's not IN a neighborhood.)Indeed, although it did cross my mind whether gathering data whilst driving (or with the sole purpose of gathering data) might have an influence on the style of driving, be it good or bad, intentional or unintentional for the simple reason of being aware of it.

You do know the driving is done on the track which is the road? And 15 custom tracks isn't a lot. I only use about 5 different custom tracks for drifting specifically for the past year as I've been playing/driving/drifting less and hardly racing. It really bugs me how the fence is right on the edge of the track, and how fake the turns are... I have never enjoyed a custom track, and i have been around about 10-15 different ones, they are all the same. Then the scenery is an occasional tree... and its the same tree every 200 feet![]()
First of all 👍It kind of makes me wonder how this next track creator is going to be. It's like "oh, I recognise this alleyway/street in my track, I should know it here in this other persons track/course". There's also the factor of what previous people have said. The benifet of having a random creater for (inevitably) not having enough creativity and having the same tracks.
I can't seem to help but to feel a little bit excited for gt6. Understandably, some (or most) may feel it's what GT5 SHOULD have been at the start, but atleast now it's even more refined and the pro's that the gt series have will shine just that much more. Atleast we have a decently licensed suspension and tire load/tracking system this time around.
Sure there is a strong possibility of having some let downs here or there along the way, but I can only see improvements and a strong foundation beginning to rise for this series...
On a side note, i don't think we will fully see what the GT series has in store for us until the 7th or 8th rendition.
I don't think they're going to charge you for course maker stuff. When PD talked about intending to release monthly DLC on GT6, would that also include course maker themes?
Just curious that's all![]()
